Lies and frustration. This is what you will get if you rent from this company. My rep TJ was friendly and responded when I had questions,m. I went back and forth with him for a couple of days prior to ordering through this company - his responsiveness is what sealed the deal for me. I see now that was just a sales tactic. I kid you not, after my credit card was swiped- he was no where to be found. Never picked up and didn't return calls. Our dumpster was almost delivered on the wrong day - I got a call and had to tell them they had the wrong day. It wasn't picked up until THREE days later. Despite having scheduled the pick up day at the time of purchase. Problem with this is that I had to get a permit for it and I paid through the day it was suppose to be picked up. Had to take time off work and rush to my town hall to extend permit and purchase many more unnecessary days because get this- the supervisor John Raining literally told he can't make the truck pick up my dumpster. What??? That's what your whole business is about dropping off and picking up dumpsters. I spoke to at least 6 different supervisors, they would put me on hold and each time not a single person could explain why the dumpster wasn't picked up OR more importantly when it would be. Supervisor Hailey said she'd work on it and give me a call back - never did. They then began telling me they couldn't get in contact with the truck drivers- wait! what? You can't get in contact with your own employees? How's is that possible? I was so frustrated I started to do some digging- well this company doesn't use its own trucks and dumpsters for areas outside of their "area" they just take your money and don't control the dumpster pick up or drop off. And worst of all is the employees are so use to this frustration with customers they do not care at all. They say all the right stuff, we're so sorry, we're working on this, we'll get this worked out etc. but they don't fix anything and you are sent on an endless transfer from one "supervisor" to the next all of whom do nothing. I have never rented a dumpster before, and I explained where I wanted the dumpster. The person on the phone looked up the business address for which I needed the dumpster. I explained there was an alley that normal sized trucks (not industrial size) and sedans use to access the parking lot since that is where we and our business patrons park our cars/trucks. Yesterday they came with the dumpster, and they came in an industrial sized truck. The truck driver attempted to back into the alley but stopped short because the mirrors of the truck were too wide for the alley. They charged me $150 for a failure on their part to warn me that they would come with an industrial size truck that was wider than most alleys. read more

Firstly, there is no estimated time given for drop off. They are clear about that on their contract, but it is still inconvenient. Secondly, after getting a larger dumpster than recommended for a bathroom reno, several weeks after pick up I was charged an additional $180 for being overweight, no proof, nothing for weeks until I received the email that they had already charged my credit card. It was a small bathroom and somehow we were supposed to have put in triple the allowable weight. What a scam. I will be contacting the better business bureau. read more

I would never use this company again. I scheduled a 10 yard dumpster for delivery for my kitchen project but the demo was far more extensive and took longer than anticipated because we had to replace the entire subfloor. I called and pushed the date back by two weeks and increased the size. The company sent a confirmation then delivered the smaller dumpster on the original date anyway. I had to pay extra to expedite the demo and to get labor to fill the dumpster I was not expecting for another two weeks. read more

I should have known very early on to move on to a different company but I wanted to get a job done quickly. I should have read all the other reviews. Their customer service is horrible. I waited for a call back for hours. They finally emailed me at 9pm saying they called and a woman with a baby was unable to transfer the phone. I am a single male! Just flat out lies. TL;DR This company is just an incompetent, unprofessional middle-man that delayed our project, wasted a driver's time, and then stole our money. We arranged for a dumpster delivery on the street in front of our building and specifically asked how much parking space we would need to reserve for it. The phone representative told me that 2 car lengths plus an adjacent fire hydrant would be "more than enough." So, we reserved the two spaces with our vehicles. Around 10am the next day another rep called to say the driver needed a place to put the container. We were supposed to get a call when the driver was en route, but he was already waiting outside. After we moved our cars, clearing the agreed upon space, the driver said that it wouldn't fit. We would need to find the owner of a third car that needed to be moved. The driver was unwilling to wait around while we tried to find a solution and he left without delivering the dumpster. About 5 minutes later, a kind neighbor came out and said that her husband was the owner of the third car, she couldn't drive, but we were welcome to move it. We tried to contact the driver right away, and get him to come back, as he couldn't have been far away at that point. Unfortunately this is not a local company, and we were bounced around some national call center, put on hold, asked by three different reps for the same basic information including "what state are you in?" It took over an hour to get "dispatch" to tell us that the driver was gone, and we couldn't get our dumpster until the following day. We were frustrated that the timing of our project was ruined. To add insult to injury, we were then informed by another phone rep about a $150 trip fee that they had already charged to my credit card. Justification for this fee was that they were unable to deliver the dumpster through "no fault of their own." Even after I explained that it was their fault that they couldn't deliver it, since we provided the agreed-upon space for the dumpster, they wouldn't waive the fee. After a day-long headache dealing with this company, a supervisor finally offered to refund half of the fee, acknowledging a "slight miscommunication" about the space required. He also made the excuse that they use different equipment in different areas, and there's no way for them to know for sure if their dumpsters will fit in a certain space. My response was that, if anything, they should be offering us a discount to compensate for their mistake. I asked for a full refund of the fee and suggested we try again the next day with a clean slate. He refused, so I'll be leaving this review everywhere, and disputing the charge with my bank to try to recoup the rest of my money. The company we are now using for this project looked closely at google street view before booking the delivery, to confirm they could fit a dumpster on our street. read more

