Thankfully, Atomic Plumbing & Drain Cleaning came through for us! Huge kudos to Jim and Will for being so professional, polite, and persistent. They quickly diagnosed the problem and were able to get everything fixed. We're so thankful to have water running properly again. Excellent service from start to finish -- highly recommend Atomic Plumbing!

I wanted to share my experience with Atomic Plumbing, hoping it might help others avoid similar…read moresituations when choosing a service provider. I called Atomic Plumbing last month to quote a repair for a leaking corroded drain pipe in my crawlspace that caused a strong odor in my home. I clearly communicated the crawlspace's tight space when setting my appointment, and they agreed to send someone suitable for a $95 diagnostic fee. However, the fee for the quote unexpectedly increased to $275 for a relatively brief visit. Security cameras show the technician spent less than 10 minutes in the crawlspace. To make matters even more concerning, the technician claimed there was also a leak in the wall that would be requiring major kitchen repair and gave us a referral card to their preferred restoration company. The technician from Atomic claimed that this was a huge insurance claim and that we would be getting a whole new kitchen out of the ordeal. Three other professionals (from both a plumbing and a water damage restoration company) later confirmed there was no leak in the wall at all. We opted for a pipe swap from galvanized to pvc by removing some drywall under the kitchen cabinets, no cabinet removal or wall restoration was necessary unlike what the technician from Atomic Plumbing told us. I also found it odd that the technician described the damage as extensive but didn't take any photos to show us, unlike the other contractors who documented everything and deemed the issue manageable. I was leaning towards going with Atomic Plumbing initially. They had good availability and could've gotten the done the job sooner than the other company that I received a quote from. They did have a very quick response time, as they were at my house within an hour and a half of calling them Unfortunately the cost for just a quote jumping from $95 to $275 without any warning felt like a bait and switch, and is what ultimately made me decide to call another company for second opinions and repairs. I'm very thankful I trusted my gut and didn't go with Atomic and have my kitchen ripped apart for no reason.

Our water system is working, and we feel comfortable moving forward with the company. Original review: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Serviced our system in April (routine maintenance) and we immediately had a problem that evening after the technician left. Told us to "place the system in bypass". It is now the end of June and we are still in bypass with disgusting water! No one answers the phone. No one updates us. Our fixtures and clothing are being ruined with iron. I can't cook with the water. We can't drink the water. I understand that "things happen" but at least answer the phone and respond to your paying customers!

This is a SCAM albeit a good one. From the start they mail you a test kit and tell you to mail…read moreeverything back, should have been a first red flag (if you receive this in the mail keep it and send it to the city) but we had just received a letter from the city so we were curious about getting our water tested. Then they called in said we had 70% dissolved solids in our water and i asked for supervisor when the lady didnt know what i was talking about when i said are you sure its not ppm parts per million. Supervisor called and clarified it was ppm. Next a tech came out. From the get go it sounded very aggressie sales person pitch. At one point he asked for my wife to come down and said they require both to be present. I asked whose "they" and he avoided answering, he kept saying they require it and I kept asking who they is and he finally said his company. Clearly trying not to give up the ruse that they're not affiliated with the city. So clearly they're trained to not do anything "illegal", pretty scummy. I told him no my wife isn't coming down. I asked what he was trying to sell me and he said nothing, we provide solutions. Disolved solids in the water. First thing, disolved solids in your water is not inherently bad. They know this because when i asked about any EPA regulations, they avoided it and kept going back to the EWG. Though at one point the sales person did lie to me and said the EWG standards were set by the EPA as i was asking too many questions. At this point Tracy got confrintational and went back to the ppm of disolved solids. To keep this brief, they try to get you to freak out that stuff is in your water (this is why they wanted my wife present and tried to 'require it'), very scummy. I asked, if they were specifically going to test what was in my 119 ppm disolved solid water (whichs pertty good!) and he said, "no". I asked, "How then could i know if i need a 'solution' if i dont know what is in the water, it could be harmless or even beneficial. At this point the salesperson, Tracy, got aggressive with their sales pitch. "Oh your an engineer, how could an engineer want poop in their water". He scraped his shoe at some point in the interaction to try and suggest that the disolved solids in my water were poo poo. First, cities are required to keeps pipes pressurized greater than the outside pressure so that if there is a leak, it goes outward. Pretty efficent, not perfect but its extremely unlikely that there is poo poo in your water at any harmable amount. His last comment was extremely aggressive in tone and also just a really bad way to try and get anyone to buy anything. I asked him to then leave and he did so and was pretty respectful after that. All that to say, do not do anything through this company. They're trying to hide under the guise of being the city (they wont say it but they will use "they" a lot). Don't let them intimidate you or your wife (how f'd up is that). If you have been affected by this and beleive it is a scam you have every right to report them to the FTC for being fradulent, contact the consumer protection division, and/or send a message to your local city provider and tell them what occured.

He informed us that we would need to have the evaporator coil replaced. He said he would work up an estimate and call us later. When he called he informed us that the evaporator coil was still under warranty. He checked on the warranty without us asking. We paid for the labor and the refrigerant but not the evaporator coil. He saved us several thousand dollars. A day later the AC stopped working again and we called him back to see what was wrong. He explained that a capillary tube was leaking and that caused the refrigerant to leak out. He made the repair and told us that there was no charge for the repair because he said it could have possibly been done during the installation of the evaporator coil. Tommy Quick's integrity and honesty is exceptional. I have already recommended him to some of the people I work with and will continue to recommend him. Quick Heating and Air will be my first call when I have any issues with my heating and air.
