Subs got here with veryyyy little ingredients and I had to remake everything and throw out a huge portion of the bread then throw it in the oven to heat it all back up! This place is fire. I hesitated on ordering from here because I'm usually not a big fan of the classic italian sub style sandwiches, but figured I'd give it a try because I've heard good things and wow was it a good sandwich. Got the firebird and I've never tasted fresher ingredients on a sandwich before. This place showed me the light on what a sub should taste like. Would love to see them branch out into some more interesting sandwiches, I bet this place would make a killer cuban or some more roast beef sandwiches. First time order today, went with a Cheesy Beef and got my wife the Southwest Chicken made as a salad. The beef sandwich was very good, as most have written. The salad, however, was pathetic. Small and pretty few ingredients, not at all on par with the sandwich. I would say it was actually quite a bit worse than the kind of salad you would get at McDonald's or Wendy's. Pretty sad for $9. I have come to this place now 10 times. I've gotten a mix of their Italian beef and other Italian cold subs and have yet to be disappointed! I highly recommend their #10 as it's the run-of-the-mill Italian style cold sub that does the trick. They make their own giardinera and it's phenomenal! QUICKIE: GO here for the BIGGEST ITALIAN sub on the best homemade Loaf....DELICIOUS! LONG VERSION: Went here for a sub finally... got the "spiel"; homemade Italian loaf...I'd Say about 16" for and XL or half of that for the "reg" sub HUGE LOAVES....and delicious... As I ran down the menu...I noticed most of the sandwiches have Italian Charcuterie, Hot Capy (my personal fav) Mortadella, Salami, pepperoni, even Krakus polish ham..I'm in heaven.... I ordered an XL...Godfather, I think...but noticing it didn't have pepperoni or ham on it...I asked the chef if he could put them both on it making this sandwich a Supreme!!! "No Problem" he says...as he proceeds to put HUGE whole slices of Krakus Ham, 4 to be exact, over 6 monster size pepperonis, and basically the same amount of all the other cold cuts they offer...with provolone cheese....not a skimpy sandwich! I finish my sub in typical subway fashion, veggies, mayo, mustard, oil & vinegar, spices... I took it to go...skipped beverages, but grabbed 2 bags of chips...they have my favorite the cheddar sour cream Ruffles... out the door for $16.... This sub rocked...it was delicious...I want another...I want to force feed my friends who don't eat pork one of these sandwiches... i want them to taste the glory that is hot capicola.... I don't feel its over priced...it's literally twice the sandwich of jimmy johns, and even if i added drinks, and gave half of my sub away... you would still have two 8" subs, 2 bags of chips, and two drinks for around $20... I have gotten far less at Alg sub shop, for $25...sorry A.S.S. Stopped in the other day to try the newest Sandwich shop in the area. Dom and his boys were very helpful in helping me decide what to have on my first visit. I was in the mood for an Italian sandwich, but the boys kept telling me how great the beef was. What is a man to do? ORDER BOTH! Went with two small (or regulars they call them) subs and went with the Cheesy Beef and the Godfather. The Italian Beef was well seasoned, and could rival anyone in the area. Very tender and juicy beef. Cheese oozing from the sandwich (check the picture) but not overwhelming. Can't wait to go back and try the other beefs! Italian came with your choice of toppings, and a homemade giardiniera which was quite good for being homemade. Loved the combination of meats on the sandwich, in this case Mortadella, Capicola, and Salami. What I especially loved about my sandwiches was the bread. Seems to me that someone spent a lot of time and trial and error to get their bread perfect. Soft and chewy on the inside, with just enough crunch on the outside to hold the sandwich together perfectly. Bread is such an important component to a sandwich, that I can't believe more places don't pay more attention to it. Others should take note of Bub's bread. It's that good! All in all, I was very pleased with my visit. I really like the menu as there are sandwiches on there that have combos I haven't seen before. This will draw me back multiple times! Staff was very friendly. Atmosphere wasn't much, but seriously, it's a sandwich shop. I don't really care about the atmosphere, just keep it clean. And they do. See you soon Bub! read more

I have yet to have a negative experience here, but at this point, I consider that impossible given that these guys are always respectful, caring, and always happy to see a customer come through their door. Their subs are better than any other place I've had, Algonquin Sub Shop almost ties with them, but they would be my 2nd choice after this place any day. I always get the #8 Firebird, and while I have yet to try their other subs, I'm really too hooked on this one to try anything else! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get a high quality sub sandwich for a reasonable price. read more

Bubs subs is the spot why go anywhere else so subs. I drive close to 30 minutes just to come to this spot. The have very good beef and I recommend the Diablo sandwich, but you can't go wrong on what you get here and the have root beer and many different brands. read more

Been here twice now and am duly impressed with the level of service and the freshness of the ingredients. I had the Wise Guy sandwich which is very tasty. In addition to many cold subs, they offer several hot ones, including Italian beef. The different levels of flavors in my sandwich were incredible. The oil/vinegar addition really makes the sandwich. While a little on the pricey side, Bub's has thrown down the gauntlet in the suburban sub shop world. Let's see how many take up the challenge and raise their bar too. read more

So, I normally frequent jimmy Johns out of ease, however it doesn't compare at all to BUBS! Cost wise they're the same if not more cost effective to goto BUBS, better ingredients, better quality. The turkey I had today looked like I used a commercial slicer on thanksgiving dinner, not Walmart brand fresh value that's slimy etc... I got my buddy who is not a fan of gardinera period to try and he's a fan. Bottom line if your in Algonquin and want a real sandwich with proper fresh ingredients skip the rest and goto BUBS read more
