I was so disappointed with our experience and felt like a dollar sign and not a patient. I was told Dr. Bubon would be in after the x-rays to talk to us. He never showed up. Never even spoke to us. Prior to our visit I explained that my daughter had jaw problems. I had questions but, when I realized they just wanted to talk money, I wrapped it up and we finished the appointment. You would think when a child comes in with a unique medical condition, you would want to talk to the parents. I did not feel comfortable the treatment plan was coming from the same person who also handled the financial paperwork. Especially when they have absolutely no knowledge of said medical condition. After it was clear the doctor wasn't coming in, I wrapped up the appointment and left. We went somewhere else and the orthodontist actually looked at her mouth and addressed our concerns. I'm definitely not saving money by going elsewhere, but I feel 100% ok with that. I also hate they push Invisalign on you. I get it, you make money off the product but, no means no.

Let me start by saying that before I started my orthodontic treatment with Dr. McReath, I visited 5 different orthodontists in the Madison area, where I live. After meeting Dr. McReath and his team at my first visit, I knew I was at the right place and well worth the drive to the Sauk Prairie office for my appointments. Both Dr. McReath, the front office staff, and the ortho assistants are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful. Dr. McReath takes the time to explain the treatment plan and allows you to be a part of the plan. Let me add, that I am a very picky individual when it comes to my teeth. This is my second go-round with ortho after having braces as a child, and I am not the easiest patient to please. Dr. McReath has been patient with me and has listened to me explain how I wanted my teeth to look and discuss what was doable and what was not. He then worked with me to develop a plan to move towards that goal and to adjust the plan accordingly as we went along when it was needed. When my daughter was home from Sweden over the holiday and I wanted to see where I could get her a retainer made in only 2 days time, Dr. McReath's office scheduled us in the SAME DAY, and created a retainer for her. While we were there, they gave us recommendations of where we could eat lunch and shop in the area as well! These people are amazing. The location I frequented on Gammon had a comfortable and welcoming lobby area along with pleasant treatment rooms. I never once had a bad experience with the staff. They were all kind hearted people. I had Dr. Knutson specifically and he was amazing! He listened to any and all of my concerns. He thoroughly explained not only what he was doing for treatment but why. (Which I strongly appreciated.) Overall it is an amazing treatment center with staff who go above and beyond. Would recommend them for anyone in the area!!!

Dr. Youngquist Sr. completed my orthodontia and results were fine…read more There were significant issues with his behavior that were never adequately addressed by him or his staff. He arrived over an hour late after asking me to arrive early in the morning which made it necessary for me to make arrangements at my work. When he did arrive, he didn't apologize, but explained that he was at a ball game up north and couldn't get back on time. He explained further how important he felt it was to take his (grown) son to this ball game since he'd never been to one before. He then proceeded to spill acid in my mouth which caused a permanent scar. By that point I began to realize that he probably was suffering from a hangover. After that, he called my home in the evening (very likely drunk) and admitted that he spilled the acid and told me what the specific chemical was - all of this only after I asked him repeatedly to explain what happened. (I believed that he called in order to try to prevent a lawsuit). He then proceeded to tell me at great length, to both my and my husband's astonishment, that he once had to wait for a long time at a doctor's office and that waiting for doctors is to be expected and that I had no reason to complain. He also went on and on about the importance of taking his son to the ball game. He was clearly drunk and very defensive. I made an appointment a few days later to review my mouth injuries and to discuss his phone call to my home and his behavior in general. Dr. Youngquist did not appear. One of his assistants denied that my injuries were caused by the acid spill. All of my questions and comments were ignored. After that, I discontinued all association with him. I very likely should have pursued a claim, but I was fed up with his pompous, self-aggrandizing, irresponsible behaviors and needed to move on. This was about ten years ago. I've been irritated during the past years when I've seen any ads, etc. referring to his practice. I probably should have found a way to warn others about him. I believe that, while he is capable of producing good orthodontic results, his behavior is detrimental and potentially harmful, especially since he deals with children who have no way of determining if he's at his best when he is performing a procedure. I don't know if he is still practicing or if his son took over. If he is still active, I would be wary of his unusual behaviors and be sure to be present when he performs procedures on children. Better yet, find another orthodontist. This is all unfortunate, but it needs to be said.

This place is amazing for kids. My kids are actually excited to go to the dentist, which is saying…read moresomething. The staff are super friendly, and they go out of their way to make the kids feel safe and comfortable. The prize tokens after seeing the dentist are a hit for my kids. We never have to wait more than a few minutes after arriving for our appointments, which is funny because with the movie theaters my kids actually like waiting in the waiting room.
