Cattleman's Roadhouse - Unlimited Salad Bar - Steakhouses Near Me - Frankfort, Kentucky

This is not a chain but they own several locations. It's unassuming but worth the stop. A cozy country steak house similar to another, but oh SO much better. A huge beautiful salad bar that is well stocked with freshness. Friendly servers offer southern hospitality. The steak was cooked perfectly, delicious potato salad but the star was the fried pork chop! So crispy, hot and juicy; I had to pick it up to clean my bone with no shame. Hope to be back someday. read more

Super friendly staff (and guests!). This was my first Cattleman's Roadhouse experience and it couldn't have been better. I had a great steak. They have a solid salad bar. read more

The ribs were great. The service was great. The setting was ok. The steak had way too much pepper on it. I had asked for a steak with no seasoning. The fries were also seasoned and I had asked for none. The salad bar lacked pickled beets. The worse was the hostess. My spouse is in a wheelchair. The hostess said come again. I backed my spouse through the first door. I was halfway through the second when the hostess stuck her head through the first door and asked me if she could get the door. read more

Tried out Cattleman's while in the area for an event. Service was fantastic, food tasted great and came out fast. Sat in the bar area and loved the variety of games to watch on the big screens. Jess was a very attentive server. Decently will come back when in the area again. read more

Business lunch on Thursday and we sat in the bar area. I think the bartender was also responsible for the tables in the bar area. At her suggestion, I ordered the Boom Boom Chicken Bites and Fries. I am glad I took her advice. The chicken was tender, lightly breaded and the sauce was delicious. Lunch for 2 with tip was $30ish. read more

It was a great meal and service was fantastic! Easy to get to and plenty of parking.

Good service. Good ambiance for a steakhouse. Chop was fair. Green beans not so good. 3 stars.

Arrived close to closing time with 6 in our party. Server was nice enough. The salad bar was still well stocked and was decent. Glad we added that. Dinners were poor quality and small portions. Cocktails were undrinkable (do not recommend their old fashioned or mezcal mule!) the restaurant itself wasn't too cleanly and the restrooms weren't stocked with toilet paper. overall, will never return. read more

Burnt roll, burnt prime rib sandwich, burnt chicken, and the mashed potatoes were cold, dry and thick like paste. There is no way the potatoes are being kept to temp. Second time with similar issues at this location in the past year. We were giving them a second chance in hopes they just had an off night last time, apparently this is how they serve food on the regular. We will NOT be returning. read more

If you're looking for a delicious steak house, this is the place to go. 10/10 recommend. The rolls were fluffy and fresh with a delicious cinnamon butter. We both ordered steaks and they were cooked to our liking. The steaks were some of the most tender steaks we've had. The service was wonderful. We had Tyler as our water. He was very upbeat and cheerful! This made for a great dining experience! read more

The options on this menu will have you salvating. They have something for everyone. There are so many options to pick from. I had the country fried steak, and it was so, so, good. For a small upcharge, you can get an endless salad bar. The food was good and great prices. Bless Ian's heart. As soon as I sat down, I ordered a shot, and he asked if I wanted water, I told him not unless he could turn that water into wine. He was very chill and happy, great server. read more

This was our first time visiting the Richmond location and it didn't not disappoint!! It was move-in weekend at the local college and the place was PACKED! We made a call ahead reservation and we were seated quickly once we were called. Our waitress was STELLAR. We tipped her $20 for outstanding performance under pressure, LOL! Our food was perfection. Cheese fries were good, salads weree cold and crispy with no chemical taste. My filet was made exactly as ordered and the taste was out of this world. They were out of baked potatoes so I can't vouch for that. My husband ordered the Porterhouse Steak and it was the biggest steak we have ever seen in a restaurant. A good 2 inches thick and and cooked to perfection. We left stuffed, happy and feeling like it was worth every dime. And that rarely happens these days! read more

Cattleman's Roadhouse is good for what it is. Decent prices for decent food. It is, however falling short of five-stars because of it: it is just decent. Nothing particularly blew me out of the water nor impressed me. It was fine, but failed to excel. I don't consider myself any sort of steak snob, but there is something tragic about a medium-rare steak that is just "all-right". Service was perfectly fine and acceptable, no bad marks there. Bartender and waitresses seemed to know the locals, and I'm happy to see it. Restaurant is kept clean and neat, decor is mostly wood and corrugated sheet metal. Design, where it is found, is nothing particularly remarkable. read more

