At first, I was doing treatment with Invisalign. When I came to his office for a consult, he asked tons of questions about my experience despite what my previous Orthodontist was telling him. It was like he was wanting to know what I wanted to do rather than run with what my Orthodontist wanted. After I considered wearing braces and starting over because I was tired of waiting for Invisalign and felt that the progress was moving along too slow, he accepted me. My appointment wasn't until weeks later to make sure that I was sure about my decision and I didn't have to pay anything down until the braces were applied. Ever since the application of my braces, I've been very satisfied. He explains what he doing and gives me an update on how my teeth are moving. Since I chose the ceramic braces, he even gave me the option to come in more frequently to have the rubber bands changed because they stain very easily. I'm very happy with my results so far as it's been about 4 months.

Also, have you ever been charged for anesthesia D9215? A regular filling includes numbing the tooth with a shot. To add D9215 is called "unbundling" a procedure from the primary filling code. In other words you were billed twice for the numbing shot. Check your billing statements. I almost missed it.

The only person who treated me with any care was the dental assistant. To make matters worse, they never scanned the insurance info I sent or the signed form for my X-rays. I usually don't have an issue getting in but this time around it was going to be weeks at any of the locations that are close to my home or office and the only appointment I could get was at the Franklin office. This location is very Western Franklin, too, in a part of the town I've never ventured out to. Thankfully the staff was very nice and accommodating, though unfortunately it seemed to take far longer to get the replacement than it normally does. Despite my appointment time, we had to wait a while for the doctor to be available and the work could start. The cost this time around was also significantly higher than my last visit even though the actual time that someone was in my mouth was shorter than previous visits. Inflation? Franklin surcharge? Who can say?

Significant to me is that you can go back in the exam room with your child. There are some pediatric dentists who make it a rule that parents must stay in the waiting room.
