I like BWW online portal. I order in whenever I want, easy on my finger tips. And every time thats like always they screw up my order. AND this time its was super insane as it sounds- I ordered in at 820 and pick up time was not until 930 I was like it's ok! but when I went in at 915 pm to pay and get my food. The lady said we didn't pay attention to the online orders and now we ran out of wings. I was so so furious. With everything going around I risked my life and went in for for a to-go order. This particular BWW location in particular I think is a problem. They have some weird people running a shit show. I love BWW food. Like finger licking love, but since last four years I am in CR, this place always makes my experience terrible. I don't know about anyone else but personally, I think the food is okay. Yes the service can take forever, but that's cause they're always packed, and it's not the servers fault 9 times out of 10. Ok, I've got to chime in here due to the low ratings people have been giving here. Our experience last 'date night' was much better than advertised. We went to BWW because we wanted to dine while watching Caitlin and the Hawkeyes. We thought there would be a lot of people doing the same but that wasn't the case. Only about 4 tables filled at game time. So that was suprising. We ordered the $3 special of chips and salsa and the Blue Long Island Tea drink for only $4. Both were part of the happy hour specials. The chips came in a large tray and were very good. Salsa also good. The drink was great value and taste for the price. The chips were especially good and we took half of them home. They stayed fresh and crispy for 3 days! We ordered the 6 piece chicken strips with fries and the dinner salad. Dinner salad was a good value for $5. And the chicken strips cooked perfectly and we always love shoestring fries. Total bill for appetizer, salad, drink and entree..$26. Our waiter was obviously new but easily overlooked. Overall a surprisingly good experience and value. And the Hawkeyes rolled. Great night. BWW goes on our monthly rotation for date night until they disappoint. Terrible service. Got order wrong. Overcharged me. Waited forever to get waited on and longer to settle up. One bright spot. A girl that wasnt our server jumped in and helped us get our bills. She was great employee. Said she worked at a Chicago BWW before. Our server had no clue how to ring up orders. She messed up table of 6 guys bills sitting to our left. Gosh, I love BWW food. But this location just can't figure it out. We live closest to this location so order take-out frequently. It's always, always a huge fail. I'll just start tracking each experience on here. Today, went to pick up the food that was told it would be ready at 4:10pm. It was 90% inaccurate - wrong sides (chips and salsa ordered but received cold, soggy fries), wrong sauces (or better yet - no sauce on the wraps), poorly assembled wraps, lots of missing items that (ranches and bleu cheese we paid $.60 each for). The one side of ranch they included was 1/4 full which was maybe the weirdest part of it all. Finally left there at 4:40. Got to come home and enjoy my nice, cold food! Why is this so hard for them? We wait a month or two between visits to try to let them figure it out and I guess we only have ourselves to blame for continuing to waste money there. read more

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, I had already been using this location for wings. I had my own level of issues with the location specifically, which include incompetent packaging for takeout and the overall garbage policy for their BOGO as only dine in. Right now, for this pandemic time, they may have added delivery, but they ended any phone orders. That's absolutely ridiculous. They only allow online orders with a completely worthless system. Good service and food served the way it should be is hard to come by. If you are craving bww I would recommend going to the other location. 30 minute wait for queso which is coming from a hot pot. Take out is ALWAYS messed up, so double check everything if you go this route. Disappointing because their food, when served right, is great. read more

Do not order from this scuzzy methhole. Ordered delivery and tipped 9.00. They changed it to carry out and refused, absolutely refused to deliver it ...and would not CANCEL it. They hung up twice when I asked. Finally I got a woman who claimed to be a manager, when she was really a bartender (her words not mine) but she tried to chide me for "not tipping." She lied. I tipped 9.00 on a 30.00 order and it wasn't good enough for them. They will not refund the tip, or the order. Go to a place where they at least have teeth and a brain...and the willingness to not steal from you. Reported as fraud to my credit card company. I don't even want to give this a 1 star rating. We called ahead to see if they did reservations. They already had a line out of the door 30 minutes before open (Hawkeyes were in NCAA, game started at 11:15AM). We arrived approximately around 11:30AM, and we sat at a long bar table on the backside. The place was relatively busy--the same number of people as any weekend night. Our waitress came about 10 minutes later, we ordered drinks. Drinks came back in about 10 minutes. Then we ordered food. We waited an hour and a half--still no food. We get ahold of our waitress, and she tells us that they haven't even put our order in yet, and she did not know when they would. We wait another half hour--so now 2 hours since we ordered food, and still nothing. Looking around, only a few other tables have their food. We got up & left. 2 hours waiting for food and our orders were not even in yet. If there is a big game on like this, why would you not prepare earlier? Why not staff more people? It has never taken this long at any other location with the same amount of customers. Horrible, horrible place. Do not go there unless you want to waste half of your day and leave hungry and pissed off. read more