It was hard finding anything open passed 7pm during the week. After some high quality Yelping we located Cattleman's. We were there just in time aka before dinner rush. We ordered the two bourbon glazed steaks and sliders. All 3 came with salad bars. The salad bar was beautiful, clean and abundant with stuff. One negative, I ordered a medium steak and it came out rare. It was re cooked but you know. Odd: men's bathroom. Two urinals one was tall where you needed a stool in order to pee or be 6ft 5in. read more

One of the only two steakhouses in Frankfort, so we eat here about once every two months. I'd stay away from ordering steak if you are picky. It's a solid 3, and overpriced. The real showstopper here is their unlimited salad bar. It's has lots of great items including pasta and potato salad, which is a nice add. Service was excellent and their signature rolls were fresh as always. They have a decent rewards program which I also recommend. Restrooms are clean, plenty of seating, no wait to be seated. read more

Fantastic service and meal. I was in town on business and the food was so great that I ate here all three nights.

Large salad, large portions, delicious dinner rolls, and very friendly waitress. Great dinner experience.

Nice find in Frankfort. I stayed in local hotel and Cattleman's was Recommended. From the moment I pulled in the drive, I knew this was a good place based on the number of vehicles in the parking lot. I chose to sit at the bar since I was alone. Plenty of seating and was waited on quickly. I noticed upon walking in a nice looking salad bar. So I selected grilled shrimp and salad bar which was a perfect pairing. The shrimp was REALLY good. Grilled with some blackening seasoning. They were so good. The salad bar was fresh and taken care. This is not your old wimpy lettuce. This was fresh cut and prepared. The bartender told me they have personnel that preps everything daily. I could tell and one of the best I have seen in a long time. I saw several other dishes come out from steaks to chicken and it all looked good. Nice bar selection also. Give Cattleman's a try if you are in town. read more

Steak and green beans were extremely bland with no salt/flavor. My steak was charred completely on the outside and tasted like a burnt hamburger. I will say the steak was cooked to appropriate temperature, however they need to season better. read more

We stopped in after our bourbon tour, we were lucky enough to have Wayne as our server, and he was fantastic!!! Food was great!! I had the moonshot chicken and I cannot recommend this enough, the glaze they use is unbelievable.(I even asked if I could buy a bottle). My husband had the 8 ounce steak and said it was very good as well. We will definitely eat here again on our next trip to Frankfort. read more

Service was terrible. Nice young server, Severely overworked. Two steaks were cooked as ordered could have come from a pair of boondocks, tough as they were. The salmon was good but the broccoli was super salty. The seasoned fries, NOT. This is the second time for a poor visit. It was the last vist. read more

Good country style food. They have daily specials with a large salad bar. I had the country fried steak. You can choose between two patties or one. I chose to have just one patty because it was lunch time. The patty has a white gravy on top. The steak has a crispy crust but tender meat. You also get a side and rolls. I had the red potato mashed potatoes. They were generous with portions of the potatoes. read more

Absolutely awful experience. I ordered the Alfredo with chicken. The chicken came out undercooked. I sent it back. They didn't remake it. They just took the chicken off the plate and grilled it some more. Not proper food handling at all if chicken is undercooked. Table next to us ordered chicken Alfredo as well and manager went to their table and asked them how everything was. Her Alfredo didn't have very much sauce on it. Manager comp'd their meal and gave them free dessert. My husband and I got nothing, not even an I'm sorry for the undercooked chicken, no comp, NOTHING. This place is definitely not up to par on food safety handling procedures! I would NOT recommend this place at all! read more

Decent place. Good salad bar. Basic stuff, think Texas Roadhouse. Average service. Clean. Family friendly. Lots of locals

Came in around 6pm alone to get a salad bar and get out of the house a bit. I asked to be seated, but instead was handed a to go box and asked for payment. I asked again if they seated for anyone just wanting the salad bar, and was ignored. Super bummed and felt like I vocalized what I was asking for. I understand a single person taking up a table top, but a seat in the bar area wasn't even offered. :/ read more

Dinner. Started with the salad bar. Great selection, all fresh and well stocked. Then I had a large draft mich ultra draft beer. Cold and tasted great. I then had the cowboy double burger minus the bun . I wish I could cook burgers this good. Since no bun , just the meat , cheese, and some lettuce, tomato, and onions. Incredible favor, love it . Oh yeah, even my side of Steamed broccoli was cooked perfectly. read more

We've eaten here several times with mixed experiences, but today was the best. Ian provided great service and the food was delicious! Tonight we had the salad bar, which I believe is the best salad bar in Frankfort. Hubby ordered the beef tips with mac and cheese, while I had the Black & Bleu sirloin with a baked sweet potato. Hubby raved over how tender the beef tips were, and my 7 oz. sirloin had only a couple of bites with gristle. read more
