Great pizza in a laid back environment. The crust on the Big Bear pizza was perfect.

I'm a big pizza lover and had walked by here several times during the summer but never stopped in. So tonight on the way to a Halloween costume party I decided to stop in. Although it wasn't listed on the menu I asked for a 16" supreme. It took a while for the pizza to come out of the oven. When it finally came to my table I dug in. I'm not a big fan of thin crust but the flavor of the toppings more than made up for it. Before I knew it I had already plowed through half of the pizza and had to stop myself from devouring the entire thing. Definitely worth checking out read more

I love buddy's pizza! Locally owned, delicious food, and I love the atmosphere. Plus it's located in beautiful downtown Frankfort. They vibe is hipster, the pizza is made to order and is served quickly. Buddy's pizza is thin, with lots of cheese and flavor. I recommend their Meat Lovers. I have also tried their Pizza Sandwich and it was great! The sub comes with sausage, pepperoni, cheese , garlic buttered bread, sauce and a side of chips for only $5! The best local pizza joint in Frankfort. Located right downtown within walking distance of all the best local bars, restaurants and shopping in town. The owner and staff are always friendly and pleasant, plus, the pizza ROCKS. Bottled beer available. My favorite thing is to get the pizza to go, and then eat it outside, picnic-style, on the lawn of the Old State Capitol. found this place through a friend and grabbed a slice RIGHT before they closed. not only were they super nice about our gaffe, the service was so nice and personable. I grabbed a slice of pepperoni bacon and even though it was the end of the day, my slice was DELICIOUS. But the true test? Was finishing the slice when it had gone cold, and wishing I had infinity more pieces!! NOTHING like good cold pizza, especially when its AMAZING when hot! The pizza is fantastic. They have all kinds of choices for people who need gluten free. I don't live far from here and this is our go to pizza joint. If you just want something quick for lunch they always have one or two pizzas available by the slice. Their crust is thin and crunchy but thick enough to be soft. I love the pretzel with the beer cheese. The beer cheese has a real zing to it so it might not be for beginners but it is delicious! To top it off they are Buddy's in the truest sense of the word. If you bring in a picture of your pooch they'll post it on the wall with some of the others. Some of my friends have done this as s memory to passed dogs so they will always have somewhere people can see how adorable they are. read more

Great pizza and salads! I've had both and have no complaints. Thin crust and huge slice loaded with pepperoni and sausage. It was the lunch deal and it's a bargain. Salads are very fresh and the house made balsamic dressing packs a punch of flavor. I've only been there for lunch and it's been packed both times but speedy service. Pizza is the BOMB!! Yeah, I said the BOMB. This a local place and adorably has pictures of dogs on the wall. We ordered the large meathead pizza and it did not disappoint. We stopped in on Trivia night and the crowd seemed to be having a great time. The staff was accommodating and welcomed us to join in. Again, the pizza is delicious. Literally the greasiest pizza I've ever eaten. I could feel the grease around my mouth after every bite and that was after sopping it up with napkins. The cheese pizza - the crust was nearly invisible. The Pepperoni pizza crust tasted like underdone dough. We didn't even eat one full slice of either. Everyone stared at us while we were there and the place is filthy. I had to wipe down our table and there was trash and old bottles on the ground. To finish it off, it gave us terrible heartburn. Buddy's has great pizza and the prices are pretty reasonable. They do tend to get a pretty solid crowd at lunch so get there early unless you want the $5 lunch special. They will get those our fast. They serve alcohol, and have great artwork of dogs on the walls. What's not to love? read more

Pizzas are ok but I keep coming back for the cheese bread. Always get an extra marinara because it's that good. $6 for a 12" cheese bread tastes way better than the big chains. I don't know if it's the marinara or the cheese sticks or both but it's a family favorite. Parking sucks to be honest, especially if Gibby's has a crowd. The two types of pizza didn't impress me so no 5 stars. read more

I eat pizza everywhere.....most are not memorable and not even worth a review. Buddy's IS memorable and worth the time to review so I will. My wife and I ate on a slow saturday afternoon and were the only ones in the dining room. Our pie was made quickly and was delicious!! The toppings were plentiful, the sauce excellent with just the right amount of spice and the crust among the best I've eaten. Plus a great selection of beer...what's not to like about all that? Nothing fancy, but good food. Seems to be a small "hippie" pizza joint. I liked all of the photos of dogs provided by their customers on the wall.
