I have to tell you when I first started with this company I had the best rep in Jeff. Well unfortunately since then he has left, Maybe he knew something I did not. Since then they brought me into a 90 contract for lawn treatment and when this bill of goods was sold to me, I was told they would come out and treat whenever I wanted them too. So I called them Monday and they stated they would have a rep come out, he did and he determined that he did not need to treat. I wanted the lawn treated did not make a difference. They refused to come out on my request as the contract was sold to me. I then spoke with their Supervisor and he told me the same thing, we will treat after your yard is showing signs of damage. So you came out with a truck to treat, all the chemicals and the EXPERT Rep and you did not treat in an effort to make the client happy. I asked them to treat for Sod Web Worm and Dollar weed. NOTHING. Please make sure you know they will sell you something with promises that will be governed by them not you. I feel as though their SALESMAN set an expectation, that they now will not do........One thing is for sure when this Contract is up I WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW COMPANY! I've had bugout yard service since 1998 in the last several years they have gotten very bad at what they do. my lawn always looked great but it had gotten so bad that most of my front yard is dead. Not because of the winter like they told me but because it wasnt treated properly like it had been for years. so I am left with the expense of have to sod or seed my yard. I signed a contract with Bugout on 9-10-2026 to treat my lawn after I discovered sod web worms embedded in the new sod I had laid three weeks earlier. After the salesman wrote up the contract using his IPAD he had me electronically sign it and stated that I would receive a copy via email over the next three hours. He never went over the terms of the contract with me. Once I received the contract in my email I reviewed it and discovered the contract had several errors that were not checked. One of the most key treatments that was not checked was insect control. I immediately called the salesman back and told him what errors I found with the contract and to reissue me another contract with the corrections made. He advised me that the lawn treatment technician once he comes out to service my lawn would be the one that would update the contract. I realize at that point that this salesman was simply running a con game. I contacted Bugout customer service and explained the errors I found with the contract and asked that a new contract be iniated. The customer service representative advised me that they were sending a message to the local manager in Jacksonville to get the issue resolved. That call never came and after contacting Bugout customer service a couple of more times as a follow up with no attempt from the manager to even try to resolve my contract issue I made the decision on 9-11-2026 to cancel my contract with Bugout. Beware of this company trying to scam customers into paying additional money for basic monthly service. The salesman intentionally left the boxes unchecked for that reason. I've used Bugout for over 10 years. When I had an infestation of termites and ants while trying to sell my house, they were too busy to come and provide treatment. I had to wait over a week. I also use them for lawn service and after giving them a year to improve the lawn, I did't see any difference over when I treated the lawn myself. It doesn't seem worth the price. read more

Tech submitted his service ticket without showing up. He's done it 2X. We have ring security. ticket said he used 4 gallons of herbicide. It must be the magical kind that you don't even have to show up and spray it. Canceling my Service after 10 years. It's really gone down hill. BEWARE CONSUMERS! We HAD Bug Out for our lawn service. We have over an acre of property, and we require Bug Out, or the like, to prevent weeds in our grass and keep out the bug infestation. Despite watering our grass regularly with a comprehensive irrigation system (our water bill is in excess of $600/month in the summer months), a large portion of our front grass died. This particular area appeared to have been infested and taken over by weeds. When we reported the issue to the guy servicing our grass, we asked him what we were to do about the weed infestation and the dead grass and his response was, "I don't know!" We contacted the District Manager who did not get back to us for over a week. When he finally returned our call, he came out and looked at the grass and told us the dead grass was due to lack of water. So, we turned on our comprehensive irrigation system to show him there is no lack of water to that area as evidenced by the full coverage of water and the aforementioned $600/month water bill. The DM quickly changed his tune from lack of a sprinkler system to, "well there's not enough water in this area!" Despite ALL evidence to the contrary BUG OUT WAS NOT WILLING TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR LACK OF PREVENTATIVE SERVICE. The DM assessed our front lawn and said we would need to be serviced twice with a 3-week window in between to get rid of the weeds that had grown in front. Following, our regular service guy came out one time and then never returned. He was scheduled to come back 3 weeks later, and, on the date, he was scheduled to come he never showed up. We reviewed our security camera footage to find that the Bug Out truck did pass our property on that date during our service window. The driver drove right by our home, never stopping, not even slowing down and never treating our grass. When we called to inquire and express our frustration, we were told it was canceled due to weather! So, we rescheduled and again he was a no show. Yet Bug Out can point their finger at us as if it was our negligence that caused the problem. