Really good food and sushi. They have it split into two sides, one side is a hibachi style grill, the other side is a regular restaurant style, with a sushi bar in the back. They are advertising in local clipping mailer for 10 dollars off. It is worth taking, as a meal for two with no drink cost about 90 bucks, we did get sushi apps/main course/and dessert. Marvelous food! I had the Thai coconut chicken, and it was truly flavorful, light and colorful. With jicama, peppers and zucchini, it was just delicious. Very pleasantly surprised. Terrible. Just terrible. The hibachi "chef" cut up the raw chicken first, then used the same knife to cut everything else. He never seared the steak and instead cooked it for less than 2 minutes before attempting to serve gray meat that was raw in the middle and dropped food or dropped sauce on the table each time he served anyone's plate. The sauce containing raw garlic didn't have a chance to cook through since he rushed everything and the shrimp tasted old. Totally sloppy and rushed. At the end he proceeded to clean the stove for 15 minutes, and this is not an exaggeration. We saw him cluelessly push the dirty brown water over the same exact spot for an eternity while yelling over the table to his buddy in the back of the restaurant. It was only 8:30 but they cleaned the restaurant around us while we ate (mopping, scrubbing etc) and rushed everything. The servers were rude, never clearing plates from the appetizers, seemed annoyed when someone wanted water and ignored the table for most of the meal. They ruined a birthday celebration with bad service and horrible food. They charge wayyyy too much money for that. Do not go here. read more

This place has terrible service. My wife ordered the crispy snapper and it came out SOGGY and tasteless. We asked to exchange it for what I had instead and they flat out said " No, we need to make our money". After 5 minutes of talking to the "manager", she abruptly flung me off with her hands as if I was a fly and allowed us to switch meals as if she was doing us a favor. Okay I ordered take out from this place- chicken and shrimp hibachi combo and it was awful, they got every facet of the order wrong. Firstly, I asked for a 7:30 delivery time- arrived half hour early as though it was an arbitrary request. Second, there was NO sauce. Know what turns hibachi into a great meal? The sauce. There was none. Third, the vegetables tasted like dish soap- really horrible dish soap- the kind that's been soaking in a dirty sink for the last year. The soup which couldn't even pass for a quarter miso had no taste. And to finish if off they were extremely rude and had absolutely no class. Come on, this is terrible food!! Salmon was the lowest quality piece of fish I've eaten in a long time. It was grey and pretty much tasteless except for a horrible aftertaste which I'm still burping up hours later!! All the other food was very bland too, even the fried rice and sauteed veggies. Absolutely horrible. As if it wasn't bad enough that I made reservations for 12 and had to wait 45 minutes for a table, take out stinks. After they're done charging for everything, a dollar for brown rice rather than white (for each roll) another dollar for spicy mayo the rolls aren't GOOD at all. My co-workers and I , ordered sushi and lunch meals from here, the food was not well cooked and was rushed. Me and my co-workers felt sick after eating the food. After contacting the restaurant about our order and not to mention the missing food we ordered along with it, The person taking our order tried to cover it as though we did not order the selected food. I have never been to the actual restaurant but I have ordered delivery from Buddha. The sushi and entrees I've tried were pretty good. The delivery was very fast at lunchtime. However I was totally disappointed that the delivery driver disregarded my note on the order. I specifically asked that they please not go onto the front porch and ring the doorbell, but come to my side door and knock. It was in big letters on the receipt he handed me to sign. But he ended up ringing the doorbell on the front porch anyway. read more

