I normally don't write negative reviews. I recently purchased oil from the Bucks County Fuel trying to avoid price increase. I was informed of a price 2.9499/gallon and was never informed price of 91.6 gallons would be 50 cents more/gallon. I was charged 3.449/gallon instead, called BCF and Lisa said BCF can offer me a credit toward my next oil purchase. I will never want to have anything to do with BCF ever again due to this unethical business practice. Good luck to you all that do. read more

Shame on Lisa. You don't call a client and do what you did. Telling me what to do when you have no facts to back up your overinflated opinion is shameful. You have no right to tell me to replace a tank that might be 8 years old. You have no idea what is going on and your aggressive, hostile tone with the first sentence out of our mouth was uncalled for. Shame on you and for the company allowing you to interact with the public. read more

Cheaper to buy your own tools and take a crash course, rather than deal with incompetence. Has been charged for the parts not replaced and lied about replacement, replaced parts failed within three days. Damaged existing unit (stripped threads) which means new, more costly repair already on the horizon. And most despicable part - lying. There's RTFM - saying in my field, may be HVAC people need to adopt it too - READ THE FRACKING MANUAL - before you showing up. read more

We agreed. He promised us a contract and to execute on the installation by the end of April, 2017. After persistent efforts to make contact via text and telephone, to which Mr. Duncan did not respond, he finally responded on 5/11/17. He agreed to come again to our home and get the installation process started by May 12 or May 26, 2017. We never heard from him again until we sent a strongly-worded text to him on July 11, 2017. He responded by saying he got "overwhelmed...was having some problems with some help...and was not taking on "any more projects until October, 2017." Mr. Duncan lied to us about the installation. He never communicated with us for months. He kept us waiting for this HVAV installation, delaying it for 5 months.

Our rep, Scott Fischer, even said he'd loan us a portable air conditioner so we don't melt before they can get the new air conditioner installed. Everyone we've ever dealt with from Dowd have been helpful, knowledgable and kind.

$150 waste of money for diagnostic. When we called this morning to make an appointment we…read morespecifically asked if they work on the oil heaters in levittown knowing that its a niche thing. The woman on the phone assured us that they do. The first thing the hvac gentlemen said is "we don't really work on these oil heaters". When i said to him that we specifically asked the woman about it he told us "she's just dispatch". We were told that the soot needed to be cleaned(over $2700), they may need to remove the wall to do it which would cost more, and they don't replace the wall if they take it down. Then after all of that, they would be able to diagnose what is actually wrong with the heater, if its something more than a cleaning. If you live in Levittown, don't walk...run! You might as well throw your $150 in a hole and call someone else. Benjamin Franklin came out and hour later and fixed it for $417.

I had attempted to replace a garbage disposal, but had an issue with a pipe falling apart. I emailed Rick after 9pm that night, and he responded to my email by calling before 8am the next morning. On the phone call, Rick clearly explained the work to be completed. Rick made the service call himself early in the afternoon, and resolved my issues quickly. He was able to access our crawl space, and navigate his way down there to running a new pipe for my kitchen sink. He installed the Garbage disposal, and cleared the clogged sink drain. The work was performed professionally, quickly.. and priced reasonably. The bill clearly listed all work performed, and detailed pricing. I will certainly use Rick Lucas Plumbing in the future, and I would strongly recommend giving him a call for your Plumbing needs.

Our air conditioning unit stopped working Sunday night. I called Bucks County Fuel because I use them for heating oil and they serviced my boiler last fall. Anyway when I called 8 o'clock Sunday night I was expecting to leave a message on their machine but to my suprise the service manager picked up the phone and got me scheduled to have the Technician out the next day. When the Technician arrived Monday morning he was very polite and very knowledgeable. He found the problem and gave me the price. Again I was very surprised how good their pricing was because I had the same problem a few years back at another property I owned and the company I used at the time was much higher for the same exact part. I got home Tuesday night to a cold house. I went on Yelp and found Bucks County Fuel. I spoke to a very nice man that told me they would send somebody right out. 20 minutes later there technician arrived and after another 20 minutes I got the diagnosis. I had a bad fuel pump. The technician gave me a reasonable price to fix it. (I only know the because its the second pump I had to replace since I bought the house. The technician found that the old coupling was a little longer then it should be and that put strain on the pump. So he cut a new coupling and installed the new pump. I am very happy with this company and will be using them for oil and service in the future. read more

This company really got me out of a Jam today. My AC stopped working about 2 hours ago. I am having a party tonight and not having air conditioning wasn't an option. I looked around online but couldn't find someone until later tonight which wouldn't work. I seen an ad for yelp and downloaded the app. After requesting a few quotes from different companies Bucks County Fuel got right back to me. They sent a technician right out to fix my problem. My ac started blowing warm air earlier. I Thought it was just hot outside and that why it wasn't cooling but as the day went on I knew this was a problem. I decided to use Bucks County Fuel because I already use them as my oil supplier and they never let me down. They sent out there technician Kyle and within 10 minutes he was finished. My unit was 1 pound low on refrigerant. The technician was very informative on why the system was losing refrigerant and I was very happy with the service. read more

Been using BCF for about 10 years for home heating oil and also cleaning my furnace the last 4 years. They always show up on time and I've never had any issues with them. They also service my parents home and no issues there either. The price of the oil is always posted on their website and also given to me over the phone when ordered. Our heater stopped working in the middle of the night so I went on Yelp and found Bucks County Fuel. The company responded right away and I scheduled an appointment. Their technician was very professional and diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes. I received a very fair quote for the repair and had the technician fix my unit. Now my heater works better than it did before it broke down because the technician was able to tune up the heater in the process. read more

Great Company! I contacted this company Saturday morning because my hot water wasn't working. They were very friendly and sent someone right out to fix it. I thought I was gonna need a new heater but the technician assured me it could be fixed. After about an hour my hot water was back and my wife and I were very happy. The bill wasn't to bad either. I switched to a better oil delivery company. They couldn't deliver when they said they would, and kept over-promising that delivery would be by the "next day". They don't return calls, and I had to fill up my tank with diesel by hand and wasting my time and money. Not to mention a cold house with small children. Bad service. read more
