The kids French toast is my favorite!! Great portion and delicious. They also have yummy burgers and the fried pies are delicious.

This place offers a spelended environment to enjoy your food, especially after a long day at Palo Duro. The food did take a bit, but it was expected as it was pretty packed. I was very surprised at the change in this place. In a bad way. I hadn't been to Buffs in a long time. They've remodeled and it's like a weird fast food bar. There is absolutely no service, you do everything yourself. The staff are so busy talking behind the bar there was no awareness of my presence when I walk by to get my order at the window. No greeting, no enjoy your meal, just a tray on a counter. I had a western burger and fried pickles. The pickles were fried to perfection and EXTREMELY salty. Too salty. Very disappointed. Only reason I went was for the pickles. The burger was well made but dry. The bun was really sweet but maybe that's just because of the pickles? This has become a introverts delight. No contact offered and minimal contact required to order. For me, the new Buffs is a flop. read more

The food is great. The prices are very fair for the amount of their portions. The breakfast burrito is huge.

Excellent breakfast. I had one of the burritos with green chili on top. Wonderful flavor and very filling. My husband had a big breakfast with eggs and pancakes. He said they were better than the famous pancake house chain. The atmosphere is unique, a little "industrial ", but the friendliness of the staff makes it welcoming. I was having a hard day and I walked into Buff's for the first but not the last time. A sweet young lady took my order and asked me how I was. I told her the truth and she was so kind she ended up brightening my whole day. The food was good, service-good. I was surprised the restaurant was so much bigger than it looks on the outside. Visiting Palo Duro Canyon and looked up breakfast spots. We had the breakfast burritos and my husband had a biscuit on the side. The burritos are huge, and so delicious. The tortillas are good, the bacon was cooked perfectly, and the burrito was seasoned well. My husband really enjoyed his biscuit, it looked light, buttery, and fluffy. And they made it so easy with call ahead ordering and the drive up window. We will def be back any time we visit Canyon! read more

Buff's - American Near Me - Canyon, Texas

I have posted before and I have given Buffs multiple tries. The reason why is that the food is good and the concept is also good. The issue is the employees. Every time I take the one star review down I have a horrible experience with a employee right before I post the updated positive review. This is the reason for the one star. Reason number 1. While awaiting for the second person in my party I witnessed a young man cleaning the bathroom toilet walk out of the bathroom when a order up was called. He did not remove the gloves that he was cleaning with and picked up a tray with human fecal matter to take to the dinning room. A employee did stop him what I assume would be a manager and instructed him to remove the gloves. So he removed the gloves did not wash his hands did not replace the order and walked it to the table and served it. Reason number 2. They offer a student discount. No where does it say anywhere that the discount is only WT. They refuse Amarillo College students this offer. Reason number 3. My order has been missing add on items multiple times even tho my order was verbally repeated and confirmed. The window staff does not verify orders even though they accept tips. Reason number 4. This young female child working the the drive though comes to the window with no mask on. She does put the mask on before she opens the window. This child does not realize that the mirror effect of the drive though does not work during the dark hours and a customer can see right though. It argued with me when I stated I no longer want my order since she was possibly breathing COVID on my food in the middle of a pandemic. It was very defensive and I assured the unfortunate child that I was not blind...... If I was blind I would not be driving a vehicle to reach this window for my food. It then changed its stance on the situation and stated that since she was "front of the house" she did not have to wear a mask as she does not touch food. I have news for this child.... If you touch the container that holds the food you have contaminated it! Eventually the manager came and literally had to tell this child to go away! This employee had wonderful customer service and offered the meal to be re done and offered it free. I refused the offer as my health is more important than $12. Unfortunately this child just reinforced what I have witnessed previously is that they do hire some dirty people and they can not be trusted. Not all but enough that you could become very ill by eating here. read more

That was the BEST Veggie omelet I've ever had! It made the trip from Dallas worth the long drive. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the staff was Uber friendly. Had a great breakfast here. I ordered the standard two egg plate with sausage and a brisket and my wife ordered the new item, avocado egg plate. Plenty of food and all home made! Hash browns crispy and great and the baskets are large and probably made in house. They were very busy and the service was great but the food took sometime to come out. We where not in a hurry. We ate here for breakfast/brunch when we visited Palo Duro Canyon early Oct 2020. We ordered the breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, and chicken and waffles- all amazing and so fresh. Weekend getaway at Palo Duro Canyon and someone suggested to check out Buffs for breakfast. This place did not disappoint! I had the French toast breakfast. Definitely the best French toast I've ever had. I've already recommend it to my family for the next time we are headed through canyon, its a must stop.
