We also got a Mango Cart and Huckleberry Sour on tap. The Mango Cart tasted splendid. The Huckleberry Sour tasted okay. Overall, food and drinks were ready at a normal time. We were there on rally week and I get that servers and staff are overwhelmed but that is no excuse to be borderline rude and passive aggressive. We went as a family of 5, with a child. We had a basic lunch and didn't bother her too much but she was simply not having it. So our first lunch at Sturgis didn't go really well. We were there about a week after rally week. You could tell that everyone was exhausted and still recovering, and everyone was moving slow. The food was decent, nothing special in our opinion. I'm not 100% sure what the draw is for Sturgis, as a whole we didn't see it. But we can check this one off the list as there are much more interesting places for us to visit in South Dakota. read more

Service was a little on the slow side, but they were kinda busy for lunch so it was expected. Our server was really nice and fun. She made sure we had water and drinks the whole time. The food just took a while. My stepdad had Cole slaw as his side and said it was great! I got the french dip and it was juicy and tender. The mashed potatoes and grqvy i got as mmy side was pretty deliscious! The gravy could have used a little more S&P during the cooking process. The rodeo burger my husband got was a little overdone and didn't have lots of toppings. It was just burger, bread and bacon. He kinda assumed it would have your typical toppings like onion or lettuce. Bathrooms are clean and there's lots of cool random decor on the walls ans hanging from the ceiling. If i ever find myself in Sturgis again I would definitely go back. That French dip was worth it! read more

We did a quick stop to visit during off season. We had to get some world-famous steak bites. They were great. Loved the atmosphere and smiling wait staff. Even with a full house. The side area was getting ready for a rodeo and could purchase a ticket with the waiter. The retail shop was open, and there were lots of great finds and gifts for others. The saloon indoor and outdoor decor is exactly what I expected and was amazing to see. All the food was great and drinks were recommended. I'm so glad we stopped. Would have loved to spend a little more time, so we will need to go back again. If you find kind staff, great food and iconic location always a 5 star for me. read more

I ordered the Steak Tips with a side of ranch dressing and fries. The tips were perfectly cooked as well as the fries. They had nice cold beer on top and a nice casual ambiance. Our server was also very good. I would definitely try it again. read more

I went in May ...not during the rally. It was still a great experience! Fun location with friendly, no-nonsense staff. There is (of course) a very long bar but there are also high top tables, standard tables for four, and longer tables for groups of eight. There are a number of pool tables brightly lit in the center of the large space. It is easy to imagine this entire room filled during the Sturgis rally given how many people were here to visit on a random weekend in May. Oh, the food. It is almost a second thought for everyone going there, even if they say they are going because they are hungry. The food is decent. It is nothing to go out of your way for but it is many steps above any fast food. Think mom & pop diner food in a very small town where they are afraid of spices. (This is where they lost a star. It would have been two but the staff was so willing to bring any and every condiment that we could make it great to our own taste.) Staff and menus are kid friendly up to a point. No one under 21 is allowed after 4pm. Better is not to bring children in August at all (the month of the rally). Parking is right out front. Holds cars in three or four rows. Many spaces for any type of vehicle! There is handicap parking. An apron where there is a short ramp instead of a curb there are no steps inside. And there are standard height tables to wheel up to. Next to the main bar room there is outdoor bar space that is used only during the month of the rally. Then next to that is the gift shop. What I particularly liked was that they sold the cups they used to serve soft drinks.and iced tea in, with their logo on them. They did have all the typical wares too: magnets, hats, T shirts. If you have any interest in motorcycles or in someone who has an interest in motorcycles, this should be one of your stops. read more

A group of 5 stopped into the Knuckle for dinner while attending Sturgis this year. The Knuckle was jam packed; however, we were seated quickly. Credit cards are an accepted form of payment. The Knuckle offers a full bar, limited draft beer choices and wine. Food orders are placed via a paper menu that one fills out themselves. Pretty clever way to keep errors minimal when so packed and loud. Fun memorabilia can be viewed at the back store or throughout the saloon while waiting for your meal to arrive. My wife ordered a plain 1/2 pound Burger & Fries for $15 + $1 up-charge each for the addition of bacon and cheese. Total cost was $17. I shared the French Dip with my girlfriend for $15 + $1 up-charge each for cheese, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms. Total cost was $18. This was one of the best French Dips that I have ever eaten. Our server was fabulous and so efficient in such a busy establishment. read more

We came here on a Sunday evening about 5 days before the rally officially started. They were already out of a lot of food on their menu, and when we ordered, they told us it would be a 45-minute wait to get our food. It was not a big crowd here. We walked right in and set down. Service was really good! We came here at 9 pm on a random thursday on the way to our campground and we got seated right away. Drinks came quick, ordering came quick, and food came decently quick. I got the regular burger with cheese and bacon and it was very good 10/10. My mom got the same burger without bacon and said it was a 9/10. The atmosphere was okay. Kind of unsettling with gangs and bikers but i'm from a very different state haha. They also had kids who look about 12 serving alcohol? I don't know if that's legal. "Mama told me not to go, she said: that ain't no way to have fun son but I went to Sturgis anyway. I landed in The Knuckle Saloon, a pub/restaurant, western entertainment mecca. They do Ken's Krazy Karaoke, bull riding, rooster roping, car shows and live country western. The place has one of the longest bars I have ever seen and it looks like a horizontal Christmas tree when all the lights are one. Talk about lights, "The Knuckle Saloon" is an arcade of memorabilia. It is outside, inside, on the walls and the ceiling. When you are as old as I am, you recognize some of it. They have reasonable prices, I had the "Knuckle Sandwich" at $10). Not much to complain about. The craft beer was cold. Not much to complain about. Word of advice though, when playing Texas Hold em, always quit while you are ahead. Fun place to people watch and watch a sports event. Came off season, so I can't speak about what this establishment is like during the Sturgis rally. Beers were cold, service was on point and friendly. Food came out quickly. Steak tips were tasty but too salty for my taste buds. My cooking involves more herbs for flavor so my salt intake tolerance is low. Most rave about the steak tips being great. Had a fun time while here. Recommend you check it out too! read more

Couldn't tell you if the food was any good or no because when you walk in the sign says "seat yourself" we sat down no one came over... after 10mins some other people came in, sat down and got service right away. After 10more minutes of watching 5 waitresses chat with each other at the end of the bar, we got up and left. Mind you there was only three other tables with people at them in the whole place. It is so unfortunate the Knuckle is on my list of "Never Going Again". Recently, I have been there twice and have encountered unpleasant staff and mediocre food. It seemed like everything was cheap, plastic silverware and plastic cups for beer... not even the nicer red cups. I have never been treated so poorly by a restaurant's staff, including the manager. Absolutely not. No one on the staff wore masks - does the virus not exist in SD? No mask enforcement, everywhere else in SD did. DISGUSTING bloody mary bar- a billion flies and jars touching the trash can. I felt gross even dining here... couldn't pick up a fry or a wing without getting rid of a fly. The person who helped us was nice, the only reason I didn't give 1 star... Really sad and horrible that people run businesses like this. The food was nothing spectacular and overpriced. The waitress mixed our credit card up with someone else's and never once offered anything to make up for their error. The time we had to spend to cancelling the card, calling them in hopes the other person realized they had the wrong card and returned ours, and checking the account for any incorrect charges, they should of at least comped our meal. To top it off, that was the card we were going to use for the week we were there. I will never spend my money there again. read more
