My brother had been raving about this place for a long time and I finally decided to try it. Hands down their subs top anywhere else in the area. Jimmy John's, Subway, Quizno's, Galloway's, doesn't even come close. The sandwiches are huge! They don't skimp on any ingredients. The meats are all sourced from Caputo Brothers next door, which has a great deli with a lot of fantastic, flavorful, quality meats. The ham tastes like ham, the turkey tastes like turkey, unlike Subway, where everything tastes the same. The bread is probably the best sandwich bread I've ever had anywhere. Crunchy outside, soft inside, great flavor. They house make their giardiniera and ranch dressing. Both are fantastic. The giardinera has just the right amount of kick. The ranch is rich and creamy with just a hint of dill. Perfect sub for mayo, I hate mayo. I had the #6, the Bub Club, ham, turkey, bacon, and I subbed Provolone for American cheese. They run it through the oven, and then top it with whatever fresh veggies you would like. It was delicious! And I was REALLY full after finishing a 6". I will definitely be back to Bubs and would tell anyone in the area to check it out. It will definitely be my new favorite lunch spot when I am out in the burbs. read more

Had the BLTurkey toasted sub the first visit. Man people weren't kidding this place is great! The fresh bread and good quality meat really seals the deal for me. I opted to add swiss cheese and homemade ranch dressing. Oh wow that was good! Came back about a week later this time brought my husband who tried the El Nino (awesome). I got the turkey and capicola sandwich with chipotle mayo. It was a little spicy and i loved it. Been telling all my friends about this place. I'm so glad it's close to home. I always have the beef sandwhich...amazingly great! I've been here countless times and often bring new guests. I have yet to hear anyone say they didn't fully enjoy the food. The staff is your typical teenage to early twenties group and are always friendly. The owner takes pride in his business and we're always excited to return. Not your standard run-of-the-mill sandwich shop. Doesn't even compare to your Subways, Potbellies, or Paneras of the world. This shop does it right. Darn fine subs made with the fixings you want on the freshest bread with freshly sliced meats, not some prepackaged garbage shipped in. Took me awhile to get over here but im glad i did. This place makes subway look horrible. Everything here is actually fresh. Two sizes small and regular. I should have gotten two smalls but that was my fault. I got the #6 with chipolte mayo. It was fantastic you can taste how fresh the bread is. They also have green river!!! 2 out of 3 isn't so bad. First two times we ordered we were shocked how good the subs were, but then the fall... Last time the food was terrible The beefs were dry and the the Italian was tasteless. The bread at all times was great so perhaps it was just an off day for the Bubs Subs crew. UPDATE: I don't usually change my reviews but I wanted to see if my previous experience was just a fluke. So...I returned. Not once, twice...actually I've been back about seven times. Each time, the subs were FANTASTIC. My wife and I went here after reading the good reviews. We split a large beef sandwich and we were both full from it. The beef sandwich is very good, I would recommend getting the giardiniera for the sandwich - it is really good. We felt the prices were a bit high, but the sandwich was very tasty. Hopefully the owner hires some more help, because when the crowd picks up at lunchtime, the wait can get long. The decor is bland and not very inviting, which I would assume will get better as the business ages. All in all, I am excited to go back and try another sandwich. I do not think you will be disappointed with this place. read more

Stopped in here for lunch. It was just ok, nothing special. I had the Three Amigos sub. It wasn't too out of the ordinary, but wasn't bad either. I may come back to try a different sub. The staff was moderately friendly. One guy asked how my sub was. I love that they have Green River in their fountain machine! That's the best part of this place. The prices were a little high for a standard sub place. $6 for a 6" and $11 for a 12" I think I'd prefer Algonquin Sub Shop or even Jersey Mike's over this place. read more

Loved this place. Been there a few times now. Wait staff great and knowledgeable alway willing to offer slow just a little something different on the sandwich. I did have an issue this past time though. I would have said they used a lot of meat on the sandwich but this time they counted the slices and they had not done that before. I liked that they made a great deli sandwich not too much but just right. They kind you enjoy and taste each different meats. The prices were the average around town but before they were a buck less which was a good price. Something has changed. I feel everyone should try it. read more

Bub's has got the best subs in the area hands-down. The bread is fresh, and just right. All of the meats and toppings are fresh and delicious too. Being new to the area, we've been trying out various local places. This is one of our favorites for lunch. Always greeting cheerfully, there's the smell of fresh bread when you walk in. A great menu, something for everyone and their beef is so good. Did I mention the bread, it's soft and chewy, not too hard of a crust and when it's toasted it's just yumm. I haven't tried too many different subs but plan to in the future. We really like eating in as compare to take out and it's always a good experience. read more

The service could use a little work sometimes and it's a little expensive for a sandwich but it's worth it for the flavors. Tried for the first time tonight. The hubby loved his Club Bub. I highly enjoyed my Three Amigos. Guy who made our sandwiches (not positive but we think the owner from how he talked) was extremely friendly and talkative. On the downside he was very slow in making our sandwiches. Not a big deal tonight but makes me think twice about stopping when in a hurry. The only other negative was the prices. It is a little spendy for a sub shop, but not outrageous. I had the deep dish sub. This place does not look like much from the outside or the inside for that matter. Yet the staff makes up for any short fall of the location. Food is fresh and delicious. Best subs around. All the employees are very pleasant and make sure to greet you when you walk in no matter how busy they are. I eat here about 4-5 times a month. I have tried about a dozen subs and they have all been exceptional. So glad that the new McAllister's that went up right in front of it didn't put them out of business. This place is awesome!!! Walk in the door and get hit in the face with that warm, fresh baked bread smell, it's very comforting. I have tried many of the different subs on the menu, but my all time favorite is the Americano. The bread is so nummy fresh and the Wisconsin cheese adds an extra layer of flavor that I can't seem to get enough of. The staff is always friendly and often ask, "How's your day going". It's a nice feeling to actually have a conversation with people that really care about what they are doing. All restaurant owners should have this much passion and interest in making sure the food quality and service standards are set as high as Dominick"s. read more

The best subs in the area hands down. Walking in, it can be a bit overwhelming. The time's I have gone there are many people sitting enjoying their subs and you have to walk through them to get to the back to order. The menu is huge! The main guy working there took one look at me and knew it was my first time. He ran me through the menu and the different options which was very nice. We always get the Godfather and it does not disappoint. It is a little pricey but everything is always fresh and worth it. The staff is always nice and friendly as well.
