Then we met one of the stallions and fed him carrots. We got in our cars and drove to meet some mares and foals. Took a bit for the mares to come and greet us but they all did eventually. Very friendly horses, especially when you have carrots. Lastly we saw the yearling fillies. Beautiful setting. This was so fun, highly recommend if in the area.

We were 3 adults and a toddler, thankfully we paid a reduced price to enter the activity area because only the toddler did anything & it was too cold / wet to do most of the activities. She loved the petting zoo area & had a blast in the corn pit. I recommend going even on a day the sun doesn't shine. Be sure to wear boots.

I haven't found the staff to be friendly, and I didn't get a response to my email about whether the farm house and its beautiful patio are open any time or just for events. The nature trail closes at 4:00 each day which means no after-work walks, and the farm store is quite small. But it's still a special place and definitely deserves 5 stars.

The staff is very informative and friendly. They take their time providing detailed history of each horse you see. We were able to pet a couple and feed all of them. Remember, put the carrot on an open/flat palm. We met Silver Charm, the oldest Living Kentucky Derby winner. We met Preakness Stakes Winners, I'll Have Another and Big Brown. We also met Hall of Fame, Lava Man. Over $150 equine athletes in the facility. I will return someday soon to do the Founders Tour!! First there is no fees to do the activities but they had less activities because it is a true growing farm. Many animals walking around and you could purchase feed to feed the goats for a small fee. We enjoyed seeing the longhorn cattle on our way there and all the chickens walking around. We rode out to the pumpkin patch on a wagon pulled by a tractor. The pumpkin patch is really large and the ride was quite nice. We bought a small pumpkin that was reasonably priced at $4.00.

They had things ready for all ages. It was nice that they had a separate area for egg hunting and they requested that the children take up to 12 eggs each. They also had a face painting station, an area to feed animals, craft site, and more. My little one also loved the wagon ride! The large wagon took people on a tour of the farm. I had no idea how big it was and how many things they produced. We definitely intend to return in order to pick strawberries and apples. It was great, inexpensive fun for us and I can see this being a family tradition.
