Airport tire came highly recommended by locals. we needed a complete set of tires for our truck We stopped in and the gentlemen were very polite, very busy, knowledgeable, willing to give us estimates on two or three different tires and explain the differences in the quality and characteristics and prices of these tires. They were also willing to answer all my questions! Well done! When we decided on the tires based on their recommendation, with their estimate in hand, we went to our dealership and gave them a chance to suddenly come up with the tires they no longer had, and provide them at a cheaper rate, (note: they did not know that we had an estimate from another location) Not only did they beat airport tires price, but they also provided us with free laser alignment. So, airport Tire did not get our business this time, but they are in a Rolodex now, and we will definitely be contacting them in the future. read more

This is best place in town for tires and services like alignments, brakes, oil changes and suspensions stuff. Bo, the owner, is amazing!! I love the new location on Airport blvd too. Great customer service, reasonable prices and now, easy to find. I had an issue with an alignment they completed and Bo, stayed after hours to ensure everything was taken care of. He took the time to talk to me and was extremely helpful and apologetic. He didn't make me feel rushed and he genuinely concerned about making sure I was comfortable with any decisions made regarding my car. So I spent a few hours here this morning. I came in to get my tires changed and get an oil change. Their prices are very great, but I felt like Bud was the only polite person to give me service. I admit I was confused as I was trying to explain that my husband previously paid for the tires. The woman working the desk checked me out and asked if anything was done besides the tires and oil, I said no and paid for the oil, she thanked me and seemed very genuine. I drive an hour and a half home and thought it was weird that my tires were so dirty. Upon checking, my tires hadn't been changed. My husband called and Bud told him a mistake had been made and apologized. I drove back from MS to the shop, Bud immediately recognizing me, started to get up. His father asked what they could do for me, and I tried to explain what was going on. I'll admit that I was nervous and very anxious because I was in an unfamiliar situation, but again, I felt as if his father treated me like I was stupid. My tires were done in about twenty minutes, and Bud told me the mechanic had made a mistake and hadn't put the tires on originally. Bud was very apologetic and concerned, and he is the only reason I'm leaving two stars instead of one. I understand that Bo might have been having a bad day and I definitely could have been a little clearer with my explanation, but there should be no reason for a customer (one coming in to fix a mistake, at that) should be self conscious and feel belittled. read more

Airport tire has great customer service and knowledgeable people. Their prices are great, and I've never had to wait an inordinate amount of time. I went in for tires on my 05 Honda Element, and I had read great reviews about some Michelin tires. They gave me a price of $700+. A bit too rich for my blood so I asked what was the second best tire. They said Uniroyal Tiger Paws for about 60% of the price of the Michelins. I asked if the Michelins are a 10 on a scale of 1-10, what do the Tiger Paws rate? 9.75 he answered. I bought them, and they are great tires. Plus, they fix flats for free, and will guarantee alignments for 6 months. Great company, and I can't say enough about how completely satisfied I am as a customer of theirs. read more

They were good on the quote, and nice on the phone... However, day of service was another story. They all seemed cranky. This company will assume you want extra work and proceed without communicating. Then when you question it, and the lack of communication, they say "we won't charge you but we will bring it to back and undo what we did" Really? Put more labor hours into undoing something. I just could not believe my ears. This was so unprofessional. He assumed I did not want to pay for it, just because I questioned the communication. This was the owner/manager that said this too. I proceeded to pay for the extra service and received a receipt with description of work done. The paper says they did things such as road test, which they did not, the vehicle never left the garage until it was pulled around. I get in the vehicle, and it pulls hard to the left all the way home. So, the alignment was not even done correctly or tested. I have referred several people to this place in the past, I think that will no longer happen. I will be looking for business elsewhere myself. Character of the company showed hard today, and this is a big thing to me as a business owner myself. My business was not appreciated at all. read more

I have been a patron of Airport Salvage/Tires since my first car in 1970. I've not purchased tires nor had tire repair, rotation,balancing anywhere else in 51 YEARS. However, my last three visits at the new location have been disappointing - today being the worst yet. Wait time has become unacceptable. It was better at the old location where you took a number at the door and they simply did tires. Today I was there for a rotate, balance and check the alignment. I asked that they check the back passenger tire for a slow leak. My vehicle was taken around to a bay (they have SIX) within 5 minutes of arrival......2.5 hours later....after watching others come and go... I was told they still had not checked the alignment and it would be another 30-45 minutes wait. Apparently I had gone from #6 in line to # 8 or 9?? And oh, by the way, no, they did not check the slow leaking tire either. The clerk was abrupt and rude. I know for a fact I was not the only unhappy customer there today. It was very disappointing but also sad to see the service slip to such a level. I said good by to a fond memory this afternoon. I have no plans to return nor will recommend them in the future. read more
