    Tacos

When it comes to food halls, they're usually a fun place with a lot of options and maybe some entertainment. This one seemed lack luster compared to the others in town. There were a couple food stalls, but a lot of outdated signage and a massive amount of tables for the people and food options available. They did have some games, but one ski ball machine and one claw machine and one basketball machine. I liked the options but I wish there were at least two ski ball machines so you can play with the person you're with. I got tacos, they were alright. The best thing I've had here was the Korean fried chicken. I think once they add more options, and maybe better seating/ atmosphere it could be improved a lot. Even if they added a nice patio area it would be a lot nicer.

I'm updating my review after the new management took over because I can really see that. They're trying to create a positive spin on this really neat venue after the old management had really tanked its quality. I'm happy to see new vendors really embracing the space. One of the biggest draws is the outdoor seating. It's really good to see a variety of options as well as ample seating and space to hang out while you eat. I've also noticed some events that they've been putting on and it's exciting. If I didn't have two young kids, I would be definitely attending since I live right down the road! I really hope the food vendor stick around because everything I've tried is very good.

This is a nice food hall option. The space is open and airy, with a variety of seating available. There are some nice touches, like featured art, a piano, board games and activities, and signage featured upcoming events. Of course, a major draw is the food, and they have a good selection: hibachi, Korean fried chicken, pizza, Indian food, Mexican food, burgers, sushi, boba tea, and cheesecake. A nice sized parking lot is available. Unfortunately, it didn't seem as busy as it should be at peak lunch hour, when we visited. Hopefully, they are getting more traffic at other times, because it's a nice spot.

Updating my previous review. What has happened to Bubbly Hall? We came here on a whim and thought we might get sushi. The sushi place is still there and it looks fine but holy guacamole.... The vibe of the place was not working for me. We ended up leaving. Half the original vendors are gone! A hibachi vendor took the BBQ, so that was good as the bbq wasnt good. just Chicken is gone. Sad about that. Replaced by another fried chicken place but the new chicken spot lacks something visually. Mr Hummus is gone.. now replaced by an Indian stand that weirdly serves, wait for it... Lo Mien. I found that really weird. A couple places dont have vendors. It just seemed really struggling. We left and drove to Mr Sushi. I think we did the same thing last time we stopped in. I want to support it but it just doesnt have the same draw or vibe as the North Markets, Budd Dairy or East market. Sad.

The garlic ramen. Mushrooms were so rubbery I thought it was seaweed at first.

Grab Bag: - A container from which a person chooses a wrapped item at random, without knowing the contents. - An assortment of miscellaneous items. That's what Bubbly Hall is, a grab bag of various food establishments. Walk in, make a choice, hope for the best. I did a Yelp search for ramen, this place came up as the closest option, so off I go. Wonky entrance, but that's ok. I don't mind a little wonky if there's good food on the other side. I was let down by the interior. No warmth, no vibe. I'm spoiled, see my Optimus Hall review. Honestly, it felt like a mall food court. The only thing missing was a Pretzel Palace and Dip and Dots. Some of the vendors (according to their website) are Crunchick, Dhaba Kitchen, Rhino Smashburger, El Burrito Bowl, Boba Paradise and a few others. There's also an open bar in the middle of it all. Kiku Sishi was my destination. I ordered the Bkack Garlic Shio Ramen. Hmmmm. The broth lacked depth. I mean come on, we all know that the broth is the foundation of any ramen or pho. The pork was firm and flavorless. The black garlic aroma oil flowed over the surface of the broth but did not bring the flavor. The marinated soft boiled egg was good but there was only one half. Where'd the other half go? Please give me both of my halves. How do you store half of a soft boiled egg? Whose half was I eating? Bottom line, I wouldn't eat at Kiku again. Maybe there are other vendors there that are amazing, but I won't be back to find out. There was nothing at Bubbly that makes me excited to return. I've stuck my hand in the grab bag and came up empty.

Hibachi Run - Chicken & Steak

Hibachi Run My friend and I were since we both work in the area. We have never been to Bubbly Hall before so we were looking forward to it. We went on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet in there. I went to Hibachi Run, it sounded the best in the hall. I ordered the chicken and steak option, it was ok. It lacked flavor and portion size for the price, the rice was also overcooked. I also wish they had more sauce choices - I know yum yum sauce is the base level for hibachi but having more options would have been nice. I know they have a food truck and I look forward to try it.

There are 9 different places to eat from so dinner lunch dessert it's all here. They had some arcade type games and a lot of board games and cards that you can play. Lots of families here for dinner just hanging out. When we were here there was karaoke going on and anyone can join in. Everyone we interacted with at the different vendors were really nice and helpful.

Such a great spot - excited to see how it continued to grow with fun events for the community too! Parking: a little confusing to get into the lot from Central College but follow the street direction/sign and you'll end up in a large lot with plenty of parking! Hopeful the city expands the side walk too for walking options! Food: so many cute options for places to eat and something for everyone! I got a sushi roll and split an order of hummus from different stands. The sushi was delicious and reasonably priced for nice sushi around Columbus! The hummus was huge and delicious - you can buy pita on the side but it doesn't come with it (2 pita for $0.99 isn't bad though). They had several other options like BBQ, Cheescake and a new milkshake spot that look amazing (they all do really) and I'm excited to go back and try! They also have a full bar with local breweries and a wine bar! Ambiance: casual but fun and upbeat. I think as their special nights grow and they have more live music, it's popularity will continue to grow! Ample seating inside and outside with tables for big and small groups is a huge plus. Definitely worth checking out!

