This…read morefood truck did not disappoint me when I visited once at a Halloween event at The Gym lot. So I called in, and picked up my order to go. I ordered the Filet Mignon-Lobster-and Shrimp plate with fried rice. It's with a bit extra cash for the shrimp and fried rice to accommodate my meal, but it was worth it. I was also able to redeem my %10 coupon which was on my my previous receipt. A little over $20, this meal was fulfilling and I was able to save some for leftovers. This hibachi food truck is a high desert gem, especially because it's so hard to find any hibachi restaurants around. So far, this one is my fav! Definitely can't wait to try this mixed platter again.

It had a hint of lemon, which I liked the vegetables very good. They could have been cooked a little bit more, but they were delicious. The rice was Brown rice and it was so good. It was Fried Rice, but here's the problem. It could have been more healthier, by not putting msg or not making it Fried Rice. Just steamed brown rice organic And and just making it a more healthier version, it was really expensive But it is filet Mignon. But it was still expensive. I wish they would make everything into a more healthier version because there's not a lot of healthy food up in the deserert when I'm up their Also, when I have MSG or when I have stuff that is not healthy. I swell up and my joints hurt. Especially with msg or soy sauce, but everything was super delicious. It's just, I wish it could be a healthier version. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks less but i know iit was filet Mignon, but it was really expensive. But it was good. But like I said, healthier version and not as expensive, maybe like a few bucks, less would be worth it but for that much I expected grass fed organic like I said just a few bucks lower would be awesome but food was good but I need a healthier version a personal preference but to those who are not you would like it just not the price ‍

First off, I came across Tacos el Gordito on yelp and immediately knew that's where we wanted to grab dinner from. We went to the dolphin avenue location that was listed and couldn't find it, so I called the number listed and got the voicemail. Quickly they called me back and sent me the address of where they were in the evening, at 1033 W Inyokern Rd, which was so kind and I appreciated that service! Immediately upon arrival, you are greeted by the picture of their beautiful family on the outside of the truck and we quickly learned the story of their "Gordito" and how they have run their business in honor of their late son. Before we had even tried a bit of their incredible food, we were already touched by the story and meaning behind their business! And then, we ate the food and oh my goodness was it delicious! We got the quesabirria combo (must try!!!) and then three tacos- pescada, carne asada, and barbacoa. We devoured it all and were in awe of how delicious it is. What an honor it was to meet this incredible couple, learn about the amazing way they honor their son, and enjoy their delicious food. Without a doubt, a must stop if you are staying or passing through!

Smoke ring, texture, staying but pulling off the bone. Pure perfection! Did I mention the Asian/Cajun infused rice? #dabomb. My only critique, his sauce is east coast vinegar style. I ordered the 3-meat plate with brisket, burnt ends, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage, along with the yakisoba noodles and mac & cheese. Every single item was outstanding. The brisket was incredibly tender with a perfect smoke flavor, the burnt ends practically melted in my mouth, and the sausage had just the right amount of spice and cheesy goodness. The sides weren't an afterthought either. The noodles were packed with flavor and the mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and the perfect complement to the barbecue. What makes Shourai unique is how they blend Texas-style BBQ with Japanese influences. It's not a gimmick it genuinely works and creates something special. You can tell they care about the quality of every bite. If you're anywhere near this food truck, do yourself a favor and stop. I'll definitely be back, and I'll be bringing friends with me next time.
