The long version: This is a nice little restaurant serving up traditional (Americanized) Chinese cuisine. It has all the dishes you'd expect, like sweet and sour chicken, General Tso's, chow mein, etc. A choice of egg flour or hot and sour soup. Every time we've come here, the food is served hot and is flavorful with great ingredients. It's a step above the quality level of many Chinese restaurants in the area. Quality ingredients make all the difference. The service is always great, even when they're busy. They always seem to have plenty of doordash folks there too. It is clearly a popular place. The dining area is always neat and clean, and the atmosphere is pretty typical for this type of restaurant. It's a fantastic place to take the family. They can handle large groups there as well. Overall, this is an amazing place to go. One of our family favorites.

I ordered the Kung pow chicken with rice and I had to choose between a drink or egg flour soup. They bake flowers. Soup was actually pretty good so I made the right choice there. I drink my water and was not offered a refill until I was almost finished with my dinner. The Kung pow chicken tasted weird. It had a vinegar kind of bite to it. I know it wasn't vinegar, but it did not taste good like Kung pow. The rice I had was a bit dry and kept falling off my fork. The server was not present 90% of my visit and only asked me one time if I needed a refill of water. The place was actually dirty. Especially the bathroom, which was ridiculous. I won't be back.

The food was also not well seasoned like 100s of past visits. My wife and I have been dining here since we bought our home in Seaside in 2015 and have always enjoyed New Garden Asian Cuisine's large portions of fresh food and fast service from Candy and her attentive staff. I have not seen Candy here in the last 3 months during 5-6 visits and I can easily attest that the food quality and service is "off" and we strongly suspect that this restaurant has changed ownership. Current staff claims Candy is on a "vacation" in New York? Consider us extremely disappointed! After our latest meal at what was once our favorite restaurant in Seaside, I will think twice about dining here again as our food was very bland and service was not attentive like it always was when Candy was running it.

I am a waitress in a restaurant, and I just want to say a few words because the weather in Oregon has changed, and it will directly cause the floor of the restaurant to be slippery. For the sake of safety, we will warmly write wet floor on the notice board in the conspicuous place of the restaurant and then A lot of carpets will be laid on the tiles. Of course, the visual impact of the restaurant will be unsightly, but we must pay attention to the importance of safety. The heat of the food in the restaurant is strictly required. We try our best to do our best no matter when we come to the restaurant at any time. To meet your requirements, you can bring it up at any time, and we are willing to solve it together. I had the (T1) the basic teriyaki with rice and salad. First the salad is your basic iceberg with a few carrots bits. It was very large and crisp. The dressing was nice and creamy with a sweet and sour tang to it. It's a nice foil to the teriyaki. The chicken was plentiful and more than I can eat in one setting. Good flavor, no fat, a bit of char to round it out. The sauce is a med thickness and not overly sweet. The only fault I can find is I would have liked a bit more rice. If I had another scoop or each scoop was larger it would easily make two meals for me with the chicken. As a nice bonus if you dine in there is free miso soup to enjoy.

Also don't come in here expecting a typical welcome greeting/thank you either. It was a very off-putting, unpleasant experience. Food: 3/5 tasty, but small portions. I go to a lot of teriyaki lunch spots and will say that when you order a yakisoba plate, you expect all yakisoba noodles as the starch, not half yakisoba, half rice......that was strange to me but I think it's a way for them to cut costs and provide less noodles. Ambiance: meh, not too clean inside. They do give you free miso soup if you decide to dine in. Overall, in my opinion, the unpleasant cashier lady's attitude and the small portion size doesn't make me want to come back.
