My daughter and I went here for a late lunch because it is the only place I know where to get a BLT. We ordered the Double BLTs, her's no tomato and mine was on white bread, not toasted. We waited for over 30 minutes to get our food and when it arrived, there was a long curly blond hair in my BLT and my daughter's BLT was the regular BLT with tomato. I asked for the manager and he offered to re-cook our order. It took another 17 minutes and when he served it the bread on my BLT was so stale you could see it, but to be sure, I touched the bread and it was so stale it crunched when I touched it. I told the manager that I was not paying for our food, and left. Buffalo Bobs used to be a great place to eat, but the quality of food has gone downhill so bad that I will not go back. read more

I've been coming to Buffy Bob's for years. I've tried wings at just about every other restaurant in the area. Buffy Bob's are the BEST wings in NKY! The wings are crispy, flavorful, and tender. Fried pickles and waffle fries are also excellent. The pickles are made with dill spears and rolled in spicy batter before deep frying. However, the service at Buffy's is hit or miss, and usually on the unattentive side. But if you go for the wings and/or fried pickles, you will not be disappointed. read more

AWFUL customer service. Will not be back. I'm a bartender/server so I am very patient and understanding when it come to the food industry. We were seated and waited about 10 minutes to even see our server. It's Memorial Day weekend so they were very slow. We were 1 of 2 tables that were in the entire restaurant. It took 30 mintues to get our food. And when we got it, it was cold. Once our food was dropped off we did not see our server but once. We had to get up multiple times. To ask for a box, check, refills and Togo drinks. We were excited to try a new place but after the experience we won't be back. read more

Not really worth your time as there are many other much, much better wing joints in the area. The wings are very small and severely overlooked (I've been here twice and both times this has happened) and the sauces are purely grease and butter and lack all flavor. Went here for my brother's birthday with a table of 8, so not too big of a group. We ordered two appetizers, but never got them. Then an hour later our food came out & when we asked about the apps, the waitress told us that another server had taken them to a different table. However she did remove them from the bill. Half of our food was cold. Our drinks were never refilled. My boyfriend got up twice & went to the kitchen to ask for a refill. Hopefully your experience was/is better. read more

Made a carry out order and when we got home and realized our order of potato wedges were missing (not a big deal, mistakes happen). I called the store to tell them and a boy answered and when I told him his response was, "so I guess you dont want to come back?" I said no, not particularly and told him that also none of the four containers of wings were written on and we couldnt tell them apart and we had to taste each other's wings to try and figure them out and he just said sorry I can credit you for the wedges next time you come in. I said well, so basically for our trouble you will give us our wedges "that we already paid for" the next time we come in? He said would you like to talk to the manager and I said yes please. A young girl got on the phone and without even a sorry, started explains how busy they were and how there was supposed to be two people there and was only one, which I said I understand that...mistakes happen I would just hope as a customer someone would attempt to make up for a mistake they made by offering some sort of "sorry our bad" instead of just offering to give us our wedges the next time. I told her also about not being able to tel the wings apart and she said while we would like for them to write on the container it's not mandatory that they do. Then proceeded to repeat their policy of crediting the missing item the next time we come. The sign on the front of the restaurant includes "Family Restaurant" under the name, yet when I walked in with my family, the first thing I noticed was the wall of smoke we had to go through. You know, I have been to many places where there has been poor food and service. Yet, tonight my family and I received the worst service ever from this place. First off, the food was really bad. My wife's food was so bad that we told the server about it. And she just smiled like "yup, heard this one before". Don't get my wrong - the server was nice. So we asked for managment -- big mistake. This lady whom is the manager came over with such an attidue. We told her, that we don't want anything for free - but the food was really bad. The manger then snarled, walked two feet away and called my wife a "bitch" in front of other servers. We were there with our two kids -- really -- mangement?? She so needs to be fired! We will never go back there again. This was my first experience at Bob's. My first impression was good, it's a well kept restaurant and nicely decorated. We were seated immediately and our waiter was awesome! They have a large selection of beer and bourbon which is cool, and they have a nice looking bar and patio. Food wise, not that impressed. We order some Jalapano poppers and I was happy they were made with cream cheese. But they had no spice and barely any cream cheese, mostly hollow. They were slightly over cooked. We tried a side of the potato with bacon soup and it was tasty. For the entrees I got a Reuben, it did come on rye bread but the bread was thin and barely had any sauerkraut. The fries weren't crunchy and under salted. My boyfriend got a buffalo chicken sandwich and he said it was mediocre. Overall it was a pleasant experience, I think because the waiter was really great. We would go back for a few drinks and appetizers but probably would skip dinner. I am curious to try their wings though! read more

