    Smart thermostat working after he left.

    I've come to update my review from 4 days ago and as you can see from my stars, total opposite experience. One of the owners, Chandler reached out about my previous experience and apologized on behalf of everyone I dealt with. He refunded my $89 and offered to have a tech come out to put my new thermostat free of charge. Jack and Matt came out during the designated window. The first thing Jack said was "I read the review, you don't need to explain" They actually found out that a cord was broken somehow, which is why my AC unit was not getting power. So it was not my thermostat, as the previous tech had stated. I went ahead and had them install the new thermostat since I had it there already. They did everything free of charge. They also cleaned up after themselves. They accidentally took my old thermostat with them, but that's in the process of being brought back. They got my AC working again and my new thermostat hooked up properly. I'm impressed with the action Chandler took and how the situation was dealt with. They were 100% opposite of what I previously dealt with and these guys are the reason I will continue using Buds and will suggest using Buds to my friends and family. Thanks for everything!

    So yesterday was a homeowner's nightmare. I put a load of laundry in the washing machine and a few minutes later I heard toilets bubbling water, I ran to the bathroom and noticed that the tub and toilet had filled with backwash, see attached photos. Once I saw that happen I went right to yelp and set up a project message to local plumbers in the area. Bud's Heating & Air Conditioning responded quickly offering to put me on with dispatch. I gave my information and about 10 minutes later I received a phone call from Brandon checking to see if I was okay, if my situation was an emergency etc. He even advised me to call the city and have them come out and look to see if it would be their responsibility which would save me some money. He gave me an idea of what could possibly be going on. Needless to say the city left me a note on the door stating that it was the owner's responsibility. Great! I messaged Bud's this morning asking when there next available tech could come out and I was given the window of 12-5pm. Around 9ish I received a call stating that there was a sooner opening and if I could make that one. Quinn showed up and checked my bathtub, toilets and washing machine. Just as Brandon said my main line needed to be snaked. Quinn was quick, friendly and professional. I had lots of questions and he answered them all. If you need a plumber, a reliable, friendly, cares about their customers, use Bud's. I was even given a 30 day warranty for my plumbing!

Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. While the technician who came was knowledgeable and professional, the issue lies in how the company conducts business, which ultimately left me $174 out of pocket for a service that didn't resolve the problem. After diagnosing the issue, the technician said the P-trap was clogged and vacuumed the drain line. She said water appeared to be draining properly and noted that some light dripping might continue due to wet insulation -- but we were relieved that the problem seemed resolved. Just a few hours later, the leak returned -- same spot, same amount. When I called the company the next day, I was told the line might still be clogged and that they could come back out, but I'd be charged another $85 labor fee -- even though the first visit didn't resolve the issue. I also learned their advertised "30-day guarantee" only waives the $89 diagnostic fee, not the labor, even for the exact same unresolved problem. After doing my own research, I realized that since they already knew the drain line was underground and made of metal, a quick vacuum was unlikely to solve the problem long-term especially because we don't have a condensation pump. It made me question and feel like they were just trying to get me to spend more money piece by piece. I tried speaking with the manager, Robert, before leaving a review to resolve the issue but was told it's simply "company policy" to charge a labor cost again. I won't be using A/C Masters in the future, and I would caution others to seek a company that stands behind their work and prioritizes fixing the problem the first time -- not charging again for unresolved issues.

I chose to work with Terrance because he was eager to secure my business and promised to complete the job quickly. To be clear, Terrance does not perform the work himself--he contracts everything out. He even lowered the price slightly, which seemed like a good deal at first. However, when it came time to pay, he added "taxes," which brought the price right back to what it was before he offered the discount. There was also no clear scheduling process, no courtesy calls, and no text notifications before workers arrived. For example, one day I came home from work and minutes later someone rang my doorbell saying they were there to take measurements--without any prior notice. When the installation took place, I was at work and again received no call to let me know what time to expect them. After the unit was installed on July 11, I had to follow up myself to ensure I had all necessary paperwork for warranty purposes. The installers also left behind a large box from packaging and what appeared to be a part from my old unit. Since installation, I have been trying to reach Terrance about follow-up concerns. I have sent multiple texts with no response and only received a reply after I called and left a message--18 days later. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Terrance. His business practices are extremely unprofessional, from poor communication to lack of customer follow-up. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who values professionalism and customer service.

I told them I wanted to get a second opinion and some additional quotes. Later, I discovered they had taken the power disconnect breaker with them and then blocked my number when I called to ask for its return. I ended up calling Smiley's Heating and Cooling, who saved the day. Turns out, the problem was simply a loose power line under the house. The first company had stolen my power disconnect, which I had to replace for $500. This company is nothing more than a group of con artists, more interested in selling a whole new system than actually fixing the issue. Avoid them at all costs.

Seems like every home I buy I have old units and always needs some sort of work. We have always taken advice from him...He is full of knowledge when it comes to our systems. He informed us that we would need to have the evaporator coil replaced. He said he would work up an estimate and call us later. When he called he informed us that the evaporator coil was still under warranty. He checked on the warranty without us asking. We paid for the labor and the refrigerant but not the evaporator coil. He saved us several thousand dollars. A day later the AC stopped working again and we called him back to see what was wrong. He explained that a capillary tube was leaking and that caused the refrigerant to leak out. He made the repair and told us that there was no charge for the repair because he said it could have possibly been done during the installation of the evaporator coil. Tommy Quick's integrity and honesty is exceptional. I have already recommended him to some of the people I work with and will continue to recommend him. Quick Heating and Air will be my first call when I have any issues with my heating and air.
