Melissa did offer to have some one come to correct it but honestly as a first time customer I feel that it should have been done right the first time and i shouldn't have had to complain. Another roofing company provided an estimate but it had very little details as to what additional costs could be possibly incurred if there was any underlying roof damage. They weren't the lowest priced estimate but they were competitive with the lowest estimate received. My experience with this company has been very good, starting with the initial visit and inspection through the installation of the gutters and downspouts. Of all the roofers I had out to give estimates, Blake and his team were the only ones to physically go up on the roof to do an inspection. All the others merely stood on the ground and did visual inspections. Blake also gave a very honest assessment of the roof's condition (i.e. that it could last another 2-3 years) whereas all the other roofers just said it needed to be replaced. This honesty was one of the reasons I gave Peerless the job. Their estimate was also very detailed, so as to make comparisons with other bids easy, whereas some of the "bids" were nothing more than a contract to sign with all the details done verbally. Once the job was started, the crew worked extremely hard, from 6:30 in the morning until after 6 at night. All landscaping was covered and the group did a conscientious clean-up when the job was complete. The gutters were done the next day and that crew also worked very fast and did a great job. All in all, Peerless did a very professional job from beginning to end. While not the cheapest company, I felt that the job they did was well worth the cost of the contract. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family.

I had a leak somewhere around a second story window that let rainwater into the house. Art was the first to respond to a few calls I made to local contractors and we setup an appointment for an estimate the next morning. He shows up with a crew, makes a bid, and then pushes to get started: "This is the day to do it. You've got a leak in your house!" Seems to be the MO: first to respond, high sales pressure. At the end of the day, the job site was well-cleaned and the second story window looked OK at first glance. Several days later, I saw siding flapping above the window. Going up to look, I saw the siding that had been reinstalled after they had sealed the leaking areas had been trimmed too short to stay behind the J-channel. There were also about 5-6 new cracks several places in the vinyl and also several steel nails, now with visible rust, that had been used to hold the vinyl siding latched together. I would have preferred new siding purchased and installed if pieces were cracked during the re-install, but was not given the option. Art was very responsive to a call regarding these issues and came back out the same day with his siding guy. They took a look and we discussed. Art preferred, and I agreed, not to take pieces off and potentially expose new holes that could admit water. I complained the siding was cut and now it doesn't fit well; the siding guy gave a speech claiming he did not cut it. The discussion ended with Art saying "we'll doctor it up". 15 minutes later they had disappeared without a word. They caulked most of the cracks they had created and added more face nails through the vinyl to keep it in place above the window. A couple other off-handed comments that afternoon made me question his ethics and quality standards. Art pointed to some cracked siding in the bottom course due to the lawnmower - and seemed to imply that I shouldn't worry about cracks they had made around the window since I already had some cracked siding down below. He also distanced himself from the quality issue saying he was just the roofing guy - he didn't work on the siding. I would expect the company owner (?) and crew chief to take ownership for the entirety of the project, including the final quality.

Mike then wrote a full report for me, with pictures, to submit. Solar company rep came out, Mike even took the time to come and meet him at the same time. Solar company admitted fault and will now repair my roof at no charge to me. Mike didn't even get the job, which I'm a little saddened by, because the solar company is going to do it, but his professionalism and going above and beyond saved me about $8k and at a time when I'm trying to sell my house. We also had them put gutters up in front and on our pole barn. The front gutters seemed to be installed correctly but the pole barn gutters were installed improperly and fell to the ground with the first snow storm. We asked Charlie to fix/reinstall the gutters since his employees did not properly secure it. Charlie stated he would fix it so as installed properly. Then we received a contract to pay for wood to install the gutters and were told he would not fix it unless we signed the blank estimate. There wasn't an amount on it, so we told him we wanted to know the extra charge (we didn't feel we should have been charged anything, but would be willing to pay for extra material if that's what we needed). Charlie then stated he needed to charge for more labor costs and materials, and said he has to "take care of his boys" and said he would charge us to reinstall it properly (as if it was a new project). He refused to fix the issue his employees caused and now we're out the money we originally paid to have gutters put up and have to pay someone else to do the job correctly. We do not recommend them and wish we'd read the Yelp reviews when the contractor (who built the porch) recommended Charlie Copely.
