He made a stressful time (having my catalytic converter stolen for the THIRD time!) that much easier to deal with because, yay! There are still good people in the world. I made a reservation with Hertz for pickup on 04/20/26 at 12:00 PM. Hertz gives customers a…read moretwo-hour window to pick up reserved vehicles, so I arrived well within that timeframe. When we got there, the front door was locked, and we were told through the window that there were no vehicles available. An employee I have rented from many times asked to see my reservation, which I showed him on my phone. He stated that he had already informed the third-party booking company that there were no vehicles available. However, no one from Hertz contacted me to let me know my reservation could not be honored. I then noticed at least 20 vehicles parked in the back and behind a fence and recorded them on my phone. When I asked about those vehicles, I was told they were all reserved. I explained that this situation was costing me a significant amount of money and creating a major inconvenience. Instead of showing professionalism or empathy, the front office employee laughed at me and said, "That's why you aren't getting a car." He was correct -- I did not get a rental car from Hertz that day, despite having a confirmed reservation. I have been a loyal customer for years, but after this experience and the way I was treated, I will NEVER rent from this location or any Hertz again.

There was just above half a tank, and the smell of smoke and weed was so strong, it almost knocked me out. There were used paper/plastic cups in the back seats and back of the van, not to mention the long line I waited in as a "preferred Avis Member" due to the shortage of cars. I have rented with them over the past 8 years, countless times, with no problems until this one. When leaving the airport with the rental, we advised the Avis employee at the gate of the issues we were faced with (smell, trash, and between half and a third tank of gas. The employee said she would document this. We took her at her word as she is an employee with Avis. So much for that. Apparently, there was no documentation at all regarding the issues we had! Today, I received a letter from Avis telling me that they are charging me $450.00 for cleaning because it was not clean! I have never had even 1 issue with the return of any rented vehicle/ I don't smoke cigarettes or weed! This is absolutely unacceptable! They got their vehicle back way cleaner than when we picked up the van.

I booked through work so I can't complain about that. When I got here to pick up, if seem like I inconvenience the employee. Then she told me if I got the car dirty to clean it up before returning . I'm driving to reno, of course I will get the car dirty .. Anyways return day comes around and I'm still in reno. Next day tell me why she calls me at 9:49 and tells me that if I return the car by 10 am I won't get charged for another day. Really you expect me to make it in 11 mins?. I didn't really care too much for the extra charges because I'm not paying for it. Yet if I was, it would be nice to know that they where semi flexible. Would I come here on my own? NO. Would I come here for work related stuff yes . Ok she got another star Cuz she found something in the car and returned it .

Well I don't rent from Avis very often.....in fact this may have been only the 4th time I have…read morerented from them in the past 15 years. This particular location was odd because it was inside a Sears Auto Center. The Customer Service Rep we talked to was somewhat pleasant but she reminded me of why I don't do business with Avis on a regular basis. Let me start by saying the only reason we booked this car was because we wanted to have a backup in case my sister-in-law's car was not up to our satisfaction. Well as it turned out it wasn't so we decided to rent a car and the rate was awesome......only $102.00 for a 4 and half day rental. We reserved an intermediate car and were lucky enough to get a brand new Volkswagon Jetta with only 63 miles on it. Now because it was new the agent wanted to make sure we really took care of it and was talking about how there would be a 250.00 charge if the car was returned "Excessively Dirty" I was like what are you talking about it is a RENTAL it doesn't matter how a rental comes back as long it is not damaged or you don't smoke in it etc.....She also said there would be a $10 a gallon charge for gas if we didn't bring it back full. I was thinking who charges that.....because it is usually only a buck or two more than the local area gas stations. So needless to say she was very concerned that with this being a new car that we take care of it.....including having it detailed if it got to dirty. Let me say under no circumstances that I would ever have any RENTAL car detailed. I even had to go back and ask about floor mats and she pretty much gave me a used one for my side and a towel for the passenger side. So it seems to me if she was concerned about the car so much there would have been at least some floor mats for the new carpet in the car. So her response after all of that was well "it is a rental so it will get dirty but anything within in reason is fine" I was like whatever. So again this is why I don't rent from Avis and if I can avoid them I won't be renting from them again unless I get a VERY GOOD rate. Eat, Drink, and be Merry my Friends!!!!!

I had to rent a car here as my car was getting a major warranty recall worked on that was going to take a week or so. I had booked the car online Monday night and picked it up on Tuesday morning at 8am (hours are 8am-6pm). Michaela, Rachel and another lady that I encountered there were super friendly and very efficient. I had initially paid for the car out of pocket, but later in the day, the dealership where my car was getting serviced approved a rental car, so I got a call from Rachel and was told that she will change the account to being paid for by my dealer and they will refund my card once I return the car. When I returned the car the following Monday, was told that my initial charges and deposit for the car will be refunded as I was told on the phone. I needed a ride back to the dealership and was offered a free shuttle service to the dealership to pick up my car. This is probably once of the best experiences I have had at a rental car company. I will definitely be back the next time I need a rental car. I hope the group of ladies are still around the next time as they really made the experience nice!
