We rented for 1 week Saturday 1pm to Saturday 1pm) because we weren't sure when her car repair was going to be completed. The rental process was easy, booked online and then, go pick the car up. When we arrived there were 2 employees working the desk with customers, but we were greeted and told they will be with us once they finished working with current customers. Once they confirmed our reservation, we were taken out to the car, did the walk around, signed the rental agreement and paid for the car. They charge a $300 deposit which they will refund nice you return the car. The car was clean, but did not have a full tank of gas (only around 1/3 tank), but was told to return with that amount of gas. When we got home, my wife noticed that there was a keyfob for another car in the center console storage (we had rented Toyota Corolla and the found keyfob was for a Volkswagen Jetta). My wife's car repair was completed on Wednesday, so she returned the car around 5pm. She had read on their website that we would only be charged for the days rented and she also called to confirm that policy, but when she returned the car, she was told that she will still be charged the full amount of 1 week's rental because she returned it after 1pm (rented on Saturday 1pm, now Wednesday 5pm), so it would be considered a 5 day rental and after 4 days they need to charge a full week's rental charge. Well she was not told that when she called and nowhere on Enterprise's website did it state that. My wife does not like to argue, so she just left as she needed to go pick up her car at the dealer before 6pm. I feel that is very sketchy business practice! Next time we need a rental car, I will just go to Hertz just down the road as I have rented there before a few times without any issues. You may want to do the same thing as Enterprise at this location seems to have sketchy business practices. The Enterprise in Vacaville is very well run and seems to be much more honest!

Fast forward to 2/17/26, and I get a text reminder for my reservation for 2/19/26 ... HELLOOOOOOOO.. I DON'T HAVE A RESERVATION WITH YOU FOR TODAY OR ANY OTHER DAY. M'Kayyyyy... so I called the 2101 N. TEXAS Fairfield location just now to get to the bottom of this (has to be a mixup). I dial the number and immediately get placed on hold. Surely they are busy, but not too busy to even say 'Helllo'. This store had me on hold for 20 minutes (and it would have been longer, but I hung up a second time to fire off this review). BUT LETS GO BACK... While on hold, someone inside the store occasionally picked up the phone line every 58 seconds (to protect their 1minute hold-time metrics for average call handling... you care more about LOOKING productive than answering the phone??? GTFOH), but they never once said 'hold please' or 'I'll be with you in just a moment'; no, they just picked up the phone (for just a split second... and yes, I heard the office noise each time, then they immediately placed me right back on hold (no warning, no nothing). WOWWWWWW... SO THIS IS WHAT YOU ALL DO, YOU SCHEDULE RESERVATIONS WITHOUT CUSTOMER APPROVAL??? I AM SO THANKFUL I DIDN'T PROVIDE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ... HELL, I NEVER EVEN SAID I WOULD CALL YOUR LOCATION BACK... I only called and checked pricing! ***TO THE MANAGER OF THAT STORE ... I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I WILL N-E-V-E-R RENT A CAR FROM YOUR LOCATION*** And to think ... Enterprise used to be a respected company that cared about its potential customers and company reputation. This is SAD!!! Now, if I ever did decide to utilize your rental services in the future (which I am certain I won't), it will look like I skipped out on a reservation.... and my call that day was not even for a reservation, I only called to ask what cars they had and if you offered discounts to AAA members (THAT'S IT). I am Happy I never had a reservation... and guess what... I never will!

There was just above half a tank, and the smell of smoke and weed was so strong, it almost knocked me out. There were used paper/plastic cups in the back seats and back of the van, not to mention the long line I waited in as a "preferred Avis Member" due to the shortage of cars. I have rented with them over the past 8 years, countless times, with no problems until this one. When leaving the airport with the rental, we advised the Avis employee at the gate of the issues we were faced with (smell, trash, and between half and a third tank of gas. The employee said she would document this. We took her at her word as she is an employee with Avis. So much for that. Apparently, there was no documentation at all regarding the issues we had! Today, I received a letter from Avis telling me that they are charging me $450.00 for cleaning because it was not clean! I have never had even 1 issue with the return of any rented vehicle/ I don't smoke cigarettes or weed! This is absolutely unacceptable! They got their vehicle back way cleaner than when we picked up the van.

He made a stressful time (having my catalytic converter stolen for the THIRD time!) that much easier to deal with because, yay! There are still good people in the world. He has worked there for a while and it sounds like it can be a stressful and even dangerous job, to say the least. So can we all try to be nicer to employees? I made a reservation with Hertz for pickup on 04/20/26 at 12:00 PM. Hertz gives customers a…read moretwo-hour window to pick up reserved vehicles, so I arrived well within that timeframe. When we got there, the front door was locked, and we were told through the window that there were no vehicles available. An employee I have rented from many times asked to see my reservation, which I showed him on my phone. He stated that he had already informed the third-party booking company that there were no vehicles available. However, no one from Hertz contacted me to let me know my reservation could not be honored. I then noticed at least 20 vehicles parked in the back and behind a fence and recorded them on my phone. When I asked about those vehicles, I was told they were all reserved. I explained that this situation was costing me a significant amount of money and creating a major inconvenience. Instead of showing professionalism or empathy, the front office employee laughed at me and said, "That's why you aren't getting a car." He was correct -- I did not get a rental car from Hertz that day, despite having a confirmed reservation. I have been a loyal customer for years, but after this experience and the way I was treated, I will NEVER rent from this location or any Hertz again.

While there is never really a positive aspect of needing to get collision work done and worrying about how bad it could look afterwards, the reason I went out of my way to drive an hour to Fairfield was because he did similar excellent work on my 2007 Corvette over 14 years ago. As soon as it happened this time (idiot teenage son of my neighbor backed into the car and was about to drive away) I immediately told the insurance company that George was the only person I wanted working on it. After calling to tell him about the accident, he said he was backed up at the moment but would be able to squeeze me in since I was a repeat customer. He also surprised me by remembering the exact details of my Corvette from all those years ago. He got the repair done very promptly and sent me progress pictures along the way so I could see how it was coming along. I was also kept in the loop with regards to him communicating to both the appraisal and insurance companies. The driver's door was what got damaged and although it would have been quicker for him to probably order a new door, he took the time to fix it knowing the car would hold its value better with all the original parts. He also managed to limit the amount of painting that was required to just the fender and half of the door by blending it. I was skeptical at first about having blended paintwork but as you can see from the pictures you can't tell the difference. Additionally, he made sure that both the color and texture of the replacement paint matched the factory paint which is something I don't believe most shops care about or even know how to do. The car hadn't been waxed or polished in some time so I was worried about getting it back with only a couple panels that were shiny and the rest, not so much. No problem thanks to George as he gave me a great deal on detailing and polishing the entire car so the whole thing looks as good as shown in the pictures. Hopefully I won't need his services again anytime soon, but I would absolutely go back again as I would highly recommend him.
