Bud's has been giving my family quality service for over a decade. Steve is my guy- always super helpful and friendly when my older AC unit goes down. On the office side, I recently had a small issue with their 'after hours' AI agent giving me the runaround, and booking appointments that never went through... but, once an actual human got involved it was smooth sailing. This AI stuff is the way of the world these days, and Bud's is working it out with their answering service. On May 8th, Vincent from Bud's Plumbing, Heating & Air came to our home to replace a bulb on our HVAC unit. He was incredibly personable and professional--you could tell right away that he truly loves what he does. I can't say enough great things about Bud's. Had a very stubborn clog in my drain pipe coming from my HVAC. Initially had a different company come out to try to clear it, and they spent about 2 hrs without any luck and still charged me $400+, and said I'd have to install a brand new pipe from my attic (which would cost me a lot more $$). Called Bud's for a second opinion, Andy came out the first time with different tools than the first company, and while he wasn't able to initially clear it, he didn't charge me for his labor and was able to find exactly where the clog was in the wall. I had to open up the sheet rock, but he came back next week and cleared nearly 3 feet of caked rust in the pipe in under an hour, even replaced the corroded section with brand new pipe. If I could give them a negative, I would. My tankless hot water heater went out and I called Bud's. The two techs who came out didn't even remove the cover to the tank. They turned something on and off and I had hot water and then lost it again. I found that odd. They went into my attic, but said nothing about the set up there. After spending about 30 minutes in their van "talking to the supervisor", they came back with "you need to replace the unit". Cost of $6800.00. I said no thank you. I called another company who came out the next day and determined the issue was related to the venting. They came back the next day and fixed the issue (but before leaving the first time, had a temporary fix so that I would have hot water). All of this for $500.00. I will never recommend Bud's to anyone. read more

Nate Runynon did an OUSTANDING job quickly and accurately diagnosing a leak behind bathroom wall. The problem was a leaky faucet which he was able to quickly and adroitly repair. I just wanted to add that I used Bud's Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric for a few years and have witnessed their service standards become progressively worse. I felt comfortable using Bud's at first as they have a representative at Costco everyday and I am a huge Costco fan. However, Bud's "techs" remind me of used car salesmen - sleazy and untrustworthy. The "techs" treat women customers as prey if they think the women are home alone. The "techs" attitude will change when they realize a man is in the house. Management isn't any better. BEWARE! EDIT: The business representative's response means nothing to me. She has no idea what happened and is making assumptions in her sexist response. Bud's response to my review should be a red flag to any potential customers (especially women!) as to the indifference Bud's holds towards any type of concerns regarding their sleazy business practices and customer service. My experience with being treated as prey by Bud's has nothing to do with questions asked by me but the visible change in the tech's demeanor (as it relates to his sleazy "used car salesman" upselling and attitude) when he realized a man was in the house. Costco should be made aware of Bud's bad business practices and bad customer service. It definitely does not meet the quality standards that I expect from Costco (I'm a 20+ year Costco member). Had several service calls over the past few years for our new AC unit. Bud's never figured out the problem and they were rude each time. Worleys came out ONCE and solved it! They were polite and respectful and took the time to figure it out. Buds guys always rushed, didn't want us to watch and never gave us confidence in Do NOT waste your money using Bud's! I've come to update my review from 4 days ago and as you can see from my stars, total opposite experience. One of the owners, Chandler reached out about my previous experience and apologized on behalf of everyone I dealt with. He refunded my $89 and offered to have a tech come out to put my new thermostat free of charge. Jack and Matt came out during the designated window. The first thing Jack said was "I read the review, you don't need to explain" They actually found out that a cord was broken somehow, which is why my AC unit was not getting power. So it was not my thermostat, as the previous tech had stated. I went ahead and had them install the new thermostat since I had it there already. They did everything free of charge. They also cleaned up after themselves. They accidentally took my old thermostat with them, but that's in the process of being brought back. They got my AC working again and my new thermostat hooked up properly. I'm impressed with the action Chandler took and how the situation was dealt with. They were 100% opposite of what I previously dealt with and these guys are the reason I will continue using Buds and will suggest using Buds to my friends and family. So yesterday was a homeowner's nightmare. I put a load of laundry in the washing machine and a few minutes later I heard toilets bubbling water, I ran to the bathroom and noticed that the tub and toilet had filled with backwash, see attached photos. Once I saw that happen I went right to yelp and set up a project message to local plumbers in the area. Bud's Heating & Air Conditioning responded quickly offering to put me on with dispatch. I gave my information and about 10 minutes later I received a phone call from Brandon checking to see if I was okay, if my situation was an emergency etc. He even advised me to call the city and have them come out and look to see if it would be their responsibility which would save me some money. He gave me an idea of what could possibly be going on. Needless to say the city left me a note on the door stating that it was the owner's responsibility. Great! I messaged Bud's this morning asking when there next available tech could come out and I was given the window of 12-5pm. Around 9ish I received a call stating that there was a sooner opening and if I could make that one. Quinn showed up and checked my bathtub, toilets and washing machine. Just as Brandon said my main line needed to be snaked. Quinn was quick, friendly and professional. I had lots of questions and he answered them all. If you need a plumber, a reliable, friendly, cares about their customers, use Bud's. I was even given a 30 day warranty for my plumbing! read more