I had 1 dumpster filled a little less then 1/2 and they tried saying it was 10+ tons and when I told him I wanted to see the ticket where it showed 10+ tons he dodged my question. 2 dumpster later I figured they might of made a mistake and a week later when I was done with there service they hit me with all these overage fees and just now a month later I got another one. This is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. There is a TLDR at bottom.  I fully acknowledge that part of this could have been avoided if I had not assumed that they would know I would need a street permit for a dumpster in the south side of Chicago. I am, however, extremely unsatisfied with the way everything was handled after the initial call. 1. Dumpster was not delivered on the day promised and I received no call or any type of communication as to why. Arrived the following day close to noon and was immediately taken away without making any effort to see if it could have been placed anywhere else on the property. 2. I call to find out what happened and I am placed on hold for over an hour. As soon as I get a hold of someone, the call drops. I immediately call back and am placed on hold for another hour. They tell me I am now responsible for paying an additional $150 trip fee, plus a permit fee, which they tell me is my responsibility to obtain. I tell them I can't obtain a permit without a dumpster license and after enough back and forth they agree to get one for me at my expense and agree to reduce the $150 fee to $75. They tell me the dumpster will arrive on Monday. 3. Monday comes, no dumpster. I get a call this time, though, to tell me it will be out the next day and I will get it for the following 3 days. Contractor shows up the following morning, no dumpster. Goes to work on another project of ours and returns the following day to find the dumpster there so he plans to return on the third day and dedicate the entire day to removing the waste. He shows up at 8 in the morning and an hour and a half later the dumpster is being removed. 4. I call back and am placed on hold for another hour. Finally get a hold of someone and am told they are looking into the situation. After waiting a long time again, I am told that it had been explained to me that there would be no warning about the pick up of the dumpster and there is nothing they can do because the third day was up even though it was clear that it hadn't even been a full 2 days. TLDR: Did not show up when promised, twice. Did not honor the full 3 days on a 3 day permit. Kept me on hold for over 3 hours only to be told that it was my fault and nothing would be done. I paid nearly $700 for an hour and a half of use of a 20 yard dumpster and still have waste that needs to be disposed of. read more

We had a dumpster delivered to our house and the pickup date was scheduled and confirmed via email for Aug 2nd, and they ended up picking it up on July 27th even though we were not done with it. When we called to complain they refused to send another dumpster on them and would only give us a $50 credit and the man was rude. Would NOT recommend!!!!! read more

No complaints from me. They arrived an hour or two late but with a 7 day rental period that was not particularly impactful. Got a 30 yard dumpster and managed to mostly fill it. It is not rocket science to use these but you should probably plan a day or two ahead of time to schedule pick up; i called Friday hoping for same day pick up and they were not able to get it until Monday. No big deal, I should have planned it ahead of time. Overall they were courteous and helpful, would do business with them again. read more

What they tell you on the phone is not what happens when they drop off the dumpster. The driver apparently will just put it wherever he wants ignoring any and all instruction, regardless of the space available. They put my dumpster next to a giant tree, facing the wrong way, and no where near where I asked for it to be placed. I called to get these errors corrected and was told it will cost me more money to correct. The only response is that drivers do the best they can. Clearly they don't, because in what world is putting a dumpster backwards and blocked by a tree the best they can do. When I assumed I was going to get some refund for the extra hassle I was now experiencing, and the fact I was lied to on the phone, I was all but laughed at. Avoid these scammers at all cost. On a job site with the doors open. I did miss the calls because of the noise, but anyone with some common sense would of knocked or walked into the job site and asked about the truck. Called on a Friday at about 1 to rent a 15 yard dumspter to clean out my grandfathers house (which we live far from) we were told it was to late in the day to recieve the order and they could get it to us no sooner then Monday between 6am and 6 pm... It is now Monday and we called to see if they could give us any possible eta since we live an hour from where the dumpster is being dropped off at the woman said she would contact the dispatcher and give us a call right back it has been 3 hours and we still have not gotten a call back....I am not happy to have to sit and continue to wait for this delivery with a 12 hr waiting period and the price is $359 for 10 day rental read more

