Frustrating beyond belief. I called Universal Repair because they had very good feedback ratings. Lo and behold, the positive feedback was just what I experienced. I was given a next day appointment by Valerie, with a two hour window. Dmytro showed up right on time! He didn't mess about. He went straight to work diagnosing my problem. Then he did his magic and suddenly my refrigerator was working like new. Dmytro showed me the condenser and it was disgustingly dirty. He cleaned that up to like new. Not only did Dmytro repair my water problem,he left my refrigerator in better shape than it had been in years. Dmytro gave me a price which sounded justified. And accepted my check in payment. I absolutely have to say, Thank You Dmytro!!! And thank you Universal Repair! If and when I have more appliance problems I will definitely call Universal Repair! Honesty and Integrity!

They provided very fast service, arriving at my house three hours after I called. They didn't have…read morethe part that needed to be replaced, but they fixed it the next day. I can't say if their prices are high or low, since it took a little over an hour and I don't have any comparisons. However, I was very happy with the service and the technician, who offered helpful advice about dishwasher tablets. Thank you very much.

I had a very frustrating experience with Wilson & Myers, mostly because of poor communication, lack…read moreof transparency, and concerns about the technician's familiarity with my dryer. From the beginning, communication was difficult. I had trouble understanding the person I initially spoke with, and we went back and forth trying to understand each other. She told me she would call me back, but she never did. When a technician was finally sent out, he openly told me that he had never serviced my type of ASKO dryer before. He then spent about an hour and a half dismantling the machine, removing all four sides. Afterward, I found a straightforward video showing that this particular dryer could be accessed by removing only two sides, rather than taking apart nearly the entire machine. My biggest concern, however, was the lack of transparency around pricing. Their website states that there is an $89 diagnostic/service fee that will be deducted from the total repair cost. I was then sent an estimate with only a total amount and no itemization whatsoever. There was no breakdown of the part cost, labor rate, labor hours, or how the $89 fee had supposedly been deducted. When I called and asked for an itemized estimate, I was told that this is simply how they provide their pricing. The quoted repair was over $360 even after, according to them, the $89 fee had already been deducted. I understand that a stackable dryer in tight quarters may require additional labor, and I have no problem paying fairly for skilled work. What I do have a problem with is not being able to see what I am actually being charged for. I called again to discuss my concerns and even provided the video showing the proper way to access this specific ASKO dryer. I was told that the information would be shared with the technician or someone with more experience with this model and that I would receive a call back. Once again, no one called me. In the end, I paid the $89 service fee and am now looking for another repair company. I would strongly recommend that Wilson & Myers provide customers with itemized estimates showing parts, labor, and service fees, and that technicians be matched with appliances they have experience servicing. The entire experience left me feeling frustrated and without confidence in either the repair estimate or the process.

The panel had been lost in a remodel, and the discontinued part was proving difficult to find. Russell at High City was a rock star to work with. He listened, and he and the crew there went no the hunt. He could have easily said it wasn't possible but they stuck with it. Turning over every stone, the eventually found the part. Many thanks to Russell and the High City crew. They saved me a lot of money by not having to replace the whole unit. They really went the extra mile to finish the job. First class.

High City Appliance charges $69 for first appliance and $34 for the second one. We called and set up a time and date for them to diagnose. The window was 9-12 pm. As we do, schedules get rearranged and it was 11:25 am and still no communication from High City Appliance. I call to follow-up and customer service tells me they will follow-up. A couple of minutes later, I receive a text from their technician and he says he is 25 minutes away. He arrives at 11:57 am. He did wear shoe covers upon entering and after spending about 30 minutes in our laundry room, he shares the issues with our appliances. To replace the parts and labor the cost would be about $715. The estimate included parts and labor and labor was over $200/hour. That seemed pretty steep. If we decided to move forward, the diagnostic charge would be credited, but still very costly. After having to follow up and waiting for the technician to arrive, then receiving his quote, it was a disappointing experience. The technician also wanted to charge me $59 for the second appliance, but quickly corrected him of the quoted price that customer service shared upon making the appointment. I would strongly reconsider calling High City Appliance in the future should we have appliance issues.