Went here for the first time for lunch and never again! I ordered chicken hibachi thinking it is going to be healthy chicken and veggies..well was I wrong! I got a hunk of greasy lomein and some dry chicken. The "shrimp appetizer" that comes with the lunch special was ONE SHRIMP. And they dont even offer miso soup..just "clear soup". This is a new restaurant at the corner behind Chipotle in Rye Ridge Shopping Center across from Port Chester Middle School. They just opened and I had been anticipating it . We looked at a menu and first said NO because it looked kind of pricy, but we decided that we should try it for lunch. Lunch menu is Monday thru Saturday. We decided to go with the grill (what they call "Hibachi" - which is a wrong usage of the original term - more precisely "Teppan Yaki".) We were first at the table side (which is for the customers who do not choose for "Hibachi" but for sushi and other items on the menu. We had to move to the other side. There were several others at the counter waiting for the chef to come. It was a bit bad as some other customers were finishing up their lunch and they were too close to us and their finishing dishes and dirty napkins were there.... We got soup and salad first - not that great. Soup was OK but there are so many waiters and waitresses waiting behind and they are waiting for you to quickly finish and take them away.... the guy sitting next to me finished his soup and even though mine was left 1/3 of it, they took it away... that was a bit annoying. I ordered "Hibachi style" lunch combo with steak. There was supposed to be another shrimp appetizer, which we did not get (mentioned in the menu, but nobody else seemed to be getting it either). The chef came and did the usual "Japanese steak house tricks". I hate that they call it "Japanese" steak house as none of the chefs are Japanese really and they always wear insensitive banners (such as Kamikaze and stuff) and throw knives around and call themselves Japanese and give the wrong image of Japan! Anyway, our chef came out and did all the tricks such as cutting meat fast, making onions like a volcano and splashing water etc. Some of the things he was saying (I could not 100% make out what he said as his accent was very strong) seemed a bit vulgar and discriminating to women. Also, he splashed water at my 3-year-old son's face and he was almost crying. Also, he threw squash to all the men for them to eat like dogs! He was not throwing it well and it was not nice...oh well, I guess that is a show and that is what many expect from "Japanese steak house" I suppose. Woman next to us was eating fusion sushi and she was raving about it. The steak was good, and my husband's salmon was good. My son also liked the noodle that came with them. For $12, it was pretty good, I suppose. It was kind of funny as the chef did any tricks, all the staff behind us were clapping very hard. I do not know if I am going back there or not, but I guess it is good to have some option of Asian fusion in the area. I work in a hotel around and I ordered food for pickup. I followed a white young couple as we entered the restaurant. They were welcomed nicely and their takeout order was taken. All the workers there ignored me Including the one who took the order. I saw an older man standing there and walked to him and he looked me from up to down. Even before I could say a word he asked if I was an Uber driver and when I said I had an order for pick up he looked me up and down again as if he was sizing me and pointed out who I should speak with. This person I spoke with told me my food is not ready and went back to using his phone. Finally a young man came and my food was right where I was standing. I waited In my car because they were about to close to see if an u we would pull up for pickup but none did . They all closed the restaurant and entered a silver van. This happened today 10/16/2018 at about 9:25 pm. They can look in their cameras if they ever feel this is made up. Food was above average I won't deny. read more

I usually end up here, because its so close to my house, but the service leaves something to be desired. On one visit, I asked for my shrimp to be steamed. It came out with sauce on it and when I said something the waitress looked at me like I was crazy. She took it back and returned shortly with what looked like the same shrimp that had been rinsed off. You could really tell that they still had brown sauce on them. Visited this restaurant twice in the last few weeks. The first experience was okay, but the second was horrible. The wait service is acceptable, but when the hibachi server came out he dropped his spatula on the floor and proceeded to his table where he used his dirty spatula to serve his customers. Yesterday was the first time I tried Buddha. I had heard it was good, so I figured a friend and I would check it out. Now I only went to the table side, not the hibachi side, so that is what I will be rating. The atmosphere is nice, but a little dark. It was hard to see the menu at first. The prices are a little high, but you get decent sized portions. We got the Orange Steak (Really good) and the Chicken Noodles (Pretty Good). I thought the food was very similar to a Chinese restaurant, but a little more upscale. The service was on top of things, but they were a little hard to understand due to their accents, so I found myself asking them to repeat themselves. Over all I was pretty satisfied with the dinner. But...man I think they put some MSG ((mono-sodium glutamate)) in their food because I crashed so hard right after my meal in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. Beyond disappointed in the service I received today! People from my office and I frequently visit the restaurant but due to the office being busier today we decided to order in. We ordered the lunch combos which come with rice and soup or salad and to our surprise the delivery arrived with nothing but the chicken... No rice and no soup or salad! We called the restaurant and complained and was told there is nothing they can do that they are too busy to deliver what we ordered! AND we paid for it... We like to take our kids to hibachi because it's entertaining for them and the kids tend to like the food. Our night at Buddha was an exception. The chef who prepared our meal was extremely nasty and rude as well as our waiter. My son, who is 7 years old, said the food was disgusting. There were also buckets in the corner of the restaurant to clean the floor when walking in. Not sure why they were left out. Needless to say, with horrible service, rude staff and bad food, we will not be returning to Buddha. read more

I work nearby and have been there 5 or 6 times for dinner, lunch and takeout. Great selection and prices for lunch specials and I heard there is a new "happy hour" special pricing. Food is the key to any restaurant of this kind- the sushi is excellent and fresh, soups are nicely spiced, and and you won;t go home hungry after eating at the hibachi grill. Beautiful interior and decor. Great place for a meal with family, friends, or a hibachi birthday party for your kids. Nice staff, service excellent, definitely recommend. read more

I went there with my daughter 6and 8 years old. All they wanted a Little bit of a show from the chef, but because we were only 3 people the chef cooked and left.
