Without fail, the BEST buffalo wings in New England. probably the best outside of Buffalo. It's small, divey and exactly what you should want and expect. Great steak tips too and decent draft beer selection. Staff is great too. read more

Wow. The wings are amazing. The French fries are amazing. Even the celery is amazing. I will definitely be coming back. Our waitress was so nice and the food came out incredibly quick. If you're looking for a good buffalo wing then head over to Buff's. read more

I tried the club burger. It was delicious: meat was seasoned and cooked right. The bacon thick and crispy. I also tried the buffalo wings and they were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Be careful, they only take cash; no credit card. read more

Mediocre at best... Service and atmosphere are not bad but the food is bland and boring. As far as the " Award wining wings " The judges must have been high because they are not good at all. read more

Love this place. As many reviews mentioned before: You have to try the wings! Especially the "Honey Hot". This sauce is so delicious. I get wings from them at least once a month. They're always great!! I have to admit they dont have a constant quality of wings. Sometimes they're bigger, sometimes they're smaller.... But don't worry, they're never bad. Even on a bad wing day, they're much better then at most other wing places. The atmosphere is great, the stuff is the best and the rest of the food I tried so far is very very good too. Don't forget to stop at the ATM before, its cash only. read more

I've heard so many people rave about the wings here. They are pretty good but not to die for or anything. Not many great wing spots around Boston so maybe that's it. Honestly the burgers I've had here are better than the wings. read more

Hey, the wings are good no doubt....can't deny that...but that is not my beef... Regardless of whether you get 6 wings or 20 pieces, they give you the same amount of blue cheese dressing...and if you ask for more, they charge you! Seriously? If I order out 10 wings I should get one blue cheese...if I order 20, two...but they charge you for anything over one no matter how many wings you order.... It just cheapens the experience and makes me double think the indulgence. read more

Best wings I have ever, ever had. No hyperbole. Swear to the heaven's! Admittedly, I have only ever gotten the honey hot wings, I love them so much I am perfectly fine going with them for eternity. Perfectly crisped, sweet-mildly-hot sauce...finger licking good. I swear they may sprinkle their wings with Heroin because once I start guzzling these things down, I cannot stop. Seriously, if you like wings and have never been here, GO! By god, GOOOOOOOO! It tends to get crowded (good indication, no?) especially on weekends and during the Pats'/NFL season, and is cash only which is a minor nuisance. There is an ATM (BOA) a couple doors down, though. Also, I suggest for take-out purposes on, say, a game day, call a few hours ahead of time. The place, as I mentioned, can get crazy busy and there have been a time or two where they simply were unable to accomodate my take-out requests because they were jamming so hard. Synopsis: Awesome wings, casual environment, people friendly...it's the best wing place that I have ever been to. Do yourself a favor and hit it up this week! read more

Best wings, hands down. Service is great, even when they are slammed. Doesn't hurt that it's a 3 minute walk from my house either. My roommate and I visit here weekly and have yet to be disappointed. read more

We have found our wing place. I'd say 2015 has been a success so far.

yummy. its only 830 and i am craving there honey hot wings just thinking about them. i haven't even had my coffee yet. wicked good wings. i had their hot buffalo and their hot honey. they are perfectly crispy. this is where they stand out to me. usually wings that you get a smooshy and gooey. these aren't. wow i wonder if i can call in an order some for lunch. yummy. they also had pretty good drinks but of course they did with a full bar. i will def go there soon, maybe even today! read more

HONEY HOT WINGS. That's all that really had to be said. So amazing. Service is always friendly, fast and on spot. Also the fried pickles are delicious! Love coming here with friends and chatting and devouring wings. Also really like that it's never CRAZY loud and you can hear conversation! Big plus!!! read more

Am I missing something here? These were the worst wings I have ever had. If you enjoy overcooked wings with hardly any sauce on them this is the place for you. I won't be back...they were that bad! read more

I love Buff's! The honey hot wings are my favorite! They also have great steak and turkey tips (which you can have over salad) and the Buff Burger is always another good option here. I've been going there for years. Buff's was smoke free before smoke free was mandated which I always appreciated - since it is a small place. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Buff's Pub is a bit unassuming. The wings are good, but, I am not sure if I'd call them the best. The menu has enough on it that it should please anyone. The night I went the steak tips and chicken flatbread had me full and happy when I left. I feel like the Phantom Gourmet would really like Buff's because it serves big relatively cheap plates to guest drinking beer out of the bottle. Definitely an American pub and definitely good. read more

Love the onion soup the wings were just ok. and I know wings. Good atmosphere to watch the Pats.

Famous for their wings, staff and cold beers at happy hour, but don't miss the great music selection and vibe on the weekends!

I love divey places and I like bar food. The wings, which is the reason I went, were good, but nothing special. All the hype made them sound like they were to die for. But we did have a very friendly server. read more

Best wings in boston? I have had just as good just about anywhere. Had worse for sure, but for the praise I've heard from the news/tv/yelpers I thought these wings would be pretty damn good. And they weren't bad, but I ordered them "extra spicy" and they were pretty damn mild. Also my onion rings tasted fishy. I liked the atmosphere, people just wanting to sit down, have some wings and watch the game, compared to most mega sports bars (in comparison anyways) this place has a much more casual family/friend feel. Service was good as well. Probably not going to go back unless I happen to be in the area. Felt like a pain in the ass to get there too, probably because it's close to that effed up rotary. read more

Always a lively crowd with saucy fingers. Expect these three things: Cold beer, amazing wings, TVs with "The Game" on. Can't go wrong.

