Sometimes you just want to be in and out (because, you know... you've literally got somewhere to be), and other times you might want to have a long conversation about Doctor Who because the nice lady behind the desk noticed your phone case :) They seem to have a 6th sense for how much conversation an introvert like myself is prepared to have. They're always straightforward with the terms and have never tried to upcharge me or dock me for running a little late/early. The vehicles are always clean and run very well, and I feel very safe leaving my personal vehicle there for the duration of my contract. I'm glad that they are the closest ones to me because I'll be seeing them a lot! At the time of this review I think i've used them 6 times in 3 months. No complaints here!

The sales office was helpful to get the transaction completed. However, when Hertz gets their money, there is absolutely ZERO contact. Try calling the sales office...goes to voicemail whose inbox is full. Try emailing agents...ghosted. I had to resort to writing a google script which would send an email every hour to ask for the paperwork to finally close the sale and get my temp tags and registration. In the meantime, until the sale was closed, I was getting charged $100 every day that the rental wasn't either returned or officially purchased. To the credit of the sales office, they did eventually respond and sent the paperwork. I am still bewildered at how I managed to fill out a purchase order and wire money, only to be sent the EXACT SAME purchase order electronically days later electronically. At this point I already wired the money and thought the contract was signed. Overall very pleased with my purchase, but not pleased at all with the sales office in Cincinnati. Future purchases from Hertz will avoid this office.

Another couple in an old van also arrived at the same time we did stating that they had reservations to pick up on Saturday. Website hours stated that they were open on Saturday starting June 18. Sign on window stated they were open on Saturdays. Google stated that they were open on Saturday. But on a piece of paper taped up sign on the door said they were closed on Saturdays. I did the online check-in ahead of time, never received a call or any contact stating that they were closed and that we wouldn't be able to pick up our rental, and I continued to receive confirmation emails about our Saturday 9 AM pick up Rental. We were very fortunate to have a car that we could take on vacation, but the couple in the van next to us did not. I called customer service and spent every bit of 45 minutes online with them while they tried to find another car for us, to no avail. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with renting a car. If I could give HERTZ a negative 100 star rating, I surely would. Nothing was offered aside from refunding our money. It was just like a shoulder shrug... Sorry we are closed guess you'll have to figure it out on your own. Just for curiosity's sake, I tried to make another reservation on a Saturday and had no issue doing so even though they are apparently closed on Saturdays. However, with car salesman(women) and dealerships I am all in for stereotypes. I trust no one. 1st- There is NO HAGGLING. If you want to call it their gimmick so be it. It's politely and respectfully stated. Here's the car, this is your final price (taxes, etc.) for you to drive it home. 2nd- I paid cash, there was no push to get me into a loan. 3rd- No upselling. They ask if you'd like to hear about an extended warranty. I did. They told me. No bs price. Here's the warranty. You don't get anything else. No "here's a free mug if you buy the warranty." Simple. I took a pen though. It didn't have their name on it. It's not even an upsell- I just took it. 4th- I test drove it. Didn't like it. Drove another under no pressure. "Take it out for a while." That's your time frame "a while." The first test drive (first experience) it went to the shop. 90 minutes. They said price was solid, so was the car. 5th- Salesman. Great guy, James N. Not sure if I can give you his last name. We talked about the car a lot. Cool. Then we shot the s#@t about other stuff. GREAT guy. If he was an ass I still would have bought the car. Buy a car from him or just hang out. If you want call that a gimmick. 6th- The cars- research why rental companies sell cars at the 25- 30k mark. Easier to sell a car at 3oK miles than 40K miles. They want to keep the rental stock fresh. I don't like renting a 50 mile car that's 3 years old anymore than you do. 7th- The warranty that comes with the car is great. Look at the fine print- no b.s. Great. Look at most used car warranties. READ them. Deductibles and restrictions abound. READ the fine print. READ. 8th- My car had 3/4 tank of gas. Would have liked a full tank but I stole a pen so whatever. 9th- You have to PAY for the car. Only catch. Steal a pen- not the car. 10th. Longest Yelp review ever. I rented a car to go on vacation with my family of 4. We rented a "full-size" car, meaning a Camry…read moreor similar. We get to pickup the car and its a "Hyundai Kona". This was the biggest POS I have ever driven and will NEVER drive another Hyundai again. It didn't have enough room inside for My wife, 2 kids and I. Our luggage had to be cut down by half just to get it in the back, which means we had to do laundry 3 times during our vacation! The POS wouldn't go up hills very well and wouldn't hold the cruise control at all.... sometimes it was 4-5mph below, sometimes up to 7mph over the setpoint! And with this lack of power you would think the turd would get decent gas mileage, but NO - it averaged ONLY 22mpg! LOL, my full sized truck with a 400hp engine gets that in the city! We paid over $400 for 5 days and we didn't get our moneys worth at all! NO MORE BUDGET!