Glad to have this option in New Albany! Building has a weird layout and weirder parking space. Several food option, be sure to see them all before making a choice! I tried Hoya's, it's a food bowl concept with Somali food. It was really good, the meat I ordered 1/2 portion of both chicken options. I preferred the less sweet one. Good portions, good flavor. I would come back again! It's hidden around the corner in bubbly food hall.

Finally stopped in for some bubble tea at the request of my kids and they give it a big thumbs up! Food options include Indian, Sushi, Ramen, 2 Korean restaurants (the Korean fried chicken is amazing, we were given some delicious samples, yea us) as well as a full bar, burgers and even a little live music on Halloween. We will probably be back this weekend to try a few places out for dinner.

Updating to 4 Stars because The Cheesecake Girl is amazing! Will go back for dessert there! Also they added some outside seating.

    Ramen

Terrible food. No flavor. Every place tasted like the next place. Meats were old. No salt no garlic. Yum yum sauce certainly wasn't. It's like a big garage with some expensive wanna be high end food that will never make it in a million years unless they install some spice machines!!!! I spoke to a few customers and they felt the same way. Everyone in our party of 12 threw their food out. Then a quick trip to Wendy's.

    Entryway out of a few.

Even though they are very traditional diners and were intimidated by the concept of so many choices and having to order at the counter of each vendor or on your smart phone, they really enjoyed it. I enjoy a food hall and this one was very well designed with a large bar plenty of seating and a lot of TVs. The choice of restaurants available was diverse as well ranging from Mexican, Italian, Cuban, American, Vietnamese, Korean and more. I had a pastrami burger from Preston's that was very salty but very good. I also tried some of the fried mozzarella from the Italian restaurant on the corner. My father-in-law had a burger and fries from Preston's and my mother-in-law had a chicken tender basket from the chicken place which I forgot the name of. My wife had pho. I wish my local food hall in Nashville had the option to scan a code on any of the tables and order food from any of the restaurants all at one time like this place does. It makes it very convenient so you just sit down make your selections have your conversations and and you get a text to go pick up your food from whichever place when it's ready.

If you're looking for a place where you can literally walk in hungry and leave planning your next…read morevisit before you hit the parking lot -- that's East Market. This place is a food lover's playground. The vibe is energetic but relaxed, with a collection of food booths serving everything from comfort eats to globally inspired dishes. It's the kind of spot where everyone in your group can order from a different vendor and still sit together -- which I love. First up for me was Saba's, and wow... I ordered the Mediterranean brisket cigars. These were smoked brisket, shredded super fine and infused with BBQ and Tennessee whiskey, wrapped in a wonton wrapper, then deep fried to crispy perfection. They were served with a cilantro cream dipping sauce that took them over the top. The outside had that perfect crunch, and the inside was smoky, savory, and just a little sweet from the whiskey infusion. Absolutely incredible. One of those bites where you pause and go, "Okay... this is special." Then I headed over to Buck City Sammies and ordered the Bodega sandwich -- and let me tell you, this sandwich does not play around. Wagyu beef grilled and shredded, layered with aged sharp cheddar and American cheese, topped with garlic confit sauce, lettuce, tomato, and red onions on a baguette. The beef was rich and flavorful, the cheese melt was on point, and that garlic confit sauce tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was balanced, hearty, and ridiculously delicious. East Market isn't just a place to eat -- it's a place to explore. Multiple booths, huge flavors, and something new to try every time. If you're in Columbus and love great food, this is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for round two.

Let Jess Tell It…read more East Market | Franklin Park, Columbus Price per person: $15-30 Wait time for a table: No table service -- grab a seat wherever you can Noise level: Moderate to loud (it's a food hall, so expect a buzz) Seating options: Communal tables, bar seating, high-tops, outdoor patio Vegetarian options: Yes -- several stalls offer veggie choices Dietary restrictions: Vendor-dependent; some gluten-free options available Parking: Free lot + street parking (fills quickly on weekends or event days) Kid-friendly: Yes, but keep an eye on them -- very open and active Wheelchair accessible: Yes, wide walkways & accessible seating East Market stays booked and busy in the best way -- a true Columbus-style food hall where you can wander, browse, and let your appetite pick the direction. Even though I grabbed my actual meal next door at Local Cantina Trolley Barn, I still walked through to get the vibe, take in the energy, and check out who's serving what. Vendors you'll spot inside: * Creole 2 Geaux -- Cajun/Creole comfort dishes * Just Chicken -- crispy chicken sandwiches & tenders * Koso -- ramen, noodles, and rice bowls * The Pitt BBQ -- smoked meats and sides * Hisham's Bakery -- Middle Eastern pastries * Reverie -- cocktails & spirits * The Plant Gays, Poke Bowl, and dessert spots like The Cheesecake Girl (Perfect for groups that can't agree on anything.) Good-to-know for first-timers: * There's no single line -- each vendor has its own counter. * You'll order your food, grab your tray, and then find a seat anywhere in the building. * The bar inside stays active, especially evenings and weekends. * On busy nights, seats turn over fast but not instantly -- be ready to do a little "table scouting." * The building itself is renovated with a historic trolley barn feel -- lots of natural light and exposed brick. * Great place to bring out-of-towners: you can sample multiple Columbus spots without driving all over the city. Even without eating inside this time, it reminded me why East Market works: It solves the "What are we eating?" standoff better than almost anywhere else in the city. Save this if you want a go-to Columbus spot with options, drinks, and an easy setup for groups. Question for the community: What vendor are you loyal to in here? I'll try them on my next actual eating visit.