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Bug Out has been fired due to their lack of service and accountability. We will not be paying the final bill as it has now cost us $650 in time and materials to replace our dead grass and restore the remaining grass to health. BUG OUT, BEWARE BECAUSE MY RESOLVE ON THIS WILL NOT FADE AWAY. I HAVE OPENED UP A COMPLAINT AGAINT BUG OUT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I was fine - until Michael Mihan came to my house to inspect my home. I had a door who framework got water damage. He bent down and got a speck of black on his finger and said the damage was done - that he had a termite on his thumb. I am a 70yr old widow who is also a veteran. Michael continued to talk the dome and gloom that was happening to my house. I wanted to talk to a friend about this before I did anything - he said can't I make my own decisions - this went on forever - till I agreed to get him to leave. I made a payment on 11/11 and cancelled my auto pay and set up billing on a new debit card for future payments. Someone went in and took 2 payments off my account overdrawing my account. now I have a negative balance with the bank. You are no longer approved to take auto payments from my account. I will make all my payments from now on. We had hurricane damage that we were trying to get taken care of and now you have me going through this. Constantly weeds would sprout up. They would send someone out to spray again. Never any better. I paid what I owed and told them I was cancelling, but still they sent someone, apparently and are charging me another $45 for service that they had cancelled and I had cancelled. First they claimed I wasn't covered because they didn't initially do the treatment. i had to go to a storage facility to provide the original receipts/records which Bug Out conveniently misfiled at an afternoon of my time After much fighting and arguing over damages which have been verified by 2 contractors) Bug out agreed to pay 50 % of damages as they said i was " a valued" customer. However... once the got the bill they reneged saying they only thought is would be a few thousand dollars and didn't anticipate the real cost to repair. After TWO employees PROMISING me 50% co pay on damages.............. When i requested an independent private adjuster try to work this out they said if i do that their offer was off the table. I then said that I would have to get an attorney and they had the same response. If I got an attorney i would get "nothing" from bug out and again their offer would be rescinded. Basically Bug Out was blackmailing me to accept their minute settlement and would not even listen to contractor who sent pictures and explained damages. I was totally pushed against the wall and finally after much duress accepted their offer. Now over 2 months later, I have not been paid after emails and calls not returned from bug out, i finally called and threatened small claims court and/or investigative TV. Yea.... On May 28th 2016 I cancelled pest control service with them for service which began in January. On June 10th, a manager told me that a pro-rated refund check was sent to me on June 8th. Come June 20th, no check had arrived. I called again and this time I was told that a check was issued to me on June 17th. It is now June 25th and still no check has arrived. I was still getting bugs in my home so I gave them a call to come and take a look. Roaches and millipedes. They gave me a 4 hour window to show up at my home and keep in mind this is pest control, 4 hour window for service? Well they couldn't even make that time and didn't even bother to call and let me know. 45 minutes past my service window and someone shows up banging on my door. He told me he was sent over to deal with me and had no idea why he was at my house. He told me that this was not even his area and was just told to run over here. They obviously do not care about the customer's time. I held out from writing a bad review because they did call me after my email to them and apologized for the missed appointment. I was told I would receive 2 months free for my inconvenience and guess what?, they charged me the very next month. They told me someone would contact me to discuss that a few days ago and still no phone call. I will be terminating their service as I do not see any benefits from what they are doing. I decided to write a review for this place because I had a lot of hesitation that they would never fix our bug problem. It started off we just moved to Florida and we had bugs everywhere. I was beginning to think I couldn't live here. We would see 4-5 big bugs a DAY. We were stressed out about the bug situation and nothing we were doing ourselves seemed to work, including spraying along outside our house with the over the counter stuff called Bug Guard. We finally decided to break down and pay the money. When the guy came over I noticed that he took off the electric outlet covers and sprayed or put something behind the walls. I thought they just sprayed stuff. I loved that idea. Well not soon after I began seeing bugs everywhere. I thought this stuff is not working. I also noticed the ones I was seeing were dying as they came out. I still didn't want to see them though so I called Bug Out and they assured me that after a week or so I would stop seeing them. Sure enough, we have stopped seeing them. We are SO happy we don't have bugs anymore. If we do find them, they are dead before we find them but that is very rare. We are so much happier now knowing we don't have a bug problem. (As for that review that was already here, I read that one on Google and they replied to it and said they were contacting him/her to fix the problem. I don't know what resulted but I thought I would mention it because their review put me off also). read more
