I took my car in to get brakes of course and they tell me that the rotors and brakes needed to be replaced over $1,100 spent the brakes squeak constantly and are not even to a standard. They did lube the joints on the brakes. They squeak all the time. The service was absolutely horrible. I even took it back after finding a vice grip still attached to my lower control arm. Fast service, low prices, but rude staff. Service manager Timothy McGugin is very cocky and arrogant. Initial visit confirmed that I would not use their services again, but I had to, because my SUV started making clunking noises upon stopping. Upon returning (Tim) acted as if he didn't know who I was when I had only left less than one week ago. (He's not good with faces.) Says he works on lots of cars... smugly. His attitude when presented with a problem says a LOT about how they do business at Budget Brakes Airport. Told him I would like for him to take a test drive with me and he just looked at me and stuck out his hand for my keys. Top notch customer service skills you will not find. Brought my vehicle back due to noise that began after I visited this shop. He diagnosed it as a problem with my suspension system because as he puts it, "we don't do suspensions". Told me that the sound was common with front wheel drive vehicles having suspension problems. My SUV is all wheel drive btw. I will now have to let Nissan sort out the problem. Whether BB's work is the source of the problem I do not yet know, but the staff was unprofessional when faced with a potential problem none the less. Avoid this place regardless of the low prices because they will lie to you and tell you that you need parts that you really don't in order to up sell you. I was told that my brake hardware needed to be replaced because it was corroded. Upon inspection I found no such corrosion and denied the work. The small print in their warranty says that if you deny any of their "suggested" repairs then they can void your warranty. I've done numerous brake jobs and also suspension work and the service manager spoke to me as if no customer could ever have greater or equal knowledge than he about brake work and that his intellect was far superior in each and every way. Firestone is right across the street and a MUCH better company in my opinion as for service quality. There is a reason that a business is as slow as Budget Brakes Airport. Rethink. read more

I came to this location about 2-3 weeks ago, because my husband's brakes were scrubbing. I got there at 10am and waited until after 2pm for them to check what was actually wrong and quote me. I don't remember what the guys names were, but they quoted me over $700 to fix all 4 brakes and rotors and stated that I need to replace the axel on the car's driver side. WRONG! This is where I knew they were ripping me off because we got into a car accident last year and the axel was replaced. So I left and went to Mavis tire and brakes, they stated I only needed to replace the rear brakes and rotors; more importantly they told me that nothing was wrong with the axel. My husband spent a little over $400 for the rear brakes and rotors at Mavis. We will NEVER come to this location nor deal with this business again. read more

I wish I could give a zero 384.00 wasted. Upon leaving I lost my wheel cover . I had the same vehichle with the original parts on my 09 ford ranger never lost anything until BB did my brakes and rotors. I should have left after one customer sitting next to me said he had to bring his vehicle back at least 3 times.THE wait time was over 2 hrs I will neverrrrrrrrrrrrr go back nor recommend BB. Beware!!! Do not use this place. While traveling to mobile I stopped in to get the $89.00 brake special, what a mistake. They called me 30 minutes later to tell me that I needed $1100.00 with of work done. I was told that both calipers were seized up and inoperable. I was also told that the rotors were not salvageable. Since the brakes were barley grinding when i pulled in I did could not believe it. Once I told them I could not pay that much my calipers started working again? And I just needed rotors and brakes at a crazy price.. after a few minutes of being taken up and down the price ladder i took my business down the street to Hillcrest Automotive( great People) they fixed the brakes for 182.00 not 1100.00. No stars. Very ticked off. Paid 245.00 to have front pads changed out and rotors turned. Car acted up from the time I left and since I had front done we thought it was my back pads acting up. So we changed those out along with rotors and car still shimmied when applying breaks so we knew it had to be the front. We didnt take my car back there because I did not want them messing it up any more than it was so we went and bought rotors and put them on ourselves and the car stopped shimmying when applying breaks. I dont know what those people did to my rotors but they ruined them somehow. So 245.00 dollars turned into another 77.00 dollars to buy rotors! I do not recommend this place at all read more

I feel into the trap. I called the store and the guy said "Oh yeah, about $89". My wife's 4 runner had suddenly started grinding up front and after dropping it off $89 tuned into $700 for all 4 wheels. I let them do the front for $400 and that was painful. They are a franchise trying to maximize profits without regard for their "Budget Brakes" name. It's a set-up and a rip-off joint. They won't be doing any repeat business and word of mouth may make them die off. Go across the street or anywhere else but to this franchise. read more
