A few moments later , Caucasian man walks out , cashiers " bye , sir have a good day" . I was steps behind from the Caucasian man as I walked out & I didn't get the same amount of attention. I have to say. I have always loved this location and the people working are always nice and communicative! I have seen people get worked up about their items not being taken ALLL THE TIME! And the staff is always nice about it and handle the reactions in the best way they can. I have sold and exchanged many times here and there are times I get super lucky and they take alot and times when they dont take much! I have always had the same style so I know its based on stock and necessity! Just because you see something similar to what your selling being sold on the racks, doesn't mean they need to take your items friends... if anything, thats a sign that they might not need that item since they have similar in stock already! After calling, I inquired about selling some clothes and was told just to bring a government issued ID. When I arrived, I had a hard time parking because the Lab is very crowded and the parking lot is very small with mainly compact vehicle parking spaces. It took me 20 minutes to get a parking spot. Then I was able to finally wiggle through the maze of stores and find Buffalo Exchange. Upon arrival the store is very compact and crowded. There was a long line of people trying to sell clothes. The buyers were very frustrated and didn't have a good system of directing people in a line. Once I got to the front to be able to sell my large bag of designer clothes the East Asian girl (Didn't see a name tag) jumped in front of the buyer that was helping me. She then told me she would take over and would only buy one of my designer items. It felt like very weird energy because she accepted several items from customer in front of me. For context all of the items I bought were practically in new to good condition. She told me she wouldn't accept the rest because it was out of season but the flyer clearly says all seasons. Also, I heard her say they had so many items to sort through she didn't know how to process it all. I accepted the buy for one item and left shortly because of bias atmosphere. I will say this location had decent thrift items to buy. However, the manager and employees could improve their customer service and standards. As a seller, this was the worst selling experience I've ever had and I've been selling clothes to second hand stores for 10 years. When I arrived and joined the virtual queue I was told that there were 3 sellers ahead of me and was given an estimated wait time of 25min. I watched 5 sellers leave before I was helped and even watched a woman come in, scan the QR code to enter the virtual line, and even she was helped before I was....? I ended up waiting over an hour before anyone looked through my clothes, the whole process ended up taking 1hr 30min. None of the employees have any sense of urgency and while I was there I listened to them gossip about several customers. Then I received one of the lowest payouts for the amount of clothes they took. If you're a seller, please save yourself the trouble and time and go to Crossroads instead. read more

The service at this shop was extremely disappointing. I waited an hour for my clothes to be looked at after signing up on the virtual waitlist. Which I was #2 on and it said it should only take 8 minutes.... I was not acknowledged by employees until I was first on the waitlist and said virtually that I was there. Was never given any time estimated just had to sit and wait. They took none of my clothes which wouldn't be as bad if they had any indications at all of what they were looking for. No sign saying this is what is in season to buy nothing. Even when I spoke to the employee who was going to look for my clothes still not acknowledgement of styles till after. The employee stopped looking at clothes multiple times to talk to other employees aswell. I do not recommend selling here read more

A great thrift shop with tons of amazing finds. I never leave empty handed. As someone who has sold and bought clothes and shoes here. I couldn't recommend it enough. I love their shoe selection ranging from used dunks to almost new doc martens! Very reasonably priced and organized store. I recommend coming in the early morning during the week or you can expect lots of traffic and less parking later in the day or on weekends. This review is mostly regarding selling items: ~Be prepared to wait in line (likely outside). There is no check in procedure. It's walk up, wait in line. At least 30 minute plus wait times. I waited over an hour. ~Buyers vary drastically. While waiting in line (I was there over an hour) as sellers in line ahead of me were leaving they were telling us the male buyer wasn't buying anything. Very few items from people who had bags of nice items, in style, good brands. Shortly before I got to front of line the male buyer went on lunch break. The gal that took over while he was at lunch was lovely. Sweet, kind, friendly. She was selective and passed on items but also took many items from the two bins she had gotten through before returned back from break, 20 items to be exact. He selected only 1 piece in the remaining 2 bins he went through when he returned. And his customer service and overall attitude was not nearly as pleasant as the female buyer I had before. (Sorry I didn't get names) ~Would have rated lower but the first buyer I worked with was so kind and helpful. In addition, the manager was lovely and kind and let me first buy a t-shirt for my son (giving me the 50% value to buy it) before getting the rest of my cash at the 20%. And my son loved the concert tee! ~I immediately took the same 4 bins and went to Crossroads in Irvine where I had a much better experience. You check in with your phone number (no waiting in, was able to shop in the center, grab a coffee, get some work done in my car) and they text you when they're ready (you have 15 minutes to check in before losing your spot). They purchased 27 items (27 items Buffalo Exchange had just passed on) and they have a higher 30% payout compared to Buffalo Exchanges 20%. I've been back to Crossroads twice since with same, pleasant experience. read more