Stopped in here for a quick lunch. Ordered a Cobb salad and coke. The salad was ok, but had very little actual lettuce on it. And they didn't bother to cut up the lettuce so I had to do that myself. I hate places that don't cut up lettuce and make you eat it like a cannibal or something. And it was low grade iceberg, no darker romaine blend. Not too impressed at $10.99 for the salad. To make matters worse, they charged me $2.50 for my coke and (get this), 50 cents for the salad dressing. So let me get this straight, I either have to eat the salad DRY or the true price is $11.49, right? Nothing like nickel and dining the customer to death without warning him. I've eating a lot of salads at a lot of restaurants and NEVER been charged separately and extra for salad dressing. Oh, and the men's bathroom was NASTY DISGUSTING. I won't be back. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would!! I can't even rate the food because we never received our food! We ordered and it took over an hour and a half for them to even acknowledge that our food was late and even then we still hadn't received anything. Their excuse was that they had a large that was taking up the kitchen's time, however the rest of the restaurant was completely dead and if the place is overwhelmed with a decent sized group then they shouldn't even be in business. It took them forever to bring our drinks and the server had the personality of a stick and we had to flag her down as she walked by us and ignored us to get refills. All of the tables around us were covered dirty dishes from the previous guests and the staff didn't even bother to clean it up entire time we were there. To make things worse, the staff was rude and ignorant and started arguing with us when we asked when our food was coming out, mind you this was 90 minutes after we arrived and the restaurant was nearly empty aside from the large group. I went here to watch the UK/Buffalo basketball game (11/16/14), and upon entering at 12 noon all TVs were on NFL network channel, and although the place has about 15 TV's and there were literally only 2 tables occupied in the entire place - prob 5% of the total space available, the manager twice refused to even change 1 of the TVs to the UK basketball game. This is located in KY - where there is no professional football team, and the place was dead as a doornail, and the manager was still refusing to change even 1 TV, on the premise that 'tons' of people come in to watch the football games. He finally was convinced, and put the UK game on the smallest most obscure TV in the entire place, and during our entire 2+ hours there, only 2 additional parties game in to watch the NFL games....This place is terribly ran, has the worst manager, and clearly does not address the needs of their customers. The server was very apologetic and agreed the manager was always like that, but that there was nothing she could do. The wings were ok, but seemed to be in old oil. The best thing about the place was their blue cheese - which was good! I do not recommend going here! I hope the owner of this place reads this, and makes some changes, but it may be too late, as the place looked like it was about to go under. read more

Very disappointed last night...I have been there often. Arrived with not many people in the dining room and ended up waiting for our food for over an hour. Ordered fried mushrooms they were under cooked and mushy...2 nd time around same thing. Take them off of your menu! Not only that you don't sit food in front of people and then have to wait another 10 mins for your ketchup...while the server waits on 5 other people...waiting for the ketchup! Put ketchup on your tables for this type of business don't be so cheap...even Waffle House has condiments on their tables. Even the owner was walking around and didn't stop at my table....bad business. I never expect anything to be taken off of my bill....but I do expect good service (not excuses) and the food I order. We seem to end up eating here 4 or 5 times a year and it is normally pretty good. We stopped in Tuesday 7/8 and I ordered the Tilapia dinner. It was a good portion and tasted pretty good but i like to add hot sauce to pretty much any fish i eat. Well I asked for a bottle of hot sauce , any hot sauce but preferably Franks and was told by the waitress that they don't have any? Seriously??? She then said that since they are a wing place, really , says family restaurant on the sign, that she could sell me some wing sauce for 50 cents. I honestly don't think i have ever eaten anywhere that doesnt have any type of hot sauce. Ok , now for my 2nd complaint. The wife was ordering a burger , bacon cheeseburger to be more specific. Waitress asks what she wants on it. Just mayo and jalapenos says my wife. The waitress says well we have jalapenos but that will be an extra 50 cents. I think lettuce , tomato and onion would cost more than a few slices of jalapeno. I am sensing a pattern here. All in all this is a good local place to eat , they have a great variety and most of the food is pretty good. The prices aren't cheap but pretty fair i would say but to start adding charges will be enough to make me stay away. I hate being nickel and dimed to death!!! read more
