This place is a local treat! Restaurant in front and really large bar in the back. Buffet and salad bar starts at 11. Really good diner type food. Didn't try the pie but it looked homemade. We went on a Sunday morning and it was a local crowd of older people after church- we loved it! Tons of seating in the restaurant too. The bar was really big and had a couple pool tables, some electric casino gaming machines, a dance floor type area, and lots of seating at the bar. Fun find after staying at an amazing Air BnB in town!

I went on a Friday night because I saw their Facebook page said they were serving Prime Rib as a Friday and Saturday night special.

My wife ordered the Chicken Primavera with gluten free penne, featuring grilled chicken, pesto, and carrots. It was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked well and was also very good. As always, we put restaurants through a bit of a stress test. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. The kitchen was able to accommodate the gluten free pasta request, which we appreciated. The atmosphere is one of the restaurant's biggest strengths. The historic building and the old photographs covering the walls make for a fun dining experience and really add to the character of the place. Service was just okay. Nothing was wrong, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for credit card payments, so if you'd rather avoid the extra fee, bring cash. Overall, we will probably pick something else a try if we return to Deadwood. Worth it if you are heading there just for the historic atmosphere. It's a great stop if you're spending time in Deadwood.

We made reservations at the deadwood Social Club and when you walk in, it's as advertised. You walk into Saloon 10 and then take an elevator to the 2nd floor to get to the Social Club. While in SD I figured this was the perfect time to try and real bison steak and I did. You can tell it was not beef but it was delicious. The loaded baked potato was also delicious. Their signature cocktail menu included many different options. If you're ever in Deadwood, I highly suggest stopping by there. The service is also amazing.
