I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Peekskill Dental Associates, specifically…read morethe receptionist who answers the phones and schedules appointments. This is now my third negative experience with her. Every time I call, she comes across as rude, impatient, and as though she doesn't want to be there. She offers no solutions and speaks to patients with a dismissive attitude. Today, my appointment had to be rescheduled because the hygienist wasn't available. I called more than 20 times trying to reschedule and even left a voicemail. When someone finally answered, the call was disconnected. After that, I called from a different phone because I genuinely felt like my calls were being ignored. When I tried to reschedule, I simply asked her to tell me the available day first so I could decide what time worked for me. Instead of helping, she told me, "You can call back on Monday since you're being nasty," even though I was only trying to schedule my appointment. When I asked for her name, she sarcastically responded, "My name is 'Call back on Monday,'" instead of identifying herself. I then attempted to ask for her manager's name, but she abruptly hung up before I could finish speaking. That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. There was no reason for the way I was treated. Patients deserve to be spoken to with courtesy and respect, especially when they are trying to reschedule an appointment that the office itself had to change. The dentists and hygienists may provide excellent care, but the first impression of any practice is the person answering the phone. Unfortunately, this receptionist's behavior has been consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Because of these repeated experiences, I will not be returning to this office. I hope the practice addresses this issue by providing customer service training or reevaluating whether this person is the right fit for a patient-facing role. No patient should have to deal with this kind of treatment simply for trying to reschedule an appointment.

The staff are extremely professional, and friendly. I have always left the office with my issue getting resolved. My wife is a patient there, as well. Had to use this office because they are on my dental plan and close to where I live. The dentist, Dr. Ilan, claimed he doesn't do veeneers even though I had the piece that fell off, and told me he would fix the problem with a crown. The doctor is very rough and does not have any kind of bedside manner. He filed down the tooth in question and put a temporary crown in. The first time I went back to get my permanent crown, it didn't fit correctly so they ordered a new one. The second time I went back he knocked out another of my veneers when trying, roughly I might add, to remove the temporary crown. When this happened he left the room and left the explanation of what happened to his dental assistant and office manager to explain to me. He never apologized or even tried to comfort me. So when I got upset and questioned how he was going to fix this, I was told he would glue the veneer back in. So if this was the case that he could glue it back in, why didn't he do that to the first veneer I lost instead of charging me a $250.00 co pay for a crown. I had the piece that fell off, but was told he doesn't do veneers. I left the office without my crown, plus another tooth that has to be fixed by another dentist due to his incompetence. He was rude when I left because I told him he was a sh&&&y dentist. He rudely asked what made me an expert on dentistry so I told him my mouth and the fact that he messed up a tooth that wasn't mess up to begin with.

Dr. Bassin's wonderful office staff got in touch with me Monday morning and got me in for an…read moreemergency that I had had over the weekend. I had never been to his office, but my own dentist never returned my call. (That's twice, Dr. Lyu!!) Dr. Bassin moves quietly and confidently. He told me I would feel a pinch but I never felt a thing. I honestly could have fallen asleep while he was working on me because none of his movements were jarring or rough. I am appreciative that he got me in, thankful to interact with his lovely office manager, amazed at how painless it was, and grateful his prices are fair because I didn't have my insurance card. I found a wonderful new dentist who has earned my business.

The rooms are too small and cramped (both the waiting room and where you get your check-ups), but if you can look past that, the staff is friendly and the doctor is wonderful.

I'm normally afraid of dentists because most of the ones I'd been to have been kind of rough and intimidating. She is very nice and honest. The office is in an apartment complex so you have to be very careful to only Park in one of the four visitor spots available as soon as you turn into the complex. They have signs posted everywhere letting you know spots are reserved and you'll be towed so be careful not to park in the wrong place!
