Let me start by saying we had the most fantastic waitress! A friend was celebrating his birthday here so we had a large party of 12 people. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She got all our orders and requests right and did it all with a smile on her face. She also gave our friend a complimentary chocolate cake slice for his birthday. I started with a mojito which was very refreshing. Their fried pickles were pretty good. The sauces that came with the chips were delicious (queso, salsa, and guacamole). I loved their potato wedges. On Thursdays they have a really good deal where if you buy one boneless wing you get another free. I ordered 10 wings and got 20! For 20 wings you can pick up to 4 sauces. I chose their hottest sauce, Blazin Knockout, and a lower heat one, Jammin Jalapeno. I can eat super spicy and the Blazin Knockout was definitely super spicy! Also a bit on the salty side. I enjoyed their Jammin Jalapeno sauce.

Called ahead of time to reserve a table for about 10 people. Wound up waiting an hour regardless. I got the chicken sandwich which was ok. Their fried pickles were very good.

Chandler service. 5 stars. Great host. Satisfying food! Good hang! Honestly had one of the best servers in the restaurant.

Had the most amazing time at this BWW. Devin and Bella were so incredible and made us feel at home. Definitely recommend coming here!

Small portions which are overpriced and aren't very good. Service was very slow and inattentive. Won't be back.

LOVE their fried cheese curds! Service is always great but I usually get pick up. Love that they have a separate entrance for pick up.

Just wanted to write this review to say a BIG THANK YOU to Draft Republic in SM for having a…read morespeakeasy pop-up for the movie, Wicked. I'm a huge Wicked fan and was excited to see this event advertised on Yelp. This restaurant was the only one in North County I can think of that acknowledged the movie when it was about to be in theaters. First of all, it was easy to get to based on my GPS but kind of challenging to find their parking lot. I ended up finding a 2-hour parking on N. City Drive which was in walking distance. All I was thinking of while walking up to Draft Republic is that this place is massive. Inside, the hostesses verbally instructed me where to go...came across bowling...arcade games...sports on tvs on my way. Behind the curtains, I entered the room in awe. Draft Republic really went ALL OUT!! The Wicked witchy vibe was sooo magical. I loved the beautifuuul Elphaba/Glinda decorations, cleverly creative themed menu option names, actual movie playing in the background, and the take-home momentos. Nick and staff were super wickedly friendly too. The Wicked Bites, Grimmerie Shots and Wickedest Cocktails were all FANTASTIC!!! I definitely tasted Draft Republic's wickedness. I appreciated everything about this experience....well well done. What a WICKED TIME! I hope there are more speakeasy pop-ups in the near future :-)

I want to start by saying that for whatever my opinion matters (and it should matter very little),…read morethis is just how I came away feeling about this place. Because Draft Republic is a rough place to quantify. The food is pretty good; if going off that alone, this place would easily be four stars in my eyes. But, it's not ... Draft Republic is trying to be a bit closer to like a mini Dave & Buster's (a place I have come pretty close to loathing). With an arcade, a bowling alley, a golfing simulator, a full bar, pretty extensive menu, good music, and a fantastic staff, they really have a lot going for them with a little something to make anyone happy. My own issue deals solely with the cost. Came here with my son, all we did was eat two entrees and an appetizer between us, and did nothing else. With drink and after tax and tip, the cost was well over $90. No games, no play, just burgers (plus fries and poke tacos) for two, costs as much as many Californian's net after a full day of work. When you're used to feeding the whole family for about half as much when going out (or a little more when eating sushi), that price was a bit rough. Still, the food is very good. My son and I each ate The Draft Republic Burger. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, very flavorful, and the toppings were high quality. The fries were crisp and salted well. And the side salad wasn't too bad. Both of us ate our entrees and gave it high marks. We had started with the Tres Poke Tacos, where the Tuna was very tasty, steeped in a flavorful marinade, and felt nice and fresh. Definitely a good starter. And the restaurant itself is gorgeous. A lot of space, beautifully furnished, kind of industrial meets art deco with some new age greenery architecture thrown in. I like it a lot. But, as an aging Gen-X'er, who used to go to arcades back in the day, and hates what new arcades have become, the amenities are under appreciated by me. All of that pads the price tag a bit out of what I am willing to pay just for dinner. Which may not be fair to Draft Republic, but that's where it left me.

It appears to be a bit rundown and tacky but once inside I felt I was immediately transported to a local pub on the East Coast. There was memorabilia from the owners back in Boston I believe maybe it was Chicago. Please forgive me. But that part was really cool and the kids and myself both really enjoyed looking around at all of it. It was something those chains like Ruby, Tuesdays, or Applebee's worth trying to emulate with their stock newspaper wallpaper plastered to the walls. This place had pendants trophies, lots of trophies and other cool memorabilia not often see! at bars in SoCal. The bartender can make a break this experience and the one that we had was super nice and have that Goldilocks level attentiveness zone level of attentiveness. I just brought two children into this place and at first I was ready to walk out saying that it was a proper pump, but she encouraged me to come on in and that it was a family, friendly establishment and that they even had some games that we could play.. This place has character and charm, the wings were crispy and everything else homemade quality (we ordered a Caesar salad and one of their many options for their "world famous" potato skins). Friday's wishes their potato skins were this tasty... and they were good, you could tell someone made them with love. The salad was fresh and optimally, dressed with what tasted like authentic Caesar dressing and there wasn't a ton of Romain butts left in the mix (which I appreciated), I'm finally my son's first ever checking. The experience was a success because the chicken was cooked perfectly crispy and the server was super nice to allow us to sample each sauce on the side. Honestly, the atmosphere, food, and, service were giving Cheers...