After calling to enquire about an appointment to sell, a recording told me you no longer need an appointment, only a government issued ID. My daughter wanted to sell her items, drove herself there and waited in line for nearly an hour. After being asked for her driver's license they said they would not take her because she is under 18. At no point does it say 18+ to sell, only physical government issued ID. I offered to meet her there, but was told would have to wait in line again. Absolute waste of time. read more

Hello Yelp, I visited this place a few days ago and wanted to give my opinion of it. After seeing some negative reviews, I was a bit discouraged, but still decided to give this place a chance. I thought they might have improved. First of all, I drove 20 minutes to get there, so I definitely had to go out of my way. I was one of the first people standing in line. The 2 people in front of me didn't have that many clothes to sell, so I thought the wait time would be short and quick. After waiting for what felt like an eternity, it was my time to sell. As I was in line, I noticed that the buyers were extremely chatty, which was part of the reason why it took so long. This was very unprofessional of them, as we customers have things to do at home and lives to get back to. The buyer I talked to seemed very polite and explained their buying policy. I asked her if I could step outside, but apparently, I had to stay in store? Okay, I guess, I will just look around. Upon initial impression, it definitely wasn't the type of store I would shop at. I awkwardly paced around as I waited for her to finish looking at my clothes. When I got there, she told me she couldn't buy any clothes?? Apparently, I had good style but it just wasn't the type of things they would buy? I was so confused. I had looked on their website and brought in things they said they loved. Yet they took nothing. I was deceived by the store and the customer service. I came in thinking they would buy a lot, yet left with the same heavy bag I came in with. I am sad to say that this place was a scam. After reading previous reviews I was skeptical to come here and try and sell my clothes. I decided to come anyways. I am moving out and trying to downsize my closet. I had a lot of clothes that I bought fairly recently (with tags), and stuff that simply didn't fit anymore, but was still in good quality. They accepted not one item. I was honestly baffled. Mixed reviews here! The first salesperson who greeted us was extremely rude. We had over 30 bags of high end, top brand clothes. Because we had over the amount, we booked two appointment which would allow them the proper amount of time needed to go through them. She told us we need to come back another time because we weren't allowed to have two appointment. They then proceeded to go through the clothes in a rude manner. The store is dirty and smelly and I highly do not recommend it due to the experience. The Manager was more friendly then the others. Consider donating to homeless for a better reward! The best re-sell experience I have ever had! The staff here is so friendly and helpful. They are well trained on popular brands and styles. They gave lots of tips and tricks on what items they always take and I ended up making pretty decent money for the items that had been sitting in my closet for months! Upon arrival they didn't take a look at any designer items and said they can't authenticate them, that they have no way of doing so. So I've been on the thrift shopping spree lately and after going to many stores, I've gotten to buffalo. Nice store with a decent amount to always browse through. As now I've learned I can take some clothes and hope to sell there as well. The only downside is part for me is when I've brought my belongings, they gave me the rundown on the rules and I accepted. Though each time I've went they just told me none of my stuff is what they are looking for. Now the stuff I have brought has been close to new. Nothing was out of bounds from there rules or what they were looking for. I keep getting bummed when they can't seem to find anything. I've scored a few finds myself but can never get on letting my stuff be taken. So just keep in mind, they seem pretty strict on what they are looking for. I wasn't a fan of thrift shopping until I came to Buffalo Exchange! First off, you get this really neat $5 off coupon when you spend $20 as a check-in offer. Sooo if saving money wasn't enough for you with these low prices, then THAT should give you more of a reason to step inside this store. Second, I really love the decor of the place. Quite honestly, I had no idea it was even a thrift store until my best friend told me it was. It felt like I was shopping at an indie retail store with different styles and pieces. One of my favorite racks is the Coachella rack! They really have a rack dedicated to crazy, funky, and Coachella-inspired pieces that will certainly add the wow factor to your outfits! I also love that they have cute little knick-knacks like pool floaties (notable mentions include the avocado, pizza, and unicorn) as well as sunglasses, pins, and other accessories you didn't know you needed until you saw them! Overall, would highly recommend coming here. They have great customer service and truly wonderful articles of clothing. I ended up leaving with a purple Hawaiian print button-down and a pineapple monogram on a denim button down for a lovely total of $18!
