This is the location I rent most of my cars from. I can usually get a car at a moment's notice and can usually find a coupon. I was even given an upgrade, once because I was willing to take a car that hadn't been vacuumed or washed (I was planning to have two toddlers in it, so it was bound to get dirty, anyway). I can get in and out pretty quickly, except on a Monday morning. Another time, I forgot to fill up the tank and they called me to come back to fill it up, instead of immediately charging me. Do not waste your time here. I showed up to pick up the car I reserved online and no one was inside. Walked out and looked around and found a sign on the door saying to call one of two numbers for help. Started dialing one of the numbers when I saw a man had showed up behind the counter and was just staring at me. I walked back in and told him tha I was here to pick up my rental, and he said "No. I have no cars. And there are 7 people front of you." I'm sure it wasn't his fault, and this clearly happens a lot so I'm sure he is fed up with his management, but he could have thrown me a "sorry" or even a smile. I booked a car at the Galbraith Road Avis, but they didn't have the vehicle I reserved and sent me to the Sharonville location. Their staff told me to adjust the pickup time in the app so we wouldn't be charged for arriving outside the original window. That one change--made only because Avis didn't have the car--caused the system to reprice the entire rental at more than double the original estimate. When we returned to Galbraith Road to sort out the billing issue, the employee (Tiffany) immediately became hostile. She raised her voice, talked over us, and wouldn't let us explain what happened. The interaction escalated for no reason, and it was impossible to communicate with her. We then contacted the Sharonville manager and Avis customer service. They were polite, but the explanation we were given didn't match the charges on the invoice, and no one could correct the rate. After several calls, customer service finally issued a $150 courtesy credit, which we appreciated, but it didn't solve the underlying problem. The whole situation started because Avis didn't have the reserved vehicle, instructed us to modify the pickup time, and then wouldn't correct the rate once the system changed it. Our car was ready faster than what they thought. We took the rental car back after 4 days. We were told no refund because we placed the order online. Terrible experience with this company. first I woke up to finding out a cleaning fee was placed on my account a few weeks later. when I called in to get pictures of what was dirty - the customer car helper LAUGHED when he saw the pictures. He took the charge off due to the car being VERY clean. During this process I found out they documented me returning the vehicle 2 days after I actually did. I would give this company a 0 . I dropped my rental off on the day I was supposed to drop it off at CVG airport . It was the weekend after 4th of July and the garage was crazy . I pulled into the garage and got on the floor , meaning wrong drop off rental floor . The girl that took my car said it's fine all will be good my fault for not getting a receipt . Long story short the rental did not get back to Budget until the next day . Budget charged me my deposit and will not give it back . Never rent a vehicle from budget you will not get what you need and you will be charged even though you return the car early by two days .Reservation for a FULL size car. Asked the lady at the counter for a vehicle that would seat five adult .They gave me a Hyundai Sonata. Went back to the counter and the seating for five adults in this vehicle and was told it five adults. This vehicle would only seat two adults and three small children when I asked for a larger vehicle she told me anything bigger would be an extra $20 a day. We were on a budget so we kept the Hyundai Sonata very uncomfortable five hour ride for three of the adults in our group.. Had a family emergency and had to return three days early. When I called about returning the car early asked about not being charged for the two extra days, the fee for changing the reservation was the same amount as I would've if I kept the car the Full-time. Needless to say I was not going to return the car have them re-rent it and make double on the vehicle.. I understand a small fee for changing the reservation, but the fee for changing the reservation was as much as the two day rental. My first encounter with the manager was in the parking lot, when she yelled at me not to enter the building. She was not wearing anything to identify her as an employee - no name tag or Budget shirt - and I thought she was another customer. literally worst experience ever at CV2 locationo. Galbraith Rd . I arrived prior to them opening by 15 minutes because I had someone drop me off. when the employee arrived he got out his car and asked "why you here so early???? huh just waiting til 9 when you open I didn't even attempt to go in because I assumed it would take a few minutes to set up so I did the online pre registration on my phone standing outside and scrolling... Finally at 9 I approached the desk he stated I had two reservations "which one u want" ummm I prepaid for only one so the one I paid for... he takes my license says it's red u can't rent a car!!! I don't know what means sir please explain in layman's terms...he said the use the same machine homeland security and TSA uses to scan my license and it is red so I can't rent the car...for reference I am a 50 year old RN with no criminal record no points on my license and plenty of background checks. I explained I just flew last weekend and my license was fine with TSA. sooooo he calls someone on his personal phone says it's a boss so I try to explain I just was the