Fast forward 15 years, I was back and in need of some more teeth correction. Between my wisdom teeth growing in fully, and my lack of retainer-wearing as a teenager, everything in my mouth began to crowd. I really wasn't up for the idea of having a mouth full of metal as an adult, so I've opted for Invisalign! All the staff, including Dr. Race himself, are all incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable with making my decision. They've answered all my questions thus far, and made it clear they'll available anytime if I run into problems. My first appointment was a consult helping me have a fully understanding of what I needed, the process, and the cost. I returned for scans and X-rays they needed to create my clear trays. Then finally, a few months later, my Invisalign was ready! I went in yesterday to get them all fitted and fastened. Let me tell ya, it's a weird feeling and I already know it'll be a little bit of burden for a few months, but it'll certainly be worth in. They were able to show to a 3D rendering of how my jaw and teeth will move over time, and I cannot wait for the end result. Oh and as for their new safety precautions (re: covid), I would give them six stars. You can tell how serious they take the health of their patients and their employees. There's a clear cut procedure on when folks enter, with temps taken, reduced touching of anything, masks, hand sanitizers, and beyond. I'll report back when the process is complete!

As an adult, getting braces from Uniquely You Orthodontics was a great decision. Did I enjoy having…read morebraces? Nope. Do I now like and appreciate the end results? Absolutely. Was it worth it? Yes and they solved both aesthetic issues (crooked front teeth) as well as orthodontic issues (misalignment causing pain). Would I recommend Dr. Schmidt and his team? Yes, without reservation. I was always treated in a professional manner even when as an adult many decades past childhood, I whined about the discomfort. Dr. Schmidt and his team were always there with advice to make the process more comfortable. All along the way, they proved they cared about the care they were providing. Another thing that I really appreciated was the calmness of the office. Before choosing Uniquely You, I visited two other recommended orthodontists. One of them reminded me of some sort of amusement park - with lots of noise, activities, even prizes. Granted that the braces business is mostly for kids, I found those environments too distracting and too crowded as an adult. At Uniquely You there was always a sense of calm and professional attention to each individual patient. I never felt rushed or part of an assembly line. They treated me as a unique individual. Their name, Uniquely You, was well chosen because it really is truth in advertising.

Reception and scheduling staff always seems put out when you call in, and everyone who works there seems generally miserable. Once, on the same day as being put on, two brackets fell off of my daughters teeth and the wire came out- the same day!!! When I called to get her back in, I was told she'd have to wait two days... unacceptable. If I hadn't prepaid for treatments we would leave. We will certainly not come back for round two of treatment...

Disgraceful experience - do not go here…read more My wife had a wisdom tooth pulled at Dental Associates of Wauwatosa on Monday, July 21, and the dentist who did it was a butcher -- rough, careless, and left her in serious pain. Four days later, her neck is swollen, and we're worried she has an infection. She called them on Wednesday to report the pain and swelling, and their response? They told her that a 51-year-old woman "takes longer to heal." Are you kidding me? That's not just dismissive -- it's irresponsible. Since then, we've called three more times, and no one has followed up or shown any concern. My wife and I have been patients here for over three years, but this is the final straw. This place clearly does not care about their patients once the procedure is done. We're now heading to an emergency dental clinic because they won't help.
