Well I have to say I was excited when I noticed this place right in Morrow and sold pellets / dog food. Pellets: they sell American Wood Fibers, these pellets are maybe a little better than the cheat river I got at Lowes in S. Lebanon this year, and they were closer to home even though a bit more expensive it was worth it. I have already got about 6 tons this year($1800 worth of business), this place became my primary source after trying a few other brands at other stores.
The guy who runs the store was friendly every time I was in there until the most recent visit. I got there just a little after 5PM and a young girl was working there who was very friendly. She was unsure about loading a ton with the forklift into the bed of my truck(this concerned me a little as I borrowed the truck from a family member) so she made a call. She asked if I wanted a few bags instead of the ton after talking on the phone with her boss because I would have to wait for him to get there. I told her I was fine to wait instead of making a second trip. About 15 min later the guy pulls in, gives me a not so nice look. Jumps on the forklift and roughly loads the pellets in the truck bed while on his cell phone. In the process, he bumps the tailgate a few times. Then just pulls away on the forklift (still on his cell phone), not a word said, jumps in his car and leaves before I even get the pellets strapped down. At this point I was so angry I just left. If that truck didn't have plastic trim on the top of tailgate I would have lost it. Luckily the plastic is replaceable, and I will be getting it replaced as I borrowed the truck.
After this I will no longer shop here unless it is a necessity, as I can get the same level of service anywhere else at a cheaper price. I like supporting local businesses, but refuse to if their customer service is below par compared to big box stores. I did just want to make a note that he had in the past loaded the pellets with the tailgate on(Other places have always asked me to take it off). The first time I went, I started taking it off and he said it wasn't a problem just leave it on and proceeded to load it without a problem. read more
