My anxiety is about a 9. Not just from pain etc. Also my teeth are not the best and I feel embarrassed. Instead of judgment or silence. I received understanding and empathy. Through out the procedure, my pain was constantly there first concern. I was given multiple additional shots as they said, it turns out my canine was a "hot" tooth. The chair massaged me and Amber brought me a glass of water and a heated neck wrap. She even brought my wife back, who was waiting in the lobby; while I was getting numb. She was a very proactive and thoughtful assistant. Doctor Cook was a complete professional and her chair side manner was top shelf. This dental office is set apart from the rest and above them all, in it's own league. If you are on the fence and putting off going to the dentist because of anxiety. She is very…read moreknowledgeable not just about teeth but how your oral health might be affected by or might be affecting other parts of your health. She's very thorough and honest. I had another dentist tell me I had a cavity and Dr. Lueck determined that I in fact did not have a cavity but my filling would need to be replaced to cover the gap between my teeth which would avoid breaking the enamel on my second tooth - something that should be avoided if possible. She also took my breathing problems seriously and gave me an excellent referral to an ENT which has changed my quality of life drastically for the better. She even prepared a report for me to give to the ENT so I could go informed and speaking the same "doctor" language with the issues she saw, which likely saved me time and added clarity to the ENT. I've referred other friends to her who have been equally as satisfied. She is not only highly competent and intelligent, but really great at communicating with patients, which at times it can be hard to find a doctor who does both. This is what health care should look like. So grateful to her and her team.

I decided that I couldn't wait for a teeth cleaning until I returned home so I went to see Dr. Rau. After my cleaning his hygienist and the Dr. Rau stated I had multiple cavities (6) that needed to be filled immediately. I found this strange since I haven't had a cavity since I was a child and I just had my teeth cleaned by my aunt 8 months prior. I called her and sent the scans over to her and my hometown dentist within the week. Dr. Rau's office was very hesitant in sending my scans and questioned my aunt and my dentists knowledge about my teeth. Long story short, I ultimately went home to have my hometown dentist look at my teeth (and take new scans) and I had no evidence of any cavities. Dr. Rau's office was just looking to do unethical and unneeded work to make money off of me. Please beware of this office!!!

We were overcharged and when I called they apologized and told me the service was coded wrong. They promised a refund just to wrap me into a bureaucracy hell. The lady in billing department tells me that there are open claims and refund cannot be issued. I called my insurance they told me they paid everything. Please teach your contractors some manners when talking to people. I am a big believer that you get more bees with honey not vinegar, unlike your clerks.

He had to give me the hard news of needing my wisdom teeth removed and also needing to have my cavities filled. He was able to give me a referral to a lovely oral surgeon who took care of my wisdom tooth extraction easily and he took care of all of the cavities. He truly cares about your comfort during the experience as well and uses longer acting topical agents for numbing so your pain doesn't come back as soon as your filling is completed. He explains things well and gives you enough information to make informed decisions. He treats you with a lot of respect as well. The front desk staff is really kind as well and he makes it easy for you to get in for appointments.

As soon as you walk in, Haley will greet you and she is just so lovely! She knows all of their patients by name and even their partners (I got my husband to go there too). The hygienists are professional and thorough with their cleaning. This is a no judgement zone! I had not been to the dentist in a bit and they treated me with respect and patience. They do not usually take insurance but you can get reimbursed by your insurance after. Although this does not work for everyone, I recommend looking into it to see if this is an option because I swear this is the best dentist in MKE!
