Soon enough, he got on the PA and within a minute, I had two associates there to help me. I asked a few questions and one of the guys was really straightforward and clear about the answers. He was really good about giving me the information I needed....that is one thing about Ace. They do have knowledgeable and friendly people that can assist with any questions. Ace Hardware Corporation is an American hardware retailers' cooperative based in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. It is the world's largest hardware retail cooperative, and the largest non-grocery American retail cooperative. Founded in 1924 as "Ace Stores", the company changed its name to "Ace Hardware Corporation" in 1931. It grew dramatically following World War II, more than tripling its sales between the late 1940s and 1959. After the retirement of longtime president and founder Richard Hesse in 1973, Ace was sold to its retailers, becoming a retailer-owned cooperative. It first reached $1 billion in wholesale sales in 1985 and $5 billion in 2015. As of 2019, it has over 5,200 locations in 60 countries. Ace operates 17 distribution centers in the United States, and additional distribution facilities in China, Panama, and the United Arab Emirates. This particular store on Seabreeze is located in the large strip mall that houses the LA Fitness, TJ Maxx and the Total Wines and more...so it's easy to find and to park.

Sherwin-Williams Paint Store - Front. No inside pictures! It's against company policy!

Phew! This is one store I'll never ever return to or recommend to anyone. Who would have thought…read morethat just wandering into a newly opened painting supply store I'd find myself in the midst of a hostile. totally Yelp unfriendly, hateful environment. It all started when I pulled out my little camera to take a picture of the inside and the clerk started, close as I can recall, right in on me. "You can't do that." "I can't allow this." "It's against company policy." "You are not permitted to take pictures here." I was stunned! It wasn't only the denial of picture taking but the abrasive tone of voice in which it was put to me. Like what on this earth would they have to hide or not want revealed that would provoke this type of overly defensive verbal lashing? My only retort was that I merely wanted to take a picture for Yelp, which got the response that "We're on Face Book...we do our own." Well, as far as I'm concerned, I'm not about to let them get away with reviewing themselves or bloviating over how great they are because they aren't. In my humble opinion they're a bunch of childish self-centered arrogant jerks with nothing to be arrogant about. Its new store with rather nice displays but smallish and in general doesn't really amount too much. In all, if I could give this store minus stars, I would. If they are so hostile, unfriendly and insanely jerky about someone merely taking a picture inside of their store, I can only imagine the utter crap one might get into attempting to do business transactions with them. Fortunately, even though I had a paint sample with me in order to get some doors painted, it's something I will never find out because I'll never be back; and neither will anyone else I know. Though I did snap a picture of the inside just before the clerk verbally lit into me, I'll honor what to me is the insane stupidity of their so-called company policy and not post it.

A small hardware store that used to be an Ace store that's switching over to a True Value…read more This was the third and last store we visited today on our quest. The manager didn't think he had what we needed any longer, but checked with a staff member. They had one kit left, but only in white -- the wrong color. The staff member said we should order it on Amazon (!). I explained we were trying to "shop local" ... In any case, the manager gave us some suggestions of some larger stores that might have more inventory. He even suggested we call a location in advance to see if they could order it. That was incredibly nice of him to do so... If you live in this area, and need something, please visit. They deserve to get some yelper business

The reviews for Hanna Paint and Hardware are all over the place from lowly one stars to glowing…read morefive stars, and there seems to be hardly any in between. I guess everyone has had different experiences with Hanna, but all of mine have been very good. Hanna Paint and Hardware is a smaller privately owned hardware store which for me offers a much better shopping experience than I have at the big box stores such as Lowes or Home Depot. Hanna's is a place where I can easily find someone knowledgeable to give me shopping assistance and sound advice. I know that one time I walked into Hanna asking for a specific item and the clerk told me, even though he did carry that item, it was really not the best hence not what I should want. So, I picked up the other item he recommended and yes, he was so right and it was so much better. The chances of me getting good advice like that elsewhere are at best, remote.

Worst paint store in the area. I've gone to Miller twice now. First experience was at the beginning…read moreof 2018 when I needed a BM (Benjamin Moore) paint. I gave the color name and color code needed, they mixed it up, I paid and left. When I got home it was not the color I ordered, drove back and they verified that yes they mixed it wrong. They then proceeded to want to ad "shots of black" to it to bring it up to the color. I declined and requested a new bucket to be mixed since I'm using it to match an existing wall and in the future I need future paint purchases to match. They argued with me for about 5 minutes about how this is bad for their business and I should accept the "fixed" paint. Eventually a new can was mixed and I left amazed at how their mistake was tried to be pushed onto me, the customer. Fast forward about a year later. I recently walked into the store about 5-10 minutes before 3pm when I was announced at "I'm closing up now, so you better know what you want?" I was taken back by this as it was early and I had a couple questions to ask before I was going to buy about $500 worth of paint. I proceeded to ask if they had a specific BM in stock which I was told quickly that BM doesn't make it anymore, which I knew was a lie. I was so floored by the attitude of the clerk I walked out and he proceeded to lock the door immediately behind me. I went up to the BM store 10 minutes north in Pompano and low and behold they had the paint that "they don't make anymore," they were incredibly friendly, answered all my questions, and carried my paint out to my car. Save your time and hard earned money and avoid this place. BM should pull their franchise license.
