In the chair, get some x-rays and then dentist, Dr Nicholas comes in to check me out and do the long overdue cleaning. Given that this is long overdue, the process was relatively painless. Afterwards, she discussed my situation, made some recommendations and we came up with a treatment plan. While the news is not all good, I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. When scheduling, I made it very clear that I would need nitrous due to dental anxiety. After arriving, I waited over an hour past my appointment time, only to finally be told by the receptionist--without any empathy--that I couldn't have nitrous because they had "used the last of the oxygen." This is not a small oversight. For patients with anxiety, this kind of preparation and communication is essential. To wait that long, after traveling and arranging childcare for a newborn, only to be dismissed so casually is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. If you experience dental anxiety and rely on accommodations like nitrous, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
