What an interesting place this Buca Di Beppo is. Old school dining to match its old school decor. From the well worn carpet to the to the dusty pictures on the walls, you'll feel as if you walked into a ristorante off of the Piazza Navona. All that's missing is old Blue Eyes himself. Well, not exactly. He's well represented in some of the numerous photos strewn across the walls, watching the goings-on. He's accompanied by the usual plastic grape vines hanging from the ceiling complete with clusters of plastic grapes. So, as you can see, a real class joint. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the place, just pointing out some of its.... charm. The menu at Buca boasts such delicacies as Chicken Limone, Salmon Sorrento, and Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken. If that's too uppity for you, there are the standard pasta dishes and lasagna (which I call Italian meatloaf). If you feel adventurous, you might want to recline in your chair while enjoying Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Be forewarned, that selection may introduce you to The Devils Brother. That would come later in the evening. I thought that their food was a good standard fare. The Chicken Parm and spaghetti with meatballs filled me up, that night, and the next night too! No single portions here. It's either small or large, feeding 3 or 5 mouths. If you're gluten-free, you may want to choose the Chicken Limone. It fills the bill. Be prepared to eat, cause eating you'll do. There's no shortage on the plate. Don't confuse Buca Di Beppo with your hometown family, Italian eatery. They have 68 locations nationwide. So they're by no means mom and pop. You'll recognize that by the absence of cloth napkins. It's strictly tovaglioli di carta. Ask for extra. If you ask me, was it worth the price? I'd answer probably so. Especially since unless you're super hungry, you'll get two meals out of it. One in tacky atmosphere, and one at home. I'll let you decide which is tackier. At my home, there are no plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling. Maybe a few cobwebs though.....but only in the corners, only in the corners. Quick Tip: If you need to take care of business while at Beppo, you'll have to make the trip through the kitchen. When we were ushered through, there was what we were told was water on the floor. I'm not sure if it was actually water, or if someone let loose. I'm glad that I didn't order the lemonade. read more

I came here a few months ago to order the penne a la vodka since it's my favorite and have had it countless times at the city walk location. However, it was made extremely spicy to the point that we couldn't enjoy it at all and as a Mexican I know spicy foods. We told the manager, but she didn't believe us. Instead of being understanding, she was condescending and brought out a super bland replacement that tasted like unsalted tomato paste with milk. We decided it to give it another chance today however when the manager recognized us I'm assuming she said something to the cooks because we received another bland tasteless pasta without any spice. We aren't sensitive to spice, we just wanted it made like regular. Manager was again really condescending and didn't listen to us. She could've at least communicated with us before changing our pasta! Other than that the waiters are extremely nice and helpful! Came for Valentine's Day and was not disappointed! We got the lasagna dinner and everything was great. First out was garlic bread and we ordered extra hot marinara sauce on the side. Also we each had the house wine. It was ok. Then we had a salad that we added Gorgonzola and spiced walnuts to. It was so yummy and fresh! The heart shaped lasagna came next and it was huge! We took most of it home and it was still good for lunch yesterday. The cannoli could have used more filling as they were kinda hollow in the middle. Otherwise I loved it. No offense but Olive Garden who? Lol I wanted authentic pasta! A place with a vibe and great customer service and coming here I almost got it all! Let me explain..... First off parking is in the back, but there is also parking on the street. I made reservations however when I arrived early they were able to seat us quickly. The hostess was very polite and nice and friendly. We were seated. Our waitress was ummmmm interesting I guest. She was not rude at all but her personality was very "im just here for the paycheck" if that makes any sense lol. I don't even know if she gave us her name. Again not rude just mediocre and very forgettable. She did her job, but didn't do anything impressive. We ordered a Cesar's salad and it was good BUT I would have preferred to add my own dressing. It was too much for me. I like very light dressing. I wasn't aware it would come already tossed. We order the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni and Chicken Carbonara and let me tell you my table was quiet. Food was so good and yummy we ate and ate and ate! Everything was delicious! We had enough to take home which was awesome. Pasta is always good the next day. Came in to eat here with my family . Wasn't really expecting too much . I was a bit confused about the menu , never really been to a restaurant that serves big portions . Our server, Andrea was very helpful with the menu. She answered every question that I had that I was confused about. She recommended the spicy chicken rigatoni and the chicken carbonara. It was all ok. The seating was fast but after that, definitely a wait. Took ages for the waters, took longer for the one glass of wine we ordered. The food is served family style, and while the portions are large, everything came out one dish at a time so we weren't really eating our whole meal at once. One large issue we noticed was hearing the wait staff loudly discuss each table - whether the table was currently occupied or not. It was awkward to say the least. The restaurant is HUGE! Staff are helpful with food choices and popular dishes. We sat in the Pope's room and it was a little creepy to have the Popes top half body and eyes staring at us. We had to cover his figure with a table napkin. We came for a birthday and brought our own cake. They do charge a fee for bringing outside food. read more
