After two appointments with Generations Dental, I requested my records and transferred to another…read moredentist. The practice used false-color images of my teeth to try and convince me that a patch on the rear of an upper molar needed to be removed due to decay and a crown put in its place. (An expensive procedure not fully covered by my insurance, even 'in-network'.) My first appointment with my new dentist confirmed that there is no actual decay, and that the removing the patch is not necessary...at least not yet. Furthermore, the dentists are not respectful of my hearing disability. My instructions to them of what to do to ensure accurate communication--how to speak to me during procedures when my hearing aids are out--were frequently ignored. It is not acceptable to respond to hearing impaired persons by saying things like: "Don't worry...," "It's OK...," or "...not important." Individuals with hearing disabilities are not to be treated like children. This practice functions like a "dental procedure factory," and I would look around before engaging them as your dentist.

What they probably do is make you make payments before the work is started. Staff turns over quickly. Casey at the front desk is a snot! This Doctor is to worried about lining his pocket book rather than patient care. He is inpersonable. He doesnt address you during a visit. He only talks to the hygienist. He rushes the process to get to the next patient. Everytime ive seen him, he is running between rooms taking care of several patients at the same time. They make an appointment with you for a specific procedure, bills the insurance and the procedure was never even done. This is theft and insurance fraud. He wears a mask but you can smell his stinky breath through the mask. Dont think he has ever heard of a tic tac. I arrive on time and have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to see anyone after my appt time already started. Than they threaten to release you from care if you call the day of and tell them that your son was hit by a drunk driver, got a broken collar bone and I was in the er with him all night. Casey addresses this by saying, "Tom said that hes losing money when someone cancels in an energency" How heartless and selfish can one man be???? Well, he is. My child comes before your pocket book sir andyour office is the one that calls me to cancel because you are over booked. Also they rather me come in with COVID than miss a appointment and put everyone's saftey aside just to line his pocket book. Dont go to Maui for 2 weeks if you cant afford that style. I will be contacting my insurance and filing a complaint against him for fraudulently charging the insurance for services he never did. When you come in sedated from the medication he prescribed before a procedure, he has his staff come to you with a tablet to sign off on costs, than before you leave they ask for the full payment (they say its in what u sign) Clearly illegal and predatory practices. Someone under the influence of a sedative that you prescribe sir is in no condition to be signing medical forms or agreeing to a cost. This man should get his license taken away. I had perfect teeth before seeing him. His filings dont last 2 years. Ppl follow your insurance. Most procedures for filing are covered for 24 months. What they do is when a person changes a job or their current job changes dental insuran e companies, they try to bill them. Trish was notorious for trying to do this, but finally I caught on. Once I brought it to Brooks attention who does the billing, the office ladies have all been snots and Tom could care less what his staff does as long as the golden lining is around that pocket book! If you want your crowns to last at least 10 years and filings for more than a year, stay clear from this dental office!!!! They are crooks. There are plenty of dental providers out there that'll accept your insurance. Just because they have a piano in the waiting room doesnt mean anything. Been the same old furniture and decor for over a decade!!!!! $10's of thousands of dollars later because of his poor work I ended up losing 4 teeth. He puts crowns on teeth that cant support the crown therefore it gets decay and falls off. Just a lawsuit waiting to happen. Sir, its time to go back to dental school or retire!!!!! If i could put a negative star I would. You dont even deserve a 1 star!!!

Dear Dr. Zimmet,…read more Thank you so much for taking good care of our family. You recently saw two of our children. Our daughter had a routine cleaning in mid-May, and she is quite proud of herself for quitting her thumb-sucking on the very day that you and Mary gave her your pep talks and pinky promises. She's a very decisive young person, but I know that your straightforward, caring approach to the conversation helped seal the deal on putting that habit in the past. Our son had two cavities filled on June 1st. I was impressed with the way you calmly and positively talked him through the process prior to starting the procedure. My husband and I appreciate you being realistic with him about how he is accountable for preventing future cavities. Kaitlyn's kind disposition made him feel more comfortable, and I can see that she takes pride in doing her job well, too. We do not plan to have any more cavities in our family - it's a new rule around here. :) I do anticipate, however, that we'll need plenty of dental care in the future. I remember my own parents trying out a few dentists on me and my younger siblings when we were kids. It took a while to find a good one. We feel very fortunate that our family has a dentist we can trust to not only take good care of all of our teeth right now, but also someone who will help our children develop good dental habits that will lead to healthy teeth for years to come.

During my last appointment, I saw a Black woman in the office--and it struck me that in four years, this was the very first time I had seen any semblance of diversity in your workspace. This prompted me to look closer at your environment, from the magazines provided to the imagery on the walls; the lack of representation is stark and exclusionary. Furthermore, I was deeply unsettled to find that the Office Manager brings her dog into a clinical dental setting. As someone there for a medical cleaning, I found the presence of an animal in a healthcare facility to be both unprofessional and unhygienic. As a white woman of German descent married to an African American woman, I have listened to my wife's accounts of "Sundown towns." My experience at your office recently mirrored those stories--a space that feels curated for one demographic while making others feel unwelcome or invisible. I am ashamed to have patronized an establishment that feels like a "Sundown office" for as long as I have. We will be transferring our records to a practice that prioritizes both clinical hygiene and modern, inclusive values.and DIVERSITY!
