Love the vibe here. The food is hit or miss-spotty quality, sometimes missing ingredients, and sometimes cold. But overall going out for tacos and a couple drinks for 2 shouldn't cost $100. Did take-out burritos with friends. All of us enjoyed our burritos. I had the potatoe one, which came with this super great sauce that was a total bonus. I also appreciated the option of having beans on the side (which had good flavor). My friends had the falafel burrito, and while they liked the burrito, apparently the green sauce it came with seemed a little spoiled/off. So that was a downer. We shared the strawberries & cream for dessert, which was a simple treat. I would definitely go back, highly recommend both types of burritos, and suggest checking the sauce before you leave. read more

Owner is cocky, doesn't like bad reviews. Too bad, don't make crappy food and employ terrible servers. Drinks are horrible, they put some weird sauerkraut stuff in the burrito? The server asked why we didn't like our food, we told her, she responded with "oh, okay" and left. Then didn't return to the table. She sent someone else. Bad food can be made up for with good service but that didn't happen. Owner calls people names like "brat" and tries to berate them on a reply. Will even delete reviews (like my husbands) and make up lies about them in the response. Seriously unprofessional. Who hurt you, honey? You're acting like a child who doesn't get their way. Buho is my favorite restaurant in west Seattle, hands down. I don't know how it's taken me so long to leave this review! The minute you walk in, everything seems to calm down in the best way. The low lighting, chill music and comfy booths invite you to relax and stay awhile, and the BOMB ASS drinks and food will keep you in your seat. The new patio is really nice too, though it can be chilly (it's Seattle) so bring a sweater. I've tried most everything on the menu... the burritos are all delicious, love the nachos with house made queso, and the green quesadilla. My usual order is the ceviche and a couple of tacos. I brought my family in for dinner and everyone loved the guacamole, Asada fries, and the shrimp pineapple tacos. Pretty much, you can't go wrong on the food. Every time I come in it seems like there's something new to try out. I absolutely love the cocktails here, but recently they added the Ranch Water to the menu and.... damn. It is dangerously good. Like an unsweetened, super refreshing margarita that goes down like water. Speaking of dangerous, the housemade hard slushees are not too sweet and strong af. If you're like me and you like to sip your tequila or mezcal straight, Buho has you covered there too. It's the only local spot I've found that has such a good selection. Don't sleep on this place, the food, drinks and vibe are far above and beyond your average bar, especially in white Center. Buho used to be one of our favorite spots for good cocktails and great food. Not any more... The food quality is way down and the prices are way up! I ordered the Chili Chocolate Old Fashioned and it was mostly spicy chili pre-mix and very spicy. I had to order a diet coke to water it down with. My husband ordered a spicy Margarita and that was mostly sweet and sour mix with no detectable tequila flavor at all. Food- The guac tasted like lime dip, the queso was good. The cream corn dip didn't have much flavor and just wasn't appetizing at all. My fish tacos didn't have much flavor. The service- There was one bartender/server working the entire bar. She was not friendly or welcoming at all. A few times she was walking away while we were still trying to order. Overall a bad experience here and we won't be coming back! read more

I got the carne asada fries and was pretty disappointed because I figured it's hard to makes a plate of fries and meat not appetizing, but I was wrong. We were lucky enough to discover this place pre-Covid and MAN am I glad we did. Buho is a neighborhood treasure. We've tried quite a few things at this point and not a bad thing yet! Their chicken sandwich is hands down the best chicken sandwich I've ever had (I really wish they'd sell those pickles by the jar!). Steak burrito and their green quesadilla are also delicious. We've had all the dips -- their salsa/pico, guacamole, queso and tonight the ceviche. All fantastic! The ceviche was the best we've had since a trip to Colombia a few years ago. Their drinks (slushies to go!) are also delicious -- especially the horchata. Service has always been fantastic, both over the phone and when we've been there in person. As much as we'd love to keep this place our secret, we'd be devastated if something happened and they left WC. Stop what you're doing and go support Buho!! read more
