I was very happy with the doctor and the service at the time and they really helped me out because my regular dentist was on vacation given the holiday season. However one year later the crown popped out of my mouth today. I take excellent care of my teeth, floss twice a day properly, and see my primary dentist for cleanings and x-rays. I also use other things like an interdental to keep plaque off my teeth. The crown had to be glued back in my mouth and it was basically a five minute procedure. However I was required to pay $51 and was told that this is billable. This is absolutely outrageous. The original work that was done by the dentist should not result in a crown popping out of somebody's mouth after only one year. I am very upset about being nickel and dimed in this fashion. Additionally, the front desk person intimated that it was my care of my teeth which resulted in this problem. I can't tell you how fuming mad I am about this accusation on her part. Update--they reversed the charge per the front desk person. So therefore I changed my review.

I've been to a wide array of dentists in my life, since I have moved a lot, and have also gone to mainstream, alternative, and integrative dentists, and everything in between! Dr. Levey far surpasses even the ones I liked the best. The entire office staff is exceedingly welcoming and kind, and talk to you as a person, rather than a patient. I actively enjoyed my conversations with the receptionist, dental assistant, and Dr. Levey! As far as Dr. Levey himself, I can't express enough what a wonderful dentist and person he is. He was genuine and compassionate, listened well, did not judge anything I said, and explained everything extremely thoroughly, both at the beginning and step-by-step as he was doing the lengthy procedure. He asked frequently if I felt okay and reminded me to let him know at any time if I needed something, and managed both to make conversation and show extreme diligence, focus, and competence. I felt one hundred percent comfortable with him during every moment of my visit. He even spent some time talking to me after the visit, and did not rush away. Also, though I had to come back to do the actual procedure after the initial assessment, he invited me back the same day rather than making me wait. Additionally, even though I had some pretty major things done, including laser cutting some of my infected gum away, and drilling and filling a very major cavity where part of my tooth had fallen off, I had almost no pain at all when the numbing agent wore off! And I am extremely sensitive so that is rare for me. I would imagine this is because he did a stellar job. I would say that my experience here was not only "not bad"; it was highly positive, and even enjoyable, because of the quality of the people. I have had a fear of the dentist for the past 10 years, following a bad experience, and that has now been reversed. Thank you to Dr. Levey and the entire team!

I came in terrified when I had seen a dark spot on one of my molars, but he thoroughly explained the problem and was incredibly sensitive and thoughtful when addressing my concerns. After taking X-rays and examining my mouth, Dr. Schwartz found several other cavities. I appreciated the thorough examination. However, I explained very clearly that, due to my financial situation, I only wanted to address my two urgent problems: my broken crown and the tooth that was causing me pain. I planned to take care of the other issues later when I could afford them. Unfortunately, I felt that my wishes were not respected. The day I came in for my dental cleaning with Renata, who was absolutely wonderful and very kind, I wasn't sure whether I would feel well enough to begin dental treatment afterward. When I scheduled my cleaning, I had explained that I would decide that day depending on how I felt. However, I was told by the receptionist that if I didn't start treatment that same day, I would have to pay a significant portion of the fee again because my appointment couldn't be changed. I felt pressured into proceeding, even though I wasn't comfortable. The most upsetting part happened when Dr. Schwartz numbed a tooth that wasn't bothering me and prepared to begin treatment there instead of on the tooth that was actually causing me pain. I stopped him and asked, "Why are you working on this tooth? I specifically asked you to treat the painful tooth first." I had made my priorities very clear from the beginning, yet I felt they were ignored. Instead of listening to what I wanted and what I could afford, I felt the treatment plan was driven by what the office preferred rather than by my immediate needs. I left the office heartbroken, disappointed, and upset. My mouth was numb from the injection, and I could barely speak. More than anything, I felt unheard. Every patient deserves to have their concerns listened to and their treatment priorities respected, especially when financial limitations are clearly communicated. While I found the staff member Renata to be exceptional, my overall experience with Dr. Schwartz left me feeling that my wishes were not respected, and because of that, I cannot recommend him based on my personal experience.

His work is fantastic and far less painful than my experience with other dentist I have seen over the years. It's the first time I actually look forward to going to the dentist. In fact my wife asked me why I was so happy one morning and I said "because I'm going to the dentist today for a cleaning and checkup" she said that I was weird. Perhaps I am but I feel like home here and among friends they are warm inviting and friendly people who all go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. They make you feel like your their favorite patient and are just as happy to see you too. That is so rare. As for me and my teeth we are driving a little bit further than I would like but it's totally worth it. His prices are fair and his work is the best I have seen. Talk about attention to detail. I'm a patient for life. Well done
