Ordered a woodstove in late 2022. They had it in stock but were backed-up in installs. Installed late January of 2023. The chimney is a little crooked but no big deal. Had to have a roofer come out twice and fix a leak, at their expense. A year later the leak came back and had a contractor repair it. Other than that the woodstove has been a great. It's a small Pacific Energy stove, very efficient for our small space. No issues with it. I would recommend them, but make sure the chimney is sealed properly. read more

Buckeye came out and did an inspection in 2023, identifying a major issue with my wood burning stove. We had them replace it with a pellet stove and it was a fine heating source to supplement the propane furnace. Fast forward to 2025, our furnace goes out. I crank the heat on this pellet stove from low to high, and that bad boy heats our entire house, about 2500 sqft, with two levels!!! We have been going on a week with no furnace and this has been a life saver. It looks great, works even better, and Buckeye has been nothing but perfect to work with. Highly recommend! read more

Do not use them! Do not trust them! Even their own employees don't trust their work. I had them come out for an install, inspection, and sweep. The tech couldn't figure out how to put the pipe in straight, so just left it crooked telling us it was safe to use, but gave us some tape "in case it leaks." Guess what. It leaked. The first time we used our stove after the install, our house filled with smoke. We called them back and asked for another service. When the new tech came out, he told us that the previous tech did a "shotty" job and said "no wonder it's leaking." Apparently there was a crack and all the seals were worn beyond use "which is something the first technician should have noticed." We were also told that another thing that could have contributed to the leak was the fact that the pipe was cut too short and had a gap. We were told it would take a couple days to get the parts and agreed for them to make the repairs. A month later after not hearing back from them, I called only to find out that my work order had been "completed." Their notes indicated that we had received a "resweep." I explained to Kandi exactly what I just said in this review, to which she responded "that's not what I'm showing." "I know that. Your guys didn't take proper notes nor did they order the parts that they said I needed. That's why I'm talking to you." We went a couple more weeks without hearing from them, so my fiancée called and spoke to the owner. I believe her name is Lorraine. She told us that she had made the decision not to fix our stove (but decided not to let us know her decision) and that we would need to buy a new one. We did. We scheduled an estimate, which they ended up just doing over the phone anyways. I asked to talk to the owner. We talked for a couple minutes, but kept going in circles with me saying I want the bad work and false inspection they did to be accounted for in the pricing of the install. She kept saying I can't use the stove as it stands... duh. She kept saying a service was performed, so we're not getting any money back. I kept saying it was performed improperly which is where the problem lies, but she wouldn't even acknowledge it. Eventually she just hung up on me. I called back and told her I just want my money back. She said she's not giving it back because my stove can't be worked on. I reminded her it's her employee's fault, to which she just hung up on me again. Oh, another thing. A note to the owner. Don't let your employees show up to people's houses with confederate flags! That's beyond unprofessional! Granted it was just a keychain attached to his belt loop, but it was plain as day. If I showed up to work with that, I'd be fired the moment I got out of my car! read more

These people installed a chimney liner for me four years ago. They didn't give me any papaerwork for it as they claim they did or tell me they had to clean it once a year to cover the warranty. Now it has tears on it above the clay liner and there only option they gave me is to replace it again on my dime for another 3000. They won't cover the 15 year warranty read more

Horrible! Ordered an electric fireplace that took 2 months to come in and then all the parts weren't with it. They didn't even call to tell me. I had to ask the installers, who had no idea on installation. My part finally came in and then was told it would be another month to put it in! Awful customer service. Horrible customer service!!! If you don't speak with the owner directly you will get nothing but lies. We purchase a $4,000 fireplace from them. Was given the wrong dimensions and pamphlet. Paid a contractor to frame everything in so we'd be ready for the stove. Stove arrived and it was much larger than what the pamphlet said. Long story short we paid several hundred dollars more to have it fixed. They argued with us and said it wasn't their fault (although they were the one that gave us the pamphlet... but wait it was our fault). 2 months later after the stove was installed, by them. The chimney pipe began to leak. We called and they said it was due to wind damage. (we were told this over the phone. They never even sent anyone out to check to see what the actual problem was) Really? Only 2 months later!!!! We had to pay a service call for them to come out and repair it. They never told us what the actual problem was. Just told us it was fine, that they sealed it up even more and should be fine. I would not recommend this company to anyone after what we went through and how many more hundreds of dollars we spent fixing their mistakes. read more

Over priced company that is not honest. They came to fix out stove and said they did. Told us that if the problem continues to give them and call and they would come back for free. Problem continued, called them, they came said it was a different problem and charged us the full amount of the service call. You cannot trust this company to fix your problem and stand by their work. A VERY DISHONEST COMPANY. Stove is still not working properly. $400 dollars wasted. read more

WE bought our High Valley stove during T.A.R.P., and after discussing the requirements of size of the home, efficiency of stoves, features, I settled on a High Valley 1600 which can heat our entire 1500 sq ft. The stainless pipe is expensive anywhere, all in all we think it was a good deal, GREAT when you consider the TARP incentives. The owner and crew showed up to install when they said they would and the whole thing went well. They didn't mind me taking pictures for the home insurance company as they went along. They were careful w/ our home as they installed, and other than one tiny drip around the roof collar when it storms (which I fixed w/ a bit of silicone sealer) all went well. I have had one bird work its way into the stove as I have an open type chimney cap, so I recommend the screened cap, I bought a brush from them w/o rods, I put a long rope on the brush, drop it down the chimney and pull the brush from below, w/ a bucket under the chimney, and since I run a good hot fire,with quality wood, the pipe is always very clean. Give Buckeye Stoves a try, works for me. read more

Terrible, scatter-brained service. After a fireplace service call, they forgot to order the part needed for a family member which should have taken a week to arrive & finish the repair. After 3 weeks, multiple phone calls & one stop into the store, the part was finally ordered with overnight delivery. The technician appeared to not want to do the job (after arriving 2 hours late) & spent an hour doing things like changing batteries (which he then pocketed), only to be mad he actually had to make the repair & replace the part he came to replace. He then attempted to charge a second service fee, although the original tech who evaluated for the problem said it wouldn't be a charge since this was just the completion of the job. Upon inspection of the bill, the customer was charged the overnight delivery fee, although THEY were the ones who forgot to order the part in the first place which caused the work to be delayed by 2 weeks! Avoid if you can! Once you buy a fireplace from them they are the ONLY local business who can do the repairs. Trust me, it's not worth the headache. read more

had an appoint on august , 21, guys showed up they didn't want to push from the top down as I requested.. I let them push up to the top , I went out side to make sure they got all the way up. one time up and backed out the spinner type whip brush they said they had gotten all the creosote on the way up. today is nov. 9 2018, we just came back from visiting our out of state , and the weather here has been warm 50's.. we started the stove the morning of the 8th of nov. .. by the next morning we had heard stuff falling in the stove pipe to the cleanout.. we usually clean the stack myself but had shoulder surgery . we move the stove to check the stack and a good thig we checked . the stack has a 5" drop off the thumble .. so the drop was full and half way up the 8" thimble. that was a bad house fire waiting to happen even in a stainless liner.. we trying to get in touch with the co. now and tell them . not even 2 days of burning, we brush the stack 1 time a month while its in use ,we will continue to do it ourselves.. save yourself the worry .. read more
