We love getting bubblecup when we're in the area! The owners are extremely nice. The wheel cakes are a must get when you visit and they're always made fresh. Best eaten right away and we always eat them right away. Lots of options for boba and shaved ice. Decor is really cute. Street parking only out front.

Bubblecup is one of a handful of bubble tea shops located in the Central West End. They offer a variety of dairy and non-dairy based flavored teas, slushes and snow cones. I ordered the Classic Taro Milk Tea (25% sweetness) with boba topping. It was absolutely delicious! The subtle flavor and reduced sweetness made it taste more like a refreshment than a dessert. There are a few considerations when choosing Bubblecup. First, due to its location in the Central West End, street parking nearby may not be available. Second, their seating area is limited to a few 2-top tables and a breakfast bar. Finally, Bubblecup does not serve food or snacks. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and look forward to my next visit.

Cute and cozy spot with conveniently priced and light desserts. Boba and shave ice was the same quality as what we have in California!

Great selection of boba teas, slushes, and frozen treats. Great service and casual ambiance. The owner greets customers with a smile and speedy service. I've been going for about six months now and never a bad experience or encounter. My favorite flavors are lavender and lychee.

Tshuah-ping (Taiwanese Shaved Ice) is how we recommend ringing in the first official weekend of summer! A new addition to the Central West End, our trip to Ice Cave ended up being a 2-for-1 surprise because it's tucked inside Bubblecup Tea Zone! Naturally, we needed to order from both menus! Here's what we tried: Strawberry Banana Snow Matcha Shaved Ice Watermelon Shaved Ice Taiwanese Shaved Ice is the perfect middle ground between ice cream and the type of snow cones we grew up with here in STL. It's creamy and refreshing. Not too savory, not too sweet--just right! And the Snow options are comparable to milkshakes. The shaved ice menu is small, but the list of milk teas, fruit teas, slushes, and snows go on and on! Plus, there are a number of enticing toppings. From red beans and grass jelly to popping boba and sea salt cream, the customization options are a whole other flavor adventure! Bubblecup, a popular Missouri shaved ice and bubble tea shop, recently opened a new location in the Central West End a few weeks ago. This is their second location to open in St. Louis, with their other shop located on Manchester. Bubblecup offers a large selection of drinks, including classic brewed teas, milk teas, sea salt teas, and slush. They also offer a variety of flavors of shaved ice with an assortment of toppings to choose from, including jellies, boba pearls, red bean, taro, mochi balls, and condensed milk. I ordered taro milk tea, my usual go-to drink, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The milk tea was the perfect amount of sweetness and the boba pearls had a nice chewy consistency to them. I also decided to sample the watermelon shaved ice with the assortment of jellies, which was recommended by the owner. The shaved ice was light and fluffy and tasted just like a watermelon! It did not feel like it was artificially flavored like some shaved ices taste sometimes. The owner was very nice and I was able to pick up my milk tea and shaved ice very quickly. I will definitely be returning to try other flavors and would recommend friends to visit too.

Visited the CWE location over the weekend and was very disappointed. The inside is cute but there's only a few tables. There was no boba available... again. Waited for about 15 mins to get my drink. I ordered half sweet but the drink was 100% sugar.

Great spot for bubble tea in the CWE! They had a HUGE menu, I was a little overwhelmed haha, but went for my go to which is the mango tea with boba and lychee jelly. It was fresh and delicious. They also have different sweetness levels - I asked for 25% sweetness which I was happy with! I'm excited to try their spicy chai bubble tea next time I'm in the area! Never heard of that!

Just got the mango pineapple shaved ice! It is very light and fluffy! They come with popping pearls that are very flavorful! The staff at the front was also very friendly and helpful.

The inside is so clean and the workers are sooo nice! The boba was made fresh and it was a good price.

Visited the CWE location so maybe other locations will be different, but I was not impressed. The fruit milk teas me and my friends got tasted extremely artificial (for example, the peach milk tea was very syrup-y and had a banana? aftertaste). The shaved ice was overly sweet but would've been alright if it wasn't so expensive. Overall, I would not come back here for boba.

This place has the most amazing, tasty, authentic Taiwanese shaved ice ever!!!!! I'm visiting from California and the last time I had shaved ice this good was when I was vacationing in Taiwan over ten years ago. The owners (who are super nice) mentioned they use recipes from their mom in Taiwan which I totally believe. They create ultra-fine, super flavorful, cascading, layered ribbons of shaved ice with goodies like boba, mango, red beans or taro on the side, depending on which flavor you order. It is so good that in the 10 days I have been in St. Louis visiting, I have gone back 8 times. My favorite is the taro shaved ice, with the mango being a close second. I wish they would open a shop in California near me!

The bubble tea menu at Bubblecup Tea Zone has a lot of variety including traditional as well as unique tea options. The service is great and the staff are happy to answer any questions. This quaint bubble tea shop in CWE offers a relaxing place to get some tasty treats including traditional shaved ice!

Tropical moose is a must in the summer! My favorite is the Georgia sunshine, but they offer…read moremultiple flavors and toppings such as nerds, whipped cream, pop rocks and sprinkles. We even take the dogs and they have a dog flavored snow cone.. however, last time it was just plain ice and whipped cream for something like 2$.. normally it's worth it when it's the actual flavor for the dogs. Ours didn't really care for just the plain ice and whipped cream and it seemed excessive to charge for that. The sizes range from mini to extra large jumbo but honestly, the mini does the trick. Good ice to syrup ratio for the most part. They usually have young highschoolers working and there's usually a line. it is definitely a hangout spot for young people and the vibe with the farmers market really is fun. They have a lot of seating around, picnic tables as well as benches and plenty of parking as it is basically connected to the Kirkwood farmers market. I also liked that they're open relatively later. Also, if you ever get a chance to try the waffles from the waffle truck, highly suggest! Overall a great snowcone stand.

The employee was very good and helpful with my several questions before I spent a few bucks on one of these. People really love this place and I'm not sure why... nostalgia? This isn't finely shaved shave like Hawaiian style. These are snow cones... as in ice cones... as in chunks almost as large as what the ice cream van peddled. I thought we were all past this style when we were introduced to shave(d) ice. No? I gave up on mine after a couple of minutes. Styrofoam cups. I feel guilty. I am sorry, Planet Earth. I regret it.