Not a horrendous experience, but certainly not a great one. Was just down-the-middle. Wouldn't really go out of my way to come back again, but if push came to shove and someone really wanted BWW, I would come back. The service wasn't fantastic. We requested a booth and were told there'd be a 20 minute wait on a booth. I saw multiple booths completely empty but with dirty tables - at other restaurants, servers will quickly wipe down a dirty table to seat us in a booth. However, we decided to avoid the wait and just sit at a table. Once seated, it was then over 15 minutes before a server came over to acknowledge us and take orders. Once the server had noticed us, however, the service from that waitress was pretty good. We had regularly-refilled drinks. However, as soon as we were seated, we asked for the TV to be changed to watch one of the games. The server was really friendly about it and said she'd have their TV guy talk to us (apparently there's an entire guy who's job is changing the TV?). We didn't actually hear from the TV guy until we'd been given the check and were ready to pay, so we didn't get to see the game we wanted to watch at all. Food itself was okay. Nothing special. Breading on the boneless wings was a bit tough, but the Potato Wedges were good. A couple things were wrong about the food (missing sour cream, etc.) which was frustrating. Buffalo wild wings is one of those places that's great when you're younger as it's a small step up from total fast food and requires you be seated prior to ordring, but that's where the fun ends! They've got decent wings, but stray from wings and fried goods and the train derails pretty quickly. Best comment from BWW remains when we asked if the chicken on my salad was grilled, the response was "Well technically yes, but it's heated in a microwave." Sweet. At this location, the grilled chicken strips were attempted to be made authentic with a good burn from a hot grill, but came more charred than anything else. That said, the crispy strips were good and the onion rings solid. Good number of TVs with plenty to watch and even trivia going. Lots of bar seating too. Good beer selection and they fry things here well. If you want cheapish wings w/ sauce choices for everyone or a bucket of fried goods w/ a pitcher of PBR for a game, this is your spot. It's BBW they have chicken in every possible way you can think of with bones without bones spiced not the thing I like about this place you can customize the way you want your dinner in just about any way possible. They have lots of televisions so if there's any sporting events going on this is the place to be it gets crowded when there's lots of sports. read more

My family and I were just at the bufflo wild wings in sw CR, ia. The service was the worst we have ever had, we have have had poor service in the past and complained to MARK THE MANAGER IN THE PAST HOWEVER NOTHING HAS CHANGED. We had to ask to order,napkins and drink refills. Half of our order came out and when they brought the second 1/2 the 1st hlaf was cold, the second half was wrong. We had order to go and had to inquire about it to a different server. When my husband complained to Mark the manager the manger basically made excuses and told my husband he was wrong. If I could give less than one star I would! I have never had good service at this location. Wait staff is neglectful to say the least. I have tried revisiting as I understand that staff can be new and therefore not always on point but each time I'm disappointed. I even had a visit when I never saw any wait staff and had to order from the bar just to get my food. Like many of the other reviews on here point out, the service is always bad here. I also find that my food comes out at room temperature- it doesn't matter if I'm the only one there or if the place is packed. They also charge way too much for beer and hit you with surcharges wherever possible with no warning from the wait staff. It's far too expensive given the quality of the food. I'm not really a 1 star giver but damnit, I have never been so disappointed in a place in my life. I ordered BWW (Edgewood) once a week for about a year (keto). 90% of the time something was wrong. Once I received a small instead of a medium, a few other times I never got my soda, or I was missing sauce or given the wrong sauce. My tipping point was when half of my wings were missing and when I called, they said I could come get them. So I hopped back in my car and headed that way, only to find that rather than firing me up a whole new batch seeing as my other wings were at home rotting, I was handed a couple (now also very cold) wings. The other night I made an order using my phone and didn't realize that the app had defaulted back to Edgewood Rd.... I was a few minutes late to pick them up and that's when I realized that I was at the wrong location. I drove to the other side of town in 5pm traffic and when I got there, I proceeded to wait for ANOTHER 35 minutes! I finally had to grab a manger or supervisor and ask what the heck was up.... I cant eat at this location anymore. It's too expensive to get crappy service and missing wings. read more

This establishment has gone down hill a lot in the last 5 years. My group of 8 had to wait 2 hours for our wings and burgers.

I've been to this location on multiple occasions and it's definitely a see what you get type of place. Wings are solid with a nice selection and variety of sauces -- much better than some other nearby wing places in my opinion. Their limited time only sauces are some of the best. The blue moon is great as is Mandarin kick and a whiny bevy of others. Service is a little spotty from time to time. Some of the waiters are very "hands-off" and do as little as possible. On the other hand, coming late at night, I usually get Amanda and she rocks. Easily the best server at this location and one of my favorites in town. Awesome. Prices throw me off from time to time but I've more come to expect that than anything from a Buffalo Wild Wings location. As long as they don't serve me any fried chicken heads, I'll probably roll in from time to time. read more

Considering I'm allergic to most wing sauces and I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants it's safe to say it wasn't my choice. There was an Iowa game to watch and I was being nice. I've learned my lesson. The wings I had were not very good. The service was horrible. The entire place was sticky (fine, you're right, I didn't touch the "entire place", but I touched enough!). The TVs weren't that easily viewable from all the tables and all of them were having color issues. It was making my OCD twitchy. The best part about Buffalo Wild Wings was the boyscout selling popcorn outside. I got the mud puddles for my mom. They were delicious. Chocolate covered popcorn with nuts. Mmmmm. read more

Okay, so the items on the menu aren't any different than any other Buffalo Wild Wings in the country.. at least not that I could tell anyway. However, the staff here is wonderful. We had Lisa as a waitress and she didn't let us down. She was very friendly and attentive, and anticipated our needs. Loved her. We had the Spicy Garlic and the Asian something or other, both great! Guess what, if you're on a business trip in the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City area and on a Thursday night at 11:30, after working late and getting the big presentation to the printer, you're hungry and looking for food, you have very few options. In fact, by my count, you have one. This Buffalo Wild Wings. And if you're a vegetarian, you're in luck because in addition to the obvious endless supply of strangely small chicken wings, they have a veggie burger, or black bean burger - I don't remember. I just know that aside from fries, onion rings, and a side salad, it was the only thing on the menu not made from animals. The service was friendly and attentive. We sat on the patio and were trying to go over the next day's meeting. The patio music was crazy loud and after the place cleared out, we asked if they could turn the music down. No problem, she said. And it was done. BWW is still a mega chain with a mega chain philosophy of volume vs service and quality and therefore will likely never get more than three stars unless Buffalo Wild Wings saves my daughter from a flooding river or lifts a car off my wife. read more