I was happy with Budget Dumpster until they picked up my dumpster 4 days early without my asking them to. I called and got bounced around between 6 people with no answer to why they took 4 days away from me. At $38.10 a day, I asked for a refund of $152.40. 5 of the employees I spoke to said they could only give me $130.00. I wasn't happy with that since I had friends take a day off of work. The last person who was to help me said she had to listen to my recorded conversation. After 3 hours waiting I called them back and she said I could only get $75.00 back, and would have to listen to my 5 other recorded conversations since she didn't believe her 5 other employees offered me $130.00. I am beginning to think Budget makes its money off of the $150 "dry run" fees, and not on dumpster rentals. I was to receive a call PRIOR to arrival since I am 10 minutes from the drop site. I received a call when the dumpster was AT the drop site (prior to business start at 7:30 am). Since I was on a call, it went to voicemail, and I called back in about 10 minutes. The customer service agent said they would contact dispatch and call me back. Note that the truck could not have been more than 10 minutes from the drop site. I received the call back a full HOUR later, and was told I would be charged $150. They could have turned the truck around and made the drop 15 minutes later. By the way, their hours are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm - but NOWHERE do they say they can deliver the dumnpster as early as 6:00 am - and without a prior call when in route. A Budget Dumpster supervisor was "kind" enough to credit back the dumpster change (I cancelled the dumpster), but then charged me a "discounted" $75. This is absurd. My crew showed up at 8:00 to start work - and no dumpster, so "Budget" dumpster cost me a lot more than the $150. Do NOT use Budget Dumpster - there are many other dumpster rental shops that may charge $20 or $50 more, but they will contact you IN ADVANCE, and cost less in the long run. read more

Absolutely DREADFUL! I informed the service to leave room to enter the house on a 50Ft driveway. They delivered the dumpster at the front of the house leaving me to carry heavy furniture and 25+ contractor bags of garbage basically from the back to the front of the house. The dumpster they did leave was almost falling apart, with an actual plant growing from a hole in the lower front. The dumpster had at least 100+ pounds of loose and compacted dirt/trash in it which smelled of fecal debris and I could barley and with extreme effort engage the locking hooks on the door. I recommend you go with ANY other service and pay the roughly $50 you might save. read more

My father recently pass away. I needed to bulk toss a bunch of stuff and thought I'd look online. Sure enough, Budget Dumpster Rental came up and I read through some of the reviews. Fairly simple. I called up and spoke to a rep. named Jake. He explained thoroughly what COULD and COULDN'T be thrown away, how long I had the dumpster for, how much weight could be placed in there, etc. etc. I asked if it could be delivered the next day, and he said that would not be a problem. The next day, the dumpster was delivered around 10:30 a.m. Perfect time. I started loading it and pretty much filled it with dad's stuff that we no longer had use for and other items from the garage. It ended up only taking a few hours to fill! So, I called Jake back to schedule a pick up the NEXT DAY. He transferred me to Kate, and she said that they would pick it up next day. Sure enough, I went outside this morning, and the dumpster was already GONE at 7:00 a.m. Talk about PROMPT! I expected a late morning/early afternoon pick up, since I called around 3:00 p.m. the day before. All in all, I couldn't be more impressed with the prompt service, thoroughness of the CR's and how smooth the process went. I've read other reviews and I'm kind of baffled at the situations of some of the people who complained. It could be because of different areas, but the Phoenix Metro Budget Dumpster branch couldn't have been more easy to work with. I would definitely use this company again. read more

Best deal I could find in San Diego. Customer Service was really good. The drop off/ pick up times are anytime between 6am & 6pm. That was my only concern. We needed a dumpster before Thanksgiving and I wanted to make sure it was delivered. I figured it would be dropped off sometime while I was at work on Wednesday. I got home around 3, and it wasn't there. I called and got a hold of someone right away who confirmed my delivery. The dumpster was dropped off around 4:30pm. You will need to reserve the dumpster three days in advance. Also, if you don't have a driveway to put it and you need to put it on the street, you need to get a permit through the city in advance. You also need to allow for 5ft on both ends of the dumpster and can't block your sidewalk. The 15' was just right for our remodel. We removed carpet and tile throughout our 1000sf home and took out a 15' wall. We a little room to spare for some other junk. Another minor issue to be aware of. If you want the dumpster parked on you sloped driveway, have some 2x4 or something to put in front of the wheels on the dumpster. Luckily we had some lying around -- the driver didn't supply. Pick up was easy. Remember you have to schedule the pick up 3 days in advance though. They came and took the dumpster while I was at work. read more
