Guess what, if you're on a business trip in the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City area and on a Thursday night at 11:30, after working late and getting the big presentation to the printer, you're hungry and looking for food, you have very few options. In fact, by my count, you have one. This Buffalo Wild Wings. And if you're a vegetarian, you're in luck because in addition to the obvious endless supply of strangely small chicken wings, they have a veggie burger, or black bean burger - I don't remember. I just know that aside from fries, onion rings, and a side salad, it was the only thing on the menu not made from animals. The service was friendly and attentive. We sat on the patio and were trying to go over the next day's meeting. The patio music was crazy loud and after the place cleared out, we asked if they could turn the music down. No problem, she said. And it was done. BWW is still a mega chain with a mega chain philosophy of volume vs service and quality and therefore will likely never get more than three stars unless Buffalo Wild Wings saves my daughter from a flooding river or lifts a car off my wife. read more

Its Bdubs, It's like hooters but more guys serving and a few more things on the menu which makes it just a little better then hooters. They do have some good sauce's and the jerk is my favorite here. The burgers are better then at Red Robins. (not saying much) but the food comes out fast and is pretty good. Cheap wings on Tuesdays and Thursdays I think? I can totally see why this place averages 2 Stars. I was literally the only customer at 11AM today. Arrived at that time as it was given to me on the App when I ordered. I was ignored for about 5 minutes or so as the staff chatted and messed around on their phones. When helped, the server barely spoke even when I initiated a friendly hello. My food wasn't ready. So, I had to wait inside. 30 minutes later, the same incourteous server came out to a now gathering crowd to simply say "NOT UP YET. NOTHING IS UP" about 10 minutes later my order was given to me with zero apologies or even a have a nice day. Better attention, a little basic kindness, a commitment to on time service and creating a curbside pick up waiting area (with a text for when the order is really ready) would greatly improve the customer experience in the future, even during a pandemic. To say I was less than happy would be an understatement. I have never written a single review in my life, and made a Yelp account specifically for this. I called this location at 4:58 pm tonight and asked if they would be showing the Paul vs Askren fight. The employee on the phone stated "oh wow . I just put someone on hold asking the same question, let me go check." And a few moment later the server stated that they were showing that specific fight tonight. So, myself and 6 friends drove from Iowa City to this location to be able to watch the fight. Once we arrived, and we asked about the fight when we got to a table, and they told us that the fight would not be played. The manager, Amanda, came to the table, and informed us that they would not be showing the fight, and stated that nobody informed any customers over the phone that the fight would be playing there (despite myself and 2 other guests hearing the phone conversation). I told her that that did happen, and that i confirmed it was the right phone number. She said "sorry" and left. We decided to stay and eat since we already had a table and were hungry. We ordered our food, and one persons phone came out 15 minutes before everybody else's. We asked the server to speak to a manager after 3 other people's food was cold/ hard. We voiced our concerns to the manager , Amanda, and she responded "well I am only concerned about if the food is hot or not", to which the 3 people with cold food stated that their food was not hot (For the record, the rest of us got wings and they were GREAT). She stood there and didn't say anything and one my friends stated "is there anyway we could get a small discount due to us driving 40 minutes because of misinformation and most of us receiving food that we didn't eat due to it being cold/hard" and she stated "I don't know, I will see what I might do." And rolled her eyes. Once we received our bills, she gave a 20% discount to the people who ENJOYED their food and a 10% discount to the ones who didn't finish even half of their food. The server was clearly overwhelmed and just doing her best, and she was tipped accordingly. However, to Amanda: nobody is forcing you to work a job that you clearly hate. If you don't want to work there, don't. It's not the customers fault that you are miserable. Be more attentive to the mistakes you and your staff make. We all came in in a great mood, even after we found out the event we drove 40 minutes for wasn't playing. BUT, you and your horrible attitude and customer service makes it that now I am writing the review and will never ever be back to this location. We knew this place was going to be busy during the outback bowl, so we came afterwards. There is 20 people in the dinning area. The shift manager Damien came to our table and stated they have orders for 600 wings. It is New Years and you should staff for these thing. I saw a lot of wait staff standing around on there phones. Visited on Saturday night and was dead. They had four people working the door and one server for entire front and the one table in the patio. Poor server was definitely hustling to try and keep up while front four were goofing around. I could see up by the bar another server was just sitting at the bar. Service was slow due to under staffing not servers fault. Wings were just okay. They forgot to season my lemon pepper wings so 1/2 my wings were plain. I asked that our daughters kid meal be brought ASAP and that was done as requested. Restaurant was kinda dirty and dated looking. New menus seemed low bar and cheap. I do like that they serve wings on a tray now instead of paper boxes. They no longer give kids little crowns and that made our daughter sad. I called and had a very rude worker answer and told me it was the managers that do that portion of online, then she hung up on me. This location sucks and is slow as hell. Will never be going back. I have been to BWW all over the US and just moved close to this one 2 years ago. I have never had a timely meal there either pick up or in person. Every few months we try again and same results. Tonight ordered on line told to pickup a hour later. Got there waited over 30 while lobby was filling up with way to many others all waiting for carry out and Doordash guys. Got told 20 min in part of order did not get made right and they were working on remaking waited another 10 while more people piled in and told them I wanted to cancel. Was told I would have to wait 7-10 days to get refund as I had ordered on line. I would recommend you drive to the Blairsferry location or get Wingstop as these folks don't have a clue. read more

My only comment I have is that I used online ordering for an order to pick up the next day and it had to be at a certain time for a party, when I got there my order wasn't ready. Went downhill from there. 45 minutes from the time we placed our order until the first batch arrived at the table. It would take another 15 minutes for everyone to get their food. I went there for WPA last night. There were 7 of us in the group and we were also the first ones there of all the groups. We were told it would be 15-20 minute wait, we waited an hour to be sat. All of the groups that came in after us with the same number of people were sat way before us. Once we were sitting down, it took an hour before they asked us what drinks we wanted and our orders. Irish democrat has bigger wings than this place but not as good of sauce choice. Quick service on take out orders, but when sitting in, can wait for a while before the appetizers you ordered come out. The mozzarella sticks here though are fresher than the Blairs ferry location and they have a large screen projector for the bigger sport nights like MMA. Mostly adults here, not as many families or children like the Blairs ferry location, which can be nice when you don't want to hear crying when trying to enjoy your meal. I don't like spicy and I was in the mood for a burger. I ordered a burger with honey bbq. They sent out a burger with blazing sauce. Who would put blazing sauce on a burger? First let me say that when we first stepped in side the people at the front didn't even greet us with hello rather then just looked at us like can we help you... once we got seated I saw there were 8 tables that were dirty and nobody came to clean them for over 30 minutes. Finally after an hour and a half we got our food and my dad and I each got a small plate with a drink. (Not a big order) the food was alright but the only reason I would come here is to waste time.
