Terribly disappointing. Went there to buy a special bit for a special type of screw. They said if it didn't fit I could bring it back. Came back 30 minutes later, cause it was the wrong size and changed it for another. Next day I returned a 2nd time cause it was still the wrong size and asked to return it for a refund since they did not have the right size. They wouldn't allow me to return it. I'm out $14.95 for an item that is worthless to me. This very stupid stupid employee who could not even speak a word of English, in spite of claiming he's worked there for 10 years, pointed to a sign on the wall which says, "no returns for tools". I told the cashier, I was promised it could be returned and she was just as stupid as the other employee. She would not talk to me. My advice, stay away from this place. Home Depot or Lowes is a lot cheaper and the employees are honest, friendly and at least they usually speak English (in Miami). Ace Hardware in Miami, just lost my business. What a bunch of second rate losers. If you can't speak or understand Spanish and expect some normal customer service to help you with your hardware issues, don't waste your time going to this place. If you want to be cheated or overcharged, shop here. This is so typical of so many stores in Miami. Lousy service, no one speaks English, tell you one thing and do another, absolutely no consideration for customer satisfaction. Never going to this place again. Recently had a horrible customer service at this store. Be careful of their return policy (within 10 days with receipt only). Manager was rude and condescending when I tried to return a few unused and unopened items (part of a larger order) 12 days after purchase - with the original receipt. Most ACE stores give you 30 days for returns. ACE's prices are higher than big box stores so you would think the customer service would make the difference. I was mistreated by the manager after questioning his return policy which accepts no tool returns. They have a sign placed very high above your head by the registers that no one can see. I was trying to return a painting rod extender which I did not get to use. He told me it was the owner's policy. I asked to speak to the owner and was told the owner is never there. When I told him very politely that this policy was outrageous and that I would make sure to let people I knew be aware about it, he lashed out against me, completely lost his temper and very disrespectfully told me to GET OUT both in English and Spanish, using curse words at times and calling demeaning pronouns. I made sure to go back to ask for explanation for his treatment, all while being extremely calm, this time I recorded to have prove of his abuse and he even tried to force the phone out of my hands and told his employees to call the cops. He proceeded to take video and pictures of my and my car and told me he never wanted to see me there again and almost manually pushed me out of his store. There is no excuse for such incredible mistreatment of costumers when the costumer is making no aggressive remarks and all I demanded was a fair treatment. I believe this person who I was told is the manager is aggressive and dangerous to the public. I have made an official complain with Ace Hardware Corporate Offices and the have opened an investigation on the matter. All I ask is for them to officially apologize in writing for their abusive treatment and to acknowledge their mistake. read more

One of the best hardware stores in Miami - it's the old school good feeling kinda place where they actually have, truly, everything you can possibly want. They actually have a room where you can get any type of bolt, nut or screw you can show them. Very helpful and friendly and there seems to always be more than enough staff to help the people wandering through the store looking through the 10 foot high shelves brimming with merchandise. read more

Don't buy anything from this store. Most of the merchandise is old. They don't take items back even with receipt. Asst store manager Santiago is really rude, horrible customer service. You better off going to Home Depot. read more

This is the rudest hardware store I have ever shopped. I am working on my new condo here and the store manager was so rude from the minute I walked in the store. I've always been faithful to ACE Hardware but I will NEVER step foot at this location again. I just saw who appeared to be a store manager verbally attack one of the employees, cursing him out in front of customers and his coworkers. Completely demoralizing. If the management at this store is careless enough to allow a scene like this to unfold, I can only imagine what else goes on behind closed doors. I have to say that I was very impressed with the knowledgeable and helpful staff that showed me where to find everything I needed, and then explained how to use it. I will go back. This experience was very different from Home Depot or Lowes were it is hard to find a sales person and when you do, they don't know much. read more