I have used Bud's for projects, large and small, for many years. A 5 year old mini-split in my sunroom was not cooling, so I called Buds. Imagine my surprise when the tech, Andrew, announced that it was an inadequate unit and needed replacement before he entered the sunroom or LOOKED at the mini-split. It no longer surprised me when the estimate to repair the mini-split was the majority of the cost to purchase a new one. Afterall, the "up-sell" started from the beginning. I paid $89 for the service visit and Andrew left. Within 20 minutes of his departure, the sales office at Buds was calling to set up the install of a new mini-split. No thanks. Horrible company to deal with. We spent $15000 with them getting our system replaced May 2024 and it has been nothing but problems. The indoor and outdoor unit have broke multiple times. Our 7 month old system is now a Frankenstein system. I lost track of how many parts that have been replaced. It still does not work properly, and Buds refuses to stand behind their work. However, the outrageous estimate of 8.5k to run wiring for a provided whole home generator is 8-10x times of other estimates is ridiculous. Technician TOTALLY ignored our health concern 90% due to his OWN want after entering our home. The health concern was clearly explained to the technician before entering our home & he was provided a N95 mask. After entering our home within minutes he decided he wasn't going to/couldn't use the mask not even to come through the areas of which we were seated. If he can work outside daily for minutes to hours in heat almost 100+ degrees he can clearly use a mask to walk through areas the customer are sitting= TOTAL Disrespect of a home owner & health concerns. read more

I called on a Saturday afternoon to see about scheduling someone to come over. I get it, it's not on a weekday but they did advertise 24/7 so I thought I could call to schedule. The lady who answered let me know quickly that it's for emergencies only. I apologized politely and said I will try somewhere else then and she actually huffed at me lol. Like dang! My 17+ year old furnace died on Dec 30, 2020. Called Bud's at 8:30am to get an appointment for a diagnosis. They said a tech would be on site between 3pm and 6pm that very day. Well the tech showed up at 3pm..ish. After diagnosing the issue of a dead blower fan and making note of the fact that the unit is 17 years old, we discussed replacement of the unit. I wasn't pressured to buy a new furnace first and foremost. The tech said they could replace the blower but I should consider throwing more money at an end of life unit. I new this day was coming anyway (replacement). So I discussed replacement furnace options. The tech gave me all the options to include financing with different price ranges of units. After agreement on a new unit; and a call back to home office, Bud's was able to show up the very next morning at 8:00am, remove the old unit, install the new unit, give me a walk-thru, overview all by 1:00pm. Cleaned up the work site - spotless. This company is a gem. Responsive, reactive, and professional. Getting a new furnace in one day is a blessing made by Bud's, just before the "REAL" winter kicks in. Thank you Buds. Highly recommended. read more

We have been under contract with Bud for 11 years. With the thought that we would be preferred customers. Bud was going to come out and check our heating system in November, I received a call from Bud the morning that they were supposed to come saying the repair man was out sick and the earliest they could come out is three weeks away. They could not give me a earlier time because they were working with people that had no heat. I was not a emergency. 2 weeks ago I called Bud as my water heater was leaking and I was told the earliest they could come out is 4 days, they were only working on emergency calls. When I told Bud that the water heater was leaking in my house was told 4 days was the best they could do. I asked to speak to some one in management was told no one was in the office, I left my name and number and asked for some one to call me NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED. Today Bud came out to check my heating system and found a part that was not working. He replaced the part as the part was under warranty. Was charged $150.00 labor for 5 minutes to install the part. When I asked the repair man how much would it cost if I did not have a warranty was told $185.00 and that is with labor. $150.00 labor charge for 5 minutes of work. Again I called the office to speak with someone in management and was told no one was in the office, again left my name and phone number and no one calls. After 11 years under contract I am cancelling my contract. If you can not return calls or give service I DO NOT NEED BUD. read more