Generally a cash only establishments will have slightly lower prices. I found this place to be a bit overpriced for a product slightly better than an Applebees. Being from western NY ,I did not find the wings anything special. Not bad just not I must come back good. The rest of the menu is pretty basic . It can get crowded and the on street parking is a challenge. I am always looking for a bar that carries a decent European Lager on tap(besides Stella),unfortunately this place like many others in the area sticks to the standard local IPA fare with the expected Bud or Bud light. My biggest plus would be the service was efficient and polite. read more

Best wings par none!! Try the honey hot they are amazing !!

Simply put this is the best place to grab wings. Whether you are local or are coming from out of town this place is a must. The only downside is it's cash only. Despite that little inconvenience this best place you can go for beer and wings read more

Oh man did this place give me the sour jeebees or what . I had a pick up order of two items 8.99 each I was informed this sour place doesn't take cards and cash only . I went to atm took out a 20 but it came out to 20.34 because this sour place charges .60 cents extra per take out order. So I had to go looking for atm again because I was unaware of their mozoltoff rules. However I'm pretty sure if I was to eat there them hiring someone to pick up my plate, throw out the remains , wash it and dry it would cost more then .60 cents . It's not the 60 cents it's the principle. The tenders were a joke compared to their wings and in the end the whole thing was one big lemon sour experiment . read more

My family and I consider ourselves traditional wing connoisseurs and we agreed unanimously that these were in the top 2 best wings we've ever had. Looking forward to going back to try the garlic sriracha soon. read more

Grew up right down the street and Buffs Pub is known for their amazing wings!! People come from all over to try them and to return back bc of them. I've seen professional athletes and actors make appearances and by the looks of the place (hole in the wall) you know that's the only reason they would be coming, because of the food! The place is tiny and drafty but the food, not just the wings is ACES all around!! read more

Best wings I've ever had in my life. The fries are amazing and have a fresh taste unlike most places who's fries are soggy with a greasy after taste. The service is amazing and the food comes out so quickly. This is not one of those over rated local restaurants that people hype up. It really is just as good as everyone says. I'm fortunate enough to live around the corner from this amazing establishment. If you're into bar food and live in the area. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. GO TO BUFF'S!!!!!! read more

My wife and I live about 90 minutes from this place in western mass,we had 20 medium wings and a few beers and drinks...we will back, soon.

Was looking for a wing solution at 9pm around Newton. Unfortunately this wasnt a life saver. I would rather wait till the next day and get my usual fix. Rather than revisit this one. Frozen... read more

I've been going to Buff's for 30 years and just thought it was a horrible experience today. It took forever to get waited on. Our wings came after our burgers and they were not the same wings of days gone by. They were nasty hunks of chicken and seemed undercooked. My burger was horrible also. I had to ask the waitress for my bill. So sad to have this experience today read more

I had just eaten a buffs pub the food was great the had that classic pub feel with the TVs and the jukebox but I would not recommend if you do not like poor service and completely oblivious employees. Great place for takeout. read more

The food is mediocre at best and the waitress was terrible. Asked for potato chips got salsa chips. Had to ask for utensils. She never came by to ask if I wanted another beer. Avoid this place in less you just want to drink beer. read more

Great wings, solid bar food and actually some decent salads. if you're in the neighborhood, put this in the rotation.

Some of the best wings in Boston. Anyone who went to Umass Amherst will attest to that fact that nothing compares to The Hangar, but these come a close second. Would probably come in more often if it weren't so tiny and always packed. Also not a fan of the whole cash-only thing, it's 2012 people! Still would highly recommend anyone to try their wings. Can't vouch for any other food here....because the wings are too good to pass up. read more

Best wings anywhere - but what happend to the wondeful jucy fried pickle spears?? The new fried pickle chips are nothing more than a shriveld pickle slice and a mouthful of batter (salty batter at that). I understand that there is a worldwide pickle shortage and using one pickle sliced up is more socially responsible than using two pickles sliced into spears ... but the pickle "chips" suck. We ordered two orders every time we came in (which is often) but now we will order zero orders. Resurrect the fried picke squares or face the pickle god's wrath... please... read more

Great place to catch a game, beer and wings. Hot buffalo sauce not as spicy as other places. Honey hot is awesome. I still prefer Wings Over Brookline because of the taste and variety of sauces, but one can't get beer there. read more

Really good but not as life changing as anticipated after the reviews. Not much to say. It's a guys lunch spot. The place was jammed when we went today. Every table filled. 3 chicks in the place. 2 worked there. read more

Pretty tasty spot with wings and pub fare. Great if you're craving a beer and wings. Wings were pretty flavorful. Not the best I've ever had -- I prefer my wings with a bit more sauce (though you can probably ask for additional extra) and fries weren't as crisp as I prefer. Parking is pretty easy. read more

CASH ONLY!!! The wings here are good, but they aren't my favorite. They only have a couple of flavors: buffalo, honey hot, and maybe two more flavors. The wings aren't really spicy at all which is partly why I was disappointed, and I also wished that they would have had more flavors like ranch, Parmesan, and spicy garlic. Buff's is the typical bar in the Boston area. It's extremely small so expect to wait in line. For $8.95 you get 10 wings and a side of fries it seems like a good deal. Service can be slow from time to time since there's usually only one person working the tables and the place is full. Parking is a huge pain. There is a large garage around the corner a couple of blocks away, but I'm not sure if it's open to the public. read more

nope. no way. Yelp has let me down. I've had better wings for 10 cents at john brewer's (which doesn't say much).