Pros: This spot is a good place to hang out if you're looking for a casual bar with activities like billiards and darts. The vibe is fun without being overly packed, which made it easy to enjoy the space. They have darts (which are free, you just leave your ID), a pool table, and a music queue system where you can pick songs to play, which adds an interactive element to the night. I didn't try the food but the drinks were solid and did not disappoint. The overall energy of the place was welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. It's one of those spots where you can relax, hang out, and have a good time. Cons: Parking here is probably the biggest downside. The lot is really small and gets packed quickly, so I wouldn't recommend relying on it. We parked nearby after eating at Copper Kings Burgers and just walked over, which ended up being way easier. Verdict: If you're looking for a fun, chill bar in San Marcos with games, music, and good drinks, this is a great spot to check out. Just plan ahead for parking, but overall it's definitely worth it and I would come back again!

But I can't tell if most people were just in the bar area - we were able to get a booth! The place was nice and loud since every one was having a good time. Several parties of 3+ and I saw 1 party of 6. They were doing an explorer menu from Yucatan. Interesting thing to do during Black History Month - I won't lie. I was surprised to see it. But we ordered from that menu. We ordered the fried plantain that came with a sauce and cilantro, sausage and pepper soup, and the BBQ pork. I enjoyed everything except for the plantain. They were basically a huge disc that was slightly crunchy. I was not expecting that since if I want a crunchy plantain, I will eat actual plantain chips. The soup was fantastic! It was a bit spicy but not overwhelming and full of flavor. Wish I ordered a bowl instead of a cup. And last but not least, the BBQ pork was very good. Served on lettuce as well, so if you are doing keto you can omit eating the tortillas that came with the dish. It also had pickled red onions and a salsa. The salsa was mild and with everything in the taco, flavors were balanced. We also ordered 6 Cajun wings. But today, they didn't seem as flavorful, a pity really. A grilled cheese was ordered but with hamburger meat inside. That seemed good and it came with fries. Washed all of this down with a sour that was called Boozy Berry & my fiancé had a West Coast beer. Food was enjoyable, atmosphere was fun. We will be back again.

This place is great!…read more Wife and I came out on a date night to this local spot we've been trying to come to for months. It was on a Friday night, the place was packed, and difficult to find a spot to park. The line to order was almost out the door, but still fast to get through, and we were quick to choose what we wanted before struggling to find a spot to sit and talk. After about 15 minutes, our order was ready and we got to enjoy our food. We started with the Carne Asada Nachos, Refried Beans on the side. The meat was flavorful, very tender, and plentiful atop a pile of crisp and fresh tortilla chips. The cheese was nice and salty and the sour cream was warm to the point where it drizzled over it all nicely. All in all, it was a very tasty start to the night. The only two issues I had with it were that the guac was a bit overly pureed, making it kind of runny. And the refried beans had a very sour flavor, making me think that they were over the edge of going spoiled. I had to thank my wife's aversion to eating beans, helping us avoid having them spooned on top, which would have ruined this course. I also had an Al Pastor Taco, Craft Coast Style. The whole it was crisped up well, the cheese forming a great crust on the inside of the taco. The meat was sweetly marinaded, flavorful and delicious. On top of it was a good amount of beans, onions, cilantro, and guacamole, making for a good sized taco without any overflowing. It was pretty damn tasty. So, our first trip out here had more highs than lows, resulting in a very positive initial dinner. I'm sure those beans were just a one-off, at least I hope they were. And there's still hope that the guac may have had too much lime or had been overly mixed this time around. A second trip is definitely in the cards, with more of the family to expand what comes to the table.

I can proudly say I have tried quite a few things on the menu already and have not been disappointed. I'd say at this point my brother and I have been here over 5 times. We even brought our parents here twice already. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. My brother and I have done breakfast, lunch and dinner at this point. The first item I tried was the Sun-Dried Tomato Rigatoni. This was so creamy and delicious (later found out you cam add another meat). Which my mom tried her first time around with Salmon. She said it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. From that first pasta, I tried the March Month Special, I got the chopped cheese with no cheese (lactose intolerant) but man did I devour it so fast!! There tater tots never miss btw ALWAYS crispy. The Grilled Chicken Sando, mannn was thay superr good too. Chicken was juicy and always love me some avocado. I told my brother I am going to make it a priority to try everything I cam here. Also, the presentation on the plates ESPECIALLY the Fresno 1/2 Chicken *chefs kiss* The service is NEVER misses. Soo attentive no matter the time of day. Tony's drinks are UH-MAY-ZING. We had Mckellen as our server and he was great. The biggest shoutout to James (the owner) seems like he knows how to create a phenomenal work environment and keeps his people happy. We've seen him walk around often and checking in. You can definitely see thay he cares. I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you have the chance. Also, try the Espresso Martini my brother who is far from a coffee drinker even loves it!!
