They had tons of games/activities for kids like balloon making and soccer and toss the ring on the bull. It was so well thought out. We took the wagon ride to the flower and pumpkin fields and they also had a corn maze! So much fun, you could pick a bouquet if you wanted. I was able to bring my yorkie with me and he had a blast. They had plenty of photo ops. I think everything was reasonably priced, the owners were very nice. There was so much to do we didn't get enough time to feed the animals! Definitely go with time. I got there two hours till close because I didn't anticipate the drive from Lexington.

We purchased peaches, pears, and delicious apples. The prices were reasonable in my opinion. The apples and pears were in a small bag with a handle priced at $7 per bag. There were probably 18 to 25 items per bag. I do not remember the price of the peaches but they were reasonable. The orchard was just past Centerville Kentucky. You crossed a small bridge over a creek to go to the orchard. They had a cider operation that was not in operation yet. Apparently, I am an idiot who does not know how to feel inside a carcass of a turkey for giblets…read moreand a neck. Sarcasm people! How do you miss a neck and giblets in a turkey? Not only did they rob me of my neck and giblets and cut out a chunk of the turkey, most real farms include herbs from their garden for brining. This heritage turkey had absolutely no flavor of game to convince me it was raised wild. I have prepared and roasted goose, duck, and wild turkey for over 20 years for my family, and this farm is not authentic. They are a mass prouder that can't keep their facilities straight enough for quality control! Hello Via, Thanks for your message, I am thinking you are not finding the bag of giblets in your turkey? We use a local USDA butcher to process all of our meats, and he packages the giblets and neck from each turkey and then adds them back into the cavity. The package can be difficult to reach and you may have to try from both ends of the turkey. You will also need to wait until the turkey is completely thawed to reach the pack as it will be frozen and stuck inside. We have never encountered a situation where the neck and giblets are missing, but it is not impossible, as each turkey is handled by a person, not machines. Because of your distance, we are unable to get you another package of giblets today. If you don't find them, do let us know. We can offer you a $5 credit towards a future Elmwood purchase. This could be put towards another shipping order or next year's turkey. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please reach out if you have any questions and I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving! Thanks, Ann Elmwood Stock Farm $129 for a 7lb heritage and $70 for shipping. Do not make the same mistake I did. I have to admit that upon hearing the name of this festival, I had no interest in attending. I…read moreactually thought it was going to be literally a sandwich on a lawn with old men aka "POPS". Please note, this is not the case. Picnic With The Pops is a two night event that takes place every year inside Keeneland. You can buy general admission aka picnic blanket seating or you may purchase tables that seat up to 8 people. Either way you can hear and see the stage with ease from any location on the lawn. It is great for young and old alike. The festival features the Lexington Philharmonic and a random guest(s). This year happened to feature Wycliffe Gordon and the theme was "Night on Bourbon Street". Why does the theme matter, you ask? Well, my kiddies, besides the tone of the music provided for the evening there is a table decorating contest based off this theme. This table decorating thing was serious. People brought in props and decorations and lavish place sittings. Just to deck out their table to be the chosen one. I was really impressed. There was even a table bribing people with voodoo cookies. Bribes I say, just kidding. The cookie was yummy. The winning 3 tables get their names announced and received a prize. This being a picnic wouldn't be legit without food and drink. The event provided a food truck and some drink vendors, but you were encouraged to BYOB. For those of you who aren't familiar with that term, BYOB is Bring Your Own Booze or Juice as I like to say. Some people even opted to have their night catered. I went as a guest at the Yelp table. I was fortunate enough to have Lyles BBQ cater for us. Chandler brought the food piping hot to our table and wished us a good evening before disappearing into the night. I would really recommend them for catering any event. A few other things to note...You can't get into the parking area without your ticket in your hot little hands, but the ticket takers will allow you to pull to the side and wait for your party. The next thing which I found awsome, the Boy Scouts and their little red wagons unloaded and delivered the coolers and decorations to the tables/area. How awsome is that? The Boy Scouts! They didn't even get a badge for it. Hats off to them for sure. So if you like music and food while surround by friends and fun, get tickets next time you see them go on sale. It was a great time and great festival. I will more than likely attend again.