Aaron came out on time and wearing a mask. This was for the repair of a washing machine drain line which went from the washer, under the house and tied into the waste line. This is a rental property and we have had problems in the past with people not showing up so we were pleased that this work was done quickly and in a timely manner. We called Bud's a few months back because we installed a Nest thermostat but didn't have a common wire so needed it to be installed. The technician who came out complained the entire time he installed it and said most companies refuse to work on Nest thermostats. Before he left he stated he checked the AC and heat and both worked fine, then left (this visit alone cost a pretty penny). Then a month or so after, we tried to run our AC before summer hit and our AC was blowing hot air. Given that the technician claimed it worked the last time he was here we called Bud's again and asked them to come out. The same technician came out, complaining again and now stated we had a valve that needed to be replaced. He quoted us $1600 for the valve (the part itself was $99 and then it was going to be $1500 for labor alone) and said that's all that needed to be replaced. Even though he stated it worked last time he was here and he previously missed the valve issue, we still had to pay the service call. We ended up getting a second and third opinion. It ended up our compressor was shot and we needed to replace our entire unit, which their technician missed. The other companies stated this wouldn't have been missed had the input and output of the unit been tested. So instead of $1500, we ended up paying $9000 to replace the entire unit with another friendly company who had awesome technicians. Huge loss on Bud's part and will absolutely not recommend their services. read more

After a Sunday attempt to fix our leaky shower which resulted in more leaks from the bent copper fittings behind the wall, we decided to call around town for help. We got in contact with Bud's. In no time, Quinn, the tech assigned to us called us to assess the job and price quoted us. He then got the parts needed at Home Depot, updating us while on the trip, and came to replumb and install the new fixtures. We used Buds to install our Mitsubishi split system in our 100 year old house when we moved in about five years ago. Since then, we have had minimal issues with our system, and each time they have come out to service it, our technician has been friendly, knowledgable, and even educated us about how to best care for our units. Also, nearly every time we call, they have a technician out within 24-48 hours. The biggest problem we have with them are when the lines get clogged -- then the systems closest to the line clog will dump water/condensation all over the floor. This happens a LOT in the summer months when it is very hot and they are working over time, and almost always in the spring when we switch over from heat to AC. We manage it, but it isn't the best situation -- and there is apparently nothing much you can do about it. It's just how the system works/operates. Overall, we have been happy with Buds and will continue to use them in the future. read more

We have had a contract with Bud's Heating and Air conditioning for many years with little trouble. We'd have to call and remind them most of the time to schedule appointments even though we had a contract for semi annual treatment but if we missed a 6 month service we were not notified nor reimbursed for that service. We had an appointment for September 6th for a final appointment on our contract and to renew, we needed to pay for the year 2023, $178, this would renew our contract! We wrote him a check. Anyway, we tried to get a second opinion on a plumbing problem we needed taken care of and that's where our troubles began! Because we were good customers of Bud's, we got a free inspection of our problem. The man they sent gave us a quote for 2 hundred dollars less than the the first guy's quote right off the bat because that's how "he" did things. When they looked at the problem, the man "Brandon" said that the first man was completely wrong about what was needed and he could take care of the problem for $750 and if he was wrong, he would do the original work and add the $750 towards the original price he quoted! Sounds wonderful right but that was just one man's word with no written contact, which we asked for! Instead of a contract, we received a bill for payment due on receipt, before the job was even scheduled to occur! We called and asked to speak with Brandon but he of course was unavailable, so we asked for the head person for plumbing which was none other than Brandon so we asJed to speak with him before the work was done so our appointment was canceled! Two minutes later Brandon called and we told him about the bill we received. He reassured us that we didn't have to pay until the job was done! Again, his word, no contract! But our appointment was already filled by someone else! He was so sorry that he set up a special appointment for that Sunday, and he "his team" would do the work himself! An hour before he was expected someone called to cancel the appointment with no explanation. Instead of calling us to reschedule, no one even contacted us. So we waited and waited till finally, 2 weeks later we called, as usual Brandon was unable to be reached so another appointment was scheduled to be done by him. A week later, on September 7th, a man named Joe showed up with a service order to do the job that Brandon's team was supposed to do. ALONE!!! He knew nothing about the verbal contract with Brandon and was to collect the $750 once the work was done with no assurances to add this money to any further services! We asked why he was alone and where was Brandon? He said that Brandon was "sick" and that he did this particular job alone all the time! We canceled the work order and told Joe we were going to get another opinion on the job. To make matters worse after our check for the heat and air contact cleared, we received a letter from Bud's that said we were no longer their customer and a refund check for half the amount we paid for the complete year of 2023 service! They said that the we were charged for the service on September 6th, which we had already paid for. Does anyone know a good lawyer?? read more

