I found fireside online and it was by far the most affordable option in Breckenridge for a single night so I went for it in a two person dorm, and luckily I happened to be the only one in that room that night! The room was definitely snug but it was cozy and very comfortable and I slept very well. Finding the place was also very easy, they provide very clear instructions and there is plenty of parking at the church across the street (just mind their specific parking instructions and you won't have any trouble). Re: the interior: it's actually a very large place with two full baths and one half bath. I never even saw/heard another guest when I came but again it was late. The vibe was that it was a very comfy, chill place - they have soothing music playing over by the office door where the coffee/tea machines are, and there is a small kitchen and living room area. They had a real fire going in the living room area and there were games and books and lots of "things to do" brochures around, so truly it felt like being in a cozy cabin. I genuinely really loved that vibe. Not to mention it's quite close to the main road - you could easily walk but because it was raining heavily the night I came, I did drive all of 3 minutes to avoid walking 15 in the rain to the bar on Main Street I wanted to go to. They also sent me a text when i came in case i had questions, so they are available to help you. Overall - if you're coming and staying here for just a night or two and all you need is a bed/shower/safe space, this place is GREAT. Admittedly the rooms aren't big (at least mine wasn't), but again as a solo traveler it was fine. Would def rec to friends :)

Sturdy, grated outside steps lead to this suite, for safe access and for privacy. The location is unbeatable, just a 3-block walk to town and to all of the shops and restaurants. The "Free Ride" city bus stops in front of the Fireside Inn, and can take you to the Gondola and Breck Station, if you don't feel like making the 7-minute walk. [Tip: Epic Mountain Express shuttle vans from the airport can drop you directly at the Fireside Inn!] Our host Madi communicated beautifully before and during our visit. She and her family have put a lot of love and thought into making this a warm refuge from the cold and excitement that is Breckenridge.

I love anyone who's going to have enough of a sense of humor right there. The couple that runs the place instantly brings you in like you're family. I do not recommend this place for those who don't want a 'home' to stay in. You're going to be offered a hug, you're going to be asked questions, and expected to be somewhat integrated into the large breakfast in the morning. But, it goes easy. They're a second family, with just enough concern, advice, and stories to keep everyone entertained. During my stay here, we met quite a few interesting people (including a couple from Austin, strangely enough). And that's just the people. Across the small two lane road that is almost swallowed in the foreground by the gigantic scene of the twin lakes with what I believe to be Quail Mountain and Mount Hope providing the background to amazing sunsets. And the nearby scenic roads are immensely humbling and amazing. Driving through this valley between Mount Massive, Bald Eagle Mountain and Black Mountain, not to mention the countless other summits, you really get a feel for the mountains. And, at night, the place was so quiet you could hear the leaves knocking into each other in the breeze. And the chipmunks were .. plentiful. I have no hesitations about recommending this place to anyone. I mean, as long as you're looking for a great place to stay with a wonderful atmosphere, great food, and a warm welcome.

My favorite was the Brazilian Light Roast as it was smooth and rich. One can grab a mug and have hot coffee or tea or any of their multiple beverage selections for a small fee. As it's currently winter, the indoor spaces have warm fireplaces and cozy chairs and tables to relax by. One can borrow a DVD for their room or exercise in the basement activity room. Our room was extraordinarily cozy with an amazing and comfortable king size bed with fresh bedding as well as a little electric fireplace and lots of lighting options. A white noise machine was made available as were fans and robes and bathroom amenities. I really enjoyed not having to carry around a key in my pocket or even a rfid card as the rooms have codes on the electronic locks. Very intelligent design. I had been planning a "men's adventure" with friends from out of state for a couple of years. We all wanted some time in the woods without sleeping on the ground Mt Elbert Lodge was a natural choice. This was my first time staying here since the new owners took over. What a pleasant surprise! They're very nice and welcoming, the mattresses were new and oh so comfortable, and the barn had been freshened up without losing any of it's old timey charm. This made for the perfect launch point for our daily adventures into the surrounding area. Our days were filled with fishing in the streams, renting e-bikes in BV, and doing the Interlaken trail. Then we'd return in the evening to unwind by the campfire with cigars and stories while the sun faded and the stars presented themselves. It's been many years since I've seen so many stars! My only piece of construction criticism is, I wish they provided wood for the campfire. Even if they wanted to charge a reasonable fee for it, like 6 pieces for $5. Having a campfire really added to our stay and if the wood was already there it would've been easier. Beyond that, it was a flawless experience and I look forward to returning in the future.