airport and it was fine and he said well go back to the airport to get your car the shade. Then I ask for my money back of course it's "call corporate" he steps outside and starts smoking a black and mild in front of the business I leave ride to enterprise and walk in and get a car in 5 minutes with my same license but I'm 40 minutes late for wedding out of town. Had one of the worst experiences of my life renting a car, one of the nastiest managers I have ever had to deal with. The employee was trying to be kind but she kept telling her not to talk. I rented a car online, showed up to get it at 9:12 this morning, and was told they have no cars, that there are no cars anywhere in Cincinnati, and that people have had reservations for over a month. Why did they not communicate this to priceline? Why did they not put a sign on their door indicating no car rentals available? They wait until you pay for an Uber ride to the car rental place to tell you that? So now my entire trip was ruined.. I have to go about trying to get money back from my hotel reservation and from having my cat boarded. Not only that but this woman was rude, caustic, Downright nasty in her attitude. Had no suggestions to offer. The employee was trying to see if I wanted a van for a $120. Where I come from that Is known as bait and switch, A common fraud tactic. Don't deal with these people. They are the rudest most hostile I have ever dealt with from a car rental company in many decades. I've never had this problem, not even once. Make sure before you book with priceline that you call the car rental place 1st and make sure they have cars available. Although when I did the booking they had already closed. It's just hard to fathom because people were returning cars. I'm not even sure the manager was truthful. She had a foul temper from the moment I said hello to her. What a nightmare. We made a reservation for a 12 passenger van weeks in advance, received several confirmation emails as well as called and confirmed 3 times. When we arrived to pick up the van, we were told that they did not have one available for us and would call us when they had one. They did not know when that would be though. Never received a phone call. Customer service was extremely poor, the gentleman at the front desk was no help with finding a replacement or working at all. Gave us the owners number, and she has yet to answer a phone call or call back, and have left voicemails. Again, DO NOT use. We will never be using budget or Avis ever again. Every time I make a reservation online @ this specific budget, I always encounter problems like them not opening on time (40 minutes late), not having any cars or just nasty customer service from the staff. I play by the 3 strikes & you're out rule....and this was Budgets last strike with me. I used to use them all the time due to traveling a lot with my job & for leisure. I mainly used the one down town on 4th street which had NEVER done me wrong. Even gave me free upgrades due to renting from them so much. But this one on Galbraith rd in Reading is TRASH!!! The parking lot even looks trashy. Then when you call customs service it's some foreigner who can barely speak English so you can barely understand what they're saying but they don't help either so I'M DONE. Car smelled like smoke and was dirty. Thought I could cope, but decided to exchange it in Columbus while on business. Exchange was easy, however upon returning car to location, an upgrade fee and late fee were assessed. I did not request an upgrade and I did not return the car late. There was a kid at the desk who could not correct the charges and told me I had to call his manager tomorrow. I found this unacceptable, called customer service and was told by the rep who could barely speak English and called me by the wrong name that they could not assist for 48 hours. Terrible customer service. I arrived with a confirmation number and insurance prepaid and was denied a car because they were out of Mid-size vehicles. The employees then claimed I failed a credit check with Equifax (I have since checked with equifax and there is no problem with my credit score). The associates behind the counter were rude, dismissive, and even ridiculed me in front of other customers. I approached the owner later with concerns they were brushed off. The owner even went so far as to tell me that not only would he not try to resolve my problem, but that he would personally decline me if I attempted to rent from his location again. One quote from him that stood out to me is "I don't have time to care about individual customers; I have money to make and you're wasting my time...This is the most successful rental car location in Cincinnati." It is my distinct opinion that this particular location should be avoided at all costs. read more

Rented a car with Budget via Costco Travel for May 13. We called about coming early for pick up and the man on the phone said that it would be fine. When we arrived, not only was a car unavailable at that time, they said they wouldn't have anything available until 4 or not at all. We called Budget to see if there was anything we could do, they were less than helpful and said that I would have to contact Costco Travel. In contacting Costco Travel, we had to wait until they finally found a vehicle that would be available that day at the airport with Alamo. The agent on the phone assured me that we would be reimbursed for our trouble the difference in cost. Came home and it has been denied! Why these companies would partner together and have such a terrible lack of communication is beyond me. i would prefer to rent with National and or Enterprise as we do quite a bit of travel and have never had a problem with them. This was our first and last time using Costco Travel and Budget. Do not recommend either! read more
