A must try if you are in Deadwood! The food was so delicious and service was great! The country fried steak and open face roast beef were amazing! Portions are huge!

Good service, good food, generous portions and right prices. What's not to like? Try the steak tips! French fries are spot on perfect.

Excellent food! Our wait person was amazing! Provided recommendations for food and drink. He was friendly and personable. There was a man (had a mustache and beard) that ordered other employees around while he chatted. I assumed he was a boss. All I could think was thank goodness I don't work for him. I found out later he was a server. The wait person we had and another server handled it better than I would have. It was clean. It's a restaurant, bar and a casino. Atmosphere was great!

Was just ok. Steak a little dry and lacked flavor. Flies bothered me most of the time. Would of liked a steak elsewhere. Salad was good. Staff great.

Rocky Mountain Oysters; yup, Ken and I will do it. Steve, not so much...

Okay, so any meal that begins with Rocky Mountain Oysters has to be 5-stars, just for the novelty of it. The "oysters" are sliced, marinated, breaded and deep-fried Bull's Testicles.... This isn't my first time at the rodeo, I accidentally had Elk Testicles in Montreal, but, the waiter called it something like "VI-TALit-A." In any case, the Rocky Mountain Oysters were fine, but, not as good as the Fried Avocados. I am going to have to look up the recipe for this, as they were just so delicious! We split both appetizers three ways; and, enjoyed both of them very much. Supper was light, with two of us splitting the BLT and Onion Rings; and, our other dining companion chowing down on the Boss Hog. The BLT was on a nicely toasted bread, with plenty of bacon, lettuce, tomato, and dressed with mayonnaise. The onion rings were outstanding, fried super crispy; and, tender inside. The bbq sandwich looked fine... he doesn't talk much. An Angry Orchard (hard cider) and a Fat Tire (beer) rounded out our orders, with me asking for lemonade. Victoria did a fine job, making sure my drink was never lacking. She was very patient with our ordering process, which was a bit disjointed, and answered all of our questions about the menu items.

Average burger, good service, ok prices. I guess what I expected in Deadwood, drinking and gambling town where food is an afterthought.

My wife ordered the Chicken Primavera with gluten free penne, featuring grilled chicken, pesto, and carrots. It was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked well and was also very good. As always, we put restaurants through a bit of a stress test. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. The kitchen was able to accommodate the gluten free pasta request, which we appreciated. The atmosphere is one of the restaurant's biggest strengths. The historic building and the old photographs covering the walls make for a fun dining experience and really add to the character of the place. Service was just okay. Nothing was wrong, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for credit card payments, so if you'd rather avoid the extra fee, bring cash. Overall, we will probably pick something else a try if we return to Deadwood. Worth it if you are heading there just for the historic atmosphere. It's a great stop if you're spending time in Deadwood.

While in SD I figured this was the perfect time to try and real bison steak and I did. You can tell it was not beef but it was delicious. The loaded baked potato was also delicious. Their signature cocktail menu included many different options. If you're ever in Deadwood, I highly suggest stopping by there. The service is also amazing.

The other waitress and waiters had smiles and polite, seemed to be anyway. I wanted to let someone know about the first time interaction I've ever had with your restaurant. It's hailing out, so I called to see about placing an order, I have no problem on waiting. I called and was greeted with, No, I'm not doing a to go order, as he's hanging up on me. You could hear, to dam busy for a to go order. So, I walked over, only to see whole lot of empty chairs. I sat down at the bar, he didn't know who I was, no possible way he knew who I was. But was thrown a menu. Within a two minutes of sitting down, he was able to take my order. But, I began to place the order of a full rack please?! (Heard so much about them ribs.) I was immediately greeted with "yeah what sides." Sorry, didn't realize there was sides that came with it in my head. I asked "oh sorry, where are the sides". Where he then tells me " maybe read here." Wow, was my response where he grabbed my menu, beyond shocked at this point. I stood up and began to walk away. I got up and I asked him, are you the one that answered the phone?! He said "yup, and please don't come back." As two other guests are sitting there had their dinner interrupted by this unfortunate incident, let me know and stated, "yeah he's a dick". This is how yall do business?! I wouldn't like to think so. I'm not here for a vacation but, for work. However, a numerous amount of people are. He made it very clear on how any one attempting to order food is treated at your facility. I understand, people have bad days but, that was truly uncalled for. The disrespect for attempting to order food at a restaurant. Wasn't asking for anything for free, definitely paying. I know this may fall on deaf ears but, I did ask for a manager below. The lady, a supervisor only for the bottom part, very kind, heard the whole thing and asked me to please write this out on a piece of paper. Thank you ma'am, hopefully this will reach someone.

Another very average meal in an understaffed restaurant. We arrived, and there was no one to greet us at the hostess station. I had to go to the back to the restaurant to alert them that there was now a queue of people waiting to be seated (others arrived after us). Our waitress was very nice. I think she was the only person for the whole restaurant. Thankfully we weren't in a rush, but service was slow. We ordered a couple beers and sodas for the kids. One of the beers was not available, so I switched up my order. The beers were locally made and pretty unremarkable. We started with the game sausage sampler. They were fine but not great. Then my kids had their kids meals, and I had the game burger, and my husband had a regular cheeseburger. I thought the game burger was fine, although I couldn't really tell that it was made of any meat other than beef. So not gamy, but not really remarkable either? This is a sports bar in a casino. Strangely enough, two of the screens were showing a pickleball game. I guess that's a sport, but really?
