Initially, Alice was hesitant because I was traveling to Brooklyn from JFK during rush hour, but nonetheless she made the arrangements for my transport, and I'm so grateful she did! The morning I arrived, Alice texted to let me know that she was at the airport, which alleviated my fears of a "no show" as I had read on other pet taxi company reviews. Alice drove me to the cargo building to pick up my animals, and helped disassemble the dog crate to fit in the car. I could tell instantly that Alice truly cares about the animals and making us all feel comfortable in our new surroundings. We chatted on the way to my destination, and Alice gave this new New Yorker some tips for living in the city. When we got to my stop, Alice waited in the car with the animals while I got my keys and took all my belongings up to the apartment. She was so patient and seemed concerned that all was well before leaving me on my own, which I really appreciated! Moving to new city alone was very daunting, and I knew that getting to my apartment with the animals would be challenging. Alice made getting from the airport to my new home easy and enjoyable. On leaving, she said I could call her for anything, which made me feel like I'd made my first friend in this big city. They were very communicative and responsive from the minute we submitted the request, which was already a good sign, and the driver (Julio) arrived 10 minutes early. It was such a relief considering our last experience with a different pet cab service (who showed up 45 minutes late). This company is really professional and on point, and the ride was very comfortable for us and our dogs. The car was spotless and spacious, and Julio was so kind and friendly. I had a dire emergency with our 84 lb German Shepherd who had suddenly become virtually paralyzed…read more I called Pet Cab to take us to the ER at the animal medical center. Joanna responded immediately and she also was able to get a hold of a couple of strong volunteers to help lift our dog into the cab. She swiftly transported us to the ER where Joanna got out of the cab and made sure that personnel brought a gurney for my shepherd who could not walk & was promptly admitted. Joanna was so caring and kind during this terribly upsetting time. I had to call upon her again when our shepherd was discharged a week later and had to be brought to the vets for medical boarding. Joanna also sent her son to transport us and he is a truly lovely young man and equally as helpful. I again called upon Joanna when our Shepard needed to go to AMC for a check up and transportation back to the vets for another week of medical boarding. Pet Cab was so prompt so professional so caring Joanna is simply the greatest. and I will be calling upon her again because our dog. will need further transport. Transporting an 84 pound German shepherd is not an easy task and requires a lot of assistance and Joanna was always able to find assistance since neither of us could lift such a large dog. I simply cannot say enough good things about Pet Cab as a company they are reasonable reliable and just such lovely people. I very highly recommend them to anyone who needs to transport an animal.

With her experience as a Veterinary Technician, she has taught me different tricks to lessen the discomfort of injections. She also showed me how to properly mix his probiotic sprinkles into his food so they were virtually undetectable. She exhibits no judgement over my lack of housekeeping skills, keeping Felly's meal and litter areas immaculate. She has brought into the apartment my chewy.com deliveries, as well as arranged cans in such way that they all fit in the glass container I have for his special diet food. She double checks with me if my inputted schedule appears to be missing a visit or if I may have accidentally double booked, as there isn't a rhyme or reason to the world of aviation. She is always cheerful and coos adoringly to Felly, whom she cuddles with after his mealtime routine. The added benefit to his medication visit is the fact that my cat is happier with the socialization. Prior to my adopting him, he had been our apartment building mascot and was accustomed to greeting his adoring public for 10 years. He slowly acclimated to indoor living and eventually refused to go outside anymore, heading up the stairs instead of staying in his favorite spot in the stoop. I must admit the air conditioning inside CAN be divine. Felly is so obviously calmer and more content with visits from who we refer to as His Friend Karen. Karen also advised my sister on her kitten adoption, utilizing both her professional and personal experiences. I wholeheartedly endorse Karen, as well as Marc. Felly adores her and I do too. She is a diamond in the rough and a genuine, sweet soul. Any pet parent would do themselves well to seek out her services. I welcome any inquiries as a reference.

Upon bringing my Kingston (all black cat) to the location, it was very clean and the owner was very inviting. She asked if my cat was in distress prior to his arrival, and I mentioned that he was meowing a bit in the car. She allowed my boyfriend and I to stay for a bit, to ensure that he was calm. She said that she can often tell how the animal (mainly cats) will behave the minute she starts to clip their nails. She asked for us to pet him and stay near him as she clipped, so that he felt safe and secure. Nothing more than someone other than me caring about my pet's wellbeing. This meant a lot! As we were there she also cleaned his eyes and ears, and brushed him gently, and she even got a wag from Kingston which is a sign of happiness. I then felt comfortable enough to leave so that she can continue to work on him. I will be booking another appointment with House Pet Grooming in the near future, as I felt she did an amazing job. Both cats were left in their carriers for long periods, resulting in fur discolored by urine. Despite providing enough food for 10 days, it was all gone when we picked them up, and the cats had lost significant weight, were dehydrated, and extremely anxious. To add insult to injury, the owner not only denied the poor treatment but also accused my daughter of lying about boarding the pets. She even managed to have my daughter's honest reviews taken down. Thankfully, we have photos of the receipt and texts messages between the owner and me. My daughter also has photos from that time that clearly show the deplorable conditions the cats were returned in. Those were submitted in the initial review that the owner had taken down. For the price we paid, we expected basic care, but what we got was negligence and dishonesty. This SHOULD be a police matter. I strongly advise against trusting your pets to this establishment.