Our standalone shower needed a cartridge replaced as there was a slow drip. I'd replaced it before but this time I needed a pro because the brass ring holding the cartridge in place was fuzed on and wouldn't budge without damaging the valve. The plumber called before arriving and was there on time. The plumber was able to get the ring off and cartridge replaced, saving me around $1000 by not having to replace the valve. Cleaned up nicely and was done inside of an hour. Next morning's shower was a little on the chilly side so I called back. The same plumber came back within an hour and adjusted the scald protection. Done in 10 minutes, no charge. I highly recommend Bud's for plumbing! read more

Save Your $ & Spend it Elsewhere!!! KEEP IN MIND: From beginning I was told techs come from either location. Years ago I had a water heater installed & had negative issues (Technicians not showing up for appointments...forgetting to install parts so having to come back out...Leaving garbage all over my attic (Keep in mind my attic is always clean) & when called back to clean it up they just threw some in between the pink insulation & cleaned up the rest...entryway for my attic was fixed back very sloppy (I was told they had to remove it to replace the water heater but they would fix it back like new once finished & I agreed but it was very sloppy & I requested they fix it). I was upset about the issues but never disrespectful. When Steve Morewitz contacted me he was very professional & understanding & offered me a discount for all the troubles & I appreciated that. I know that no one is perfect & mistakes happen so I decided that since time has passed 2022 is a new year & hopefully things would be better, so I gave the company another chance by calling them to add their annual maintenance plan. I called to request an updated quote for the water heater & was told the new $ & that they would send a copy via email. STRIKE 1: When I received it, I realized they sent the wrong one because this was for extra services as well as the $ was more than double what they quoted me for on the phone. so I called back to let them know...received an attitude by the female that answered. STRIKE 2: Once I received corrected copy I scheduled to start the annual maintenance visits. Visit was scheduled for time frame of 10 am-1 pm. I'm a patient person & I know that things happen so I waited until 1:35 pm & called the company to find out what happened since no one showed up. STRIKE 3: I was told I was talking to a Manager name Angie. Throughout this conversation I maintained my professionalism & even reminded her that I was being respectful because she kept being rude, laughing & making comments to me as if she was saying my concerns were irrelevant. I was told the technician had a minor accident on another job the day prior & I told her I hope that he is okay but the company still should have contacted me to let me know because that is a lack of communication & I was at home waiting. I told her that even though I had a negative experience w/ the company years ago I still gave them another chance & she just kept laughing & said things like "You were compensated for that...Years ago when we tried to schedule an appointment with you, you were only available some days". I told her that me having to leave work every time someone had to come back out multiple times to correct their errors is irrelevant to the current situation since initially the installation was promised to be completed in one visit via their contract. Since she just kept cutting me off, laughing & making it seem like I was at fault I let her know that I would not be continuing with their company & I will post a review due to her unprofessionalism & disrespect. read more

I called Bud's last week during our heatwave. Kevin sent Andy out the same day. Andy gave me two options, repair or replace. My system was thirteen years old, so replacement was the logical choice. I again contacted Kevin on Monday and asked how soon I could get a new unit installed. He said I could have it as early as Thursday. Needless to say, I'm sitting in my house now enjoying the comforts of my new air conditioner. I had a system that was old and thought I might not be able to get a similar unit. I not only did get what I wanted, it gets better. I got a great price. Blane and his crew arrived and went to work with no supervision or interruptions from me.
